Mrs. Floy Lousie Bradley age 95 of Pine Ridge Acres Blairsville formerly of Atlanta passed away on Friday June 22, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Bradley was born on Jan.26, 1912 in Folkston, GA., the daughter of the late H. W. Anderson and the late Bessie Leigh Gibson Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. T. Bradley, Sr. and by her first husband, Allen Mobley. Mrs. Bradley was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of Atlanta.
Surviving Mrs.Bradley are one daughter and son in law, Susan and Harry Howard of Blairsville, one brother and sister in law, Granvelee and Geraldine Anderson of Green Cove Springs, FL., two grandchildren, Richard Allen Howard of Powder Springs, GA., Terry Lynn and Husband Douglas Hagen of Taylors, SC., one great-grandchild, Bradley Hagen, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Bradley’s memory.

CHARLES CLAYTON FEARS
Mr. Charles Clayton Fears age 90 of Scenic Mtn. Park Drive Blairsville passed away on Friday August 5, 2005 in the San Fernando Hospital in Panama City, Panama following an extended illness. Mr. Fears was born on Feb.19, 1915 in Ossining, NY., The son of the late Charles Fears Sr. and the late Matilda Keenan Fears. He retired in 1972 as Chief of police with the Panama Canal. He had made his home in Blairsville since 1980.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was Past Grand Knight, A member of the Elks Club, A member of the International Chiefs of Police and the NRA. Mr. Fears was a member of the Columbus Catholic Church.
Surviving Mr. Fears are his loving wife, Joyce Fears of Blairsville, Two children, Elizabeth Goldstein of Panama. Charles Fears III of Scotch Plains, NJ., two step children, Sharron Emmons of Meriden, CT., Randy Emmons of Woodbury, CT., two brothers, George Fears of Dothan. AL., James Fears of WA., two sisters, Marian Fears of Waterbury, CT., Elizabeth Lucid of Naugatuck, CT., four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Charly Bull Soriero age 77 of Fall Lane Blairsville passed away on Tuesday Aug.30, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Soriero was born on July 4, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ., the son of the late Dominick Soriero and the late Nive Mele Soriero.He retired from the City of Hollywood, FL. in 1978.He was a veteran of the US Army of the Korean War. He was a member of the NRA, the American Rodeo Assc, And the American Quarter Horse Assc. Mr. Soriero was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mr. Soriero is survived by his loving wife of fifty two years, Beatrice Tesauro Soriero of Blairsville, four sons and three daughters in laws, Chuck and Anne Soriero of Mebourne, FL., Mike Soriero of Orlando, FL., Ernie Soriero and his Fiancé Robin Milton of Blairsville, Scott and Vivian Soriero of Titusville, FL., one brother, Ray Soriero of Hollywood, FL., five grandchildren, Montana, Caleb, Rachael, Gina, Marcie and Marlina, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept.3, 2005 at 9:00 am from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Richard Wise officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Chuck, Mike, Scott and Ernie Soriero. iIntermentwill follow in the Union Memory Gardens cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard conducting military honors.

Mr. James R. ( Ralph ) Sparks age 75 of 3300 Nottley Dam Road Blairsville passed away on Saturday September 3, 2005 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Sparks was born on February 17, 1930 in Union County, the son of the late Fred William Sparks and the late Amanda Julia Wiley. He was a native and life long resident of Union County. He retired in 1992 from Wright & Lopes as a welder. A Marine Corps Veteran. Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers and son Ronnie Sparks. Mr. Sparks was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Sparks are his loving wife Claudette Pettett Sparks of Blairsville. Daughter, Alicia B. Jones, son and daughter in lawTony and Faye Brown of Blairsville. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, five Nieces, four nephews and many other loving relatives and friends also survive.

LELAND SAMPSON DENNING
Mr. Leland Sampson Denning, age 89, of Beale Court Drive Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Denning was born on Feb. 21, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Folliott Denning and the late Lilla May, Coleman Denning. He had retired from the US Navy as Commander with over twenty-one years of service and had served in WWII. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the retired Officers Assoc., and was a member of the Amateur Radio Assoc. He was preceded in death by two wives, Marie Rita Denning in 1986 and by Mary Ellen Denning in 2001. Mr. Denning was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving Mr. Denning are his loving wife, Stella Rhein Denning of Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation at the funeral home was held on Sunday September 11, 2005 from 7–9 p.m. with interment following in the Arlington National cemetery in Arlington, VA, with Military Honors by the US Navy.

