Mrs. Winona Barbara Rogers age 72 of Chapman Ford Rd. Blairsville passed away on Monday Oct.9, 2006 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Rogers was born on Jan.24, 1934 in Rose Bud, SD., The daughter of the late Owen Phillip Young and the late Eva Roubideuy Young. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty two years, Eugene (better known as Gene) Rogers who passed away on April 7, 2006, two sons, Ricky Rogers in 2006 and Wayne Rogers in 1987, two brothers, Owen Young Jr. and Alex Lundermen, and a sister, Louella Young. Mrs. Rogers was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving Mrs. Rogers are two daughters and son in laws, Verna and Ricky Vincent of Forest Park, GA., Janet and Jeff King of Blue Ridge, three sons and two daughter in laws, William and Glenda Peck of Douglasville, Michael Rogers of Seattle, WA., Pat and Laura Hacker of Kennesaw, three brothers, Sylvester Young of Rose Bud, SD., Wayne Young of Blairsville and Dwight Young of Houston, TX., seven grandchildren, Chase, Nicky, Christy, Krystal, Tracey, Jason and Jonathon, four grandchildren, Brandy, Brittney, Courtney and Clint Jr., many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October, 11, 2006 at 1:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William Sisum officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Clint Bartlett, William Peck III, Jason Peck, Jonathon Hacker, Joey Colwell and Tim Colwell. iIntermentwill follow in the Union Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Grady Warren age 88 of Mt. Pleasant Church Rd. Blairsville passed away on Friday Oct.20, 2006 in the Clay County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Warren was born on Dec.29, 1917 in Union County, The son of the late Dallas Warren and the late Julie Grizzle Warren. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by a son Jerry Warren and a daughter, Joy Dean Warren, brothers and sisters, Ruth Holcombe, Ralph Warren, Clifford Warren and Lea Ford Warren. Mr. Warren was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Warren are his loving wife of sixty nine years, Vonnie Lou Warren, two daughters and one son in law, Eulene and Evon Deaver of Blairsville, Shirley Blankenship of Bonita Springs, FL., two sons, Monroe Warren of Murphy, NC., James Richard Warren of Blairsville, one brother and sister in law, Glen and Thelma Warren of WA., three sisters and two brother in laws, Geneva DeFolco of Canton, OH., Della and Bill Bowers of Mineral Bluff, GA., Stella and Ben Shell of Idaho, two sister in laws, Grovie Warren of Suches, Lillie Warren of Blairsville, Nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held on Sunday Oct.22, 2006 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ronald Broadhead officiating. ELIZABETH LULE EUBANKS
Mrs. Elizabeth Lule Bond Eubanks age 90 of Moon Shadow View Ln. Blairsville passed away on Thursday May 24, 2007 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Eubanks was born on March 25, 1917 in Atlanta, GA., the daughter of the late George Bond and the late Agnes Dressback Bond. She was Past President of Tony Valley Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, James Thomas Eubanks in 1997, mother and step father, Agnus and Homer Evans, and a grandchild, Pamela Eubanks. Mrs. Eubanks was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving Mrs. Eubanks are three sons and daughter in laws, Jim and Faye Eubanks of Blairsville, Fred and Ann Eubanks of Ormond Beach, FL., Gary and Audrey Eubanks of Cumming, GA., granddaughters, Robin Casey, Terri Eubanks and Angela Eubanks, grandsons, Mark and Ryan Eubanks, great-grandchildren, Colleen Casey, Declan Casey and Robyn Eubanks, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2007 at 12:00pm from the Westview cemetery in Atlanta with Chaplin Jerry Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Georgia Mountain Hospice in Mrs. Eubanks memory.

BRYAN CHARLES MALONE
Mr. Bryan Charles Malone age 48 of Skeenah Gap Rd. Blairsville formerly of Carson City, NV. passed away on Tuesday May 29, 2007 in the Emory Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Malone was born on April 25, 1959 in Anaheim, CA., the son of Wes Malone and Dixie Meyers Malone. He was a member of the Promise Keepers, The Men’s Group, Worked in Youth Ministries for many years, also worked at Missions in Los Angels, CA. Bryan was a man of integrity who loved his family and loved helping his fellow man and serving God. He was truly loved forever missed. Bryan was a member of the Blairsville Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving Mr. Malone are his loving wife and lifelong sweetheart, Laurie Mossholder Malone of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Rochelle and Matthew Kronenberg of Gardenville, NV., mother, Dixie Malone of Brey. CA., father, Wes Malone of Carson City, NV., two sisters and brother in laws, Tracey and Pat Milsop of Salton Sea, CA., Linda and Bill Gile of Whittier, CA., three step brothers, Kelly, Jeff and Steven O’Brien, one grandchild, Faith Nicole Kronenberg, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 7, 2007 at 3:00pm from the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Yorbe Linda, CA., with the Rev. P. D. James officiating. Mrs. Elizabeth King Davis age 88 of Blairsville formerly of Flat Creek Circle Blue Ridge where she lived for over thirty years, moving there from Miami, FL., passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2007 following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on Oct.6.1918 in Winchester, KY., the daughter of the late Clay King and the late Francis Rawlins King.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jenson C. Davis and by a daughter, Dorothy Diane Davis in 1993.She volunteer’s as a Pink Lady at Fannin Regional Hospital for over twenty years. Mrs. Davis was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Mrs. Davis are two sons and one daughter in law, Norman and Eunice (June) Davis of Blairsville, James C. Davis of Atlanta, GA., one daughter and son in law, Sylvia and Albert Perez of Arlington, TX., one brother and sister in law, one brother and sister in law, Clay and Mary King of Hernando, FL., eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Randall Mack John Beaver age 67 of Lake Cove Lodge rd. Blairsville passed away on Thursday May 31, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Beaver was born on Dec.21, 1939 in Union County, the son of the late Ernest Beaver and the late Vestie Thomas Beaver. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvie Odom and Inez MaGaha, two brothers, Press and Kermit Beaver. Mr. Beaver was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Beaver are his loving wife of forty seven years, Mary (Maggie) Abernathy Beaver of Blairsville, three daughters and son in laws, Glenda and Charles Wright of Blairsville, Belinda and Mark Cash of Alburn, GA., Geraldine and Gregory Boyer of Port St. John, FL., one sister, Birdie Davenport of Morganton, one brother and sister in law, J. L. (Loys) and Carolyn Beaver of Blairsville, four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jonathan Head, Joni and Ed Carney, Vanessa Hilton, three great grandchildren, Katelyn, Reba and Zachary Carney, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 3, 2007 at 3:00pm from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Rogers, Rev. Evan Hughes and Rev. Wayland Lovine officiating. Special music will be presented by the Heavenly Echoes. Mr. Beaver will lie in state at the church from 2-3pm prior to the service. Mr. Parker Reed Hambelton Sr. age 82 of Baberry Ln. Blairsville formerly of Ft. Pierce, FL. passed away on Thursday Oct.6, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Hambelton was born on Sept.11, 1923 in Ft.Pierce, FL., the son of the late Leslie Hambelton and the late Jesse Parker Hambelton. He was retired from the US Marine Corps and served in the WWII, The Korean War and The Vietnam War. Mr. Hambelton was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Surviving Mr. Hambelton are his wife of fifty eight years, Dorothy Sullivan Hambelton of Hilton Head, SC., Two sons and one daughter in law, John and Charlie Hambelton of Ft. Pierce, FL., Reed Hambelton of Blairsville, two daughters and son in laws, Kathy and Jim Lindsey of Ft. Pierce, Candy and Darren Gordon of Hilton Head, SC., one brother, Denny Hambelton of FL., eight Grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Leo Chastain age 51 of Goldmine Rd. Young Harris passed away on Monday October 10, 2005 in Union County. Mr. Chastain was born on Feb.2, 1954 in Hayesville, NC., The son of the late James Thomas Chastain and the late Vernia Garrett Chastain. At the time of his death he was employed with the Fannin County Road Department. He had lived in Union County for the past thirty one years. Mr. Chastain was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Chastain are his loving wife of thirty one years, Rita Chastain of Young Harris, one son and daughter in law, Michael and Shayla Chastain of Blairsville, Three sisters and brother in laws, Emma and Roy Free of Warne, NC., Iona and Carl Campbell of Lincolntin, NC., Blanche and Thomas Teems of Henry County, VA., four Brothers and three sister in laws, His twin brother Leon and Geneva Chastain, Wallace and Shirley Chastain, Billy and Rita Chastain, and Clifford Chastain all of Hayesville, One Grandchild, Shelby Chastain, Two Step Grandchildren, Ashley Johnson and Trevor Gordon, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. William Carlos Henderson age 47 of James Henderson Rd. Young Harris passed away on Wednesday Oct.12, 2005 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Henderson was born on Feb.16, 1958 in Hiawassee, GA., The son of Jim and Alice Henderson. He had lived all of his life in Union County.Mr. Henderson was a member of Many Forks Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hazel Marcum Garrett age 77 of Coker Hill Drive Hayesville, formerly of New Port, MI. passed away on Thursday Oct.13, 2005 in the Murphy Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Garrett was born on March 5, 1928 in Garrett, KY., The daughter of the late Ranson Marcum and the late Loustela Ward Marcum. She had retired from the Riverside Hospital in Trenton, MI. with over twenty one years of service. Mrs. Garrett was a member of the Monroe Full Gospel Church.

Mr. Vance David Free age 57 of Thomason Rd. Young Harris passed away on Tuesday Oct.24, 2006 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Free was born on April 22, 1949 in Clayton, GA., The son of the late William ( Bill) Free and the late Frances Brock Free. He was an Industrial Painter by trade. He was a veteran of the US Army of the Vietnam War, for which he received a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Free in 1977.Mr. Free was a member of the Gumlog Baptist Church.

Mr. Marvin Rastus Dockery age 60 of Young Harris Hwy Warren, NC. passed away on Friday Oct.20, 2006 at his home. Mr. Dockery was born on Dec.9, 1947 in Murphy, NC., The son of Mary Lou Graves Dockery and the late Lee Dockery. He retired in 1993 as a Boiler Maker and was a member of the I. B. B. M. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Gail Dockery in 2003 and by a brother, Clinton Kephart. Mr. Dockery was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lester Forney in 1995.Mrs.Forney was of the Methodist faith.