Mr. Harold Clyde Fair age 68 of Pleasant Hill Rd. Blairsville formerly of Athens, GA., passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2006 in the Union County Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mr. Fair was born on Feb.25, 1938 in Union County, The son of the late Lloyd Fair and the late Minnie Conley Fair.He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a native of Union County and had lived in Athens, GA. for over forty years before moving back to Blairsville. Mr. Fair was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Fair are one sister, Frances Partin of Blairsville, three brothers and sister in laws, Cecil and Yvonne Fair of Blairsville, Joe and Evelyn Fair of Blairsville, Tommy and Christine Fair of Athens, GA., several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday March 16, 2006 at 2:00pm from the Antioch Baptist church cemetery with the Rev. B. A. Buchanan officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist church cemetery fund in Mr. Fair’s memory.

BEULAH HUFFMAN
Mrs. Beulah H. Huffman age 85 of Furman Gribble Rd. Hiawassee formerly of Lakeland, FL., passed away on Thursday March 16, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Huffman was born on Jan.5, 1921 in Clark County, Ohio, The daughter of the late Samuel Hicks and the late Cassie Holbrook Hicks. Mrs. Huffman was the last of twelve children. Mrs. Huffman attended the Church of God.
Surviving Mrs. Huffman are two daughters and son in laws, Wilda and Carl Ranberger of Hiawassee, Linda Sue and Ron Massie of Lakeland, FL., six Grandchildren, Tim Booher(T. J., Sara, Joshua and Jessica), Robert Booher, Dawn Schwab, Robert & Sche’rie), Charlene Hicks, Penny Panstangil and Frankie Panstangil, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday March 19, 2006 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Glenn Eller officiating. The family will meet with friends following the services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Betty B. Felzer age 86 of Old Embers Ridge Blairsville formerly of Holiday, FL., passed away on Friday March 17, 2006 at the home of her daughter following an extended illness. Mrs. Felzer was born on Feb.20, 1920 in Toledo, OH., The daughter of the late Joseph K. Toth and the late Elizabeth Spisak Toth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manzel Felzer in 1995 and by a son, James Felzer in 2004.She was a member of the ladies Guild. Mrs.Felzer was a member of St. Vincent DePaul church in Holiday, FL. where she loved playing the organ and singing in the choir.
Surviving Mrs. Felzer are four daughters and son in laws, Barbara and Charles Michael of Blairsville, Helen and Charles Boldman of Dunnellon, FL., Kathleen and Chuck Dolan of Spring Hill, FL., Ruth Ann and Michael Bode of Bonita Springs, FL., two sons, Joseph and Manzel Felzer both of Glendale, AZ., a daughter in law, Norene Felzer of Columus, OH., many Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at 10:00am from the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic church in Holiday, FL., with Father Robert Chabot officiating. iIntermentwill follow in the Florida National cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The family will meet with friends at the Thomas Dobies funeral home in Holiday on Monday evening from 6-8pm.

Mrs. Christine V. Schmidt age 84 of Canterbury Trail Blairsville formerly of Winter Park, FL., passed away on Friday March 17, 2006 in the Union County Nursing home following an extended illness. Mrs. Schmidt was born on Dec.12, 1912 in Glenville, GA., The daughter of the late James Swindell and the late Mary DeLoach Swindell. She was preceded in death by her husband. Kurt Max Schmidt Sr. in 1986, two sisters, Blanche May, Euna Mae Purvis, three brothers, Doyle, Royce and Adron Swindell. Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church of Orlando, FL., and attended the Antioch Baptist church in Blairsville.
Surviving Mrs. Schmidt are one son and daughter in law, Kurt M. and Rebecca Schmidt of Blairsville, one sister, Mary Elaine Lloyd of Tavares, FL., two Grandchildren, Kris Schmidt of Willobee, OH., Monica Martin of Albany, GA., two Great-Grandchildren, Dallas and Austin Martin, many other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will meet with friends at the Mountain View funeral home on Sunday evening from 3-5pm. iIntermentwill follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Park cemetery in Winter Park, FL.

Mrs. Ruth Nolan Lauridsen age 89 of McIntosh Rd. Blairsville passed away on Sunday Aug.27, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Lauridsen was born on May 5, 1917 in Chicago, IL., The daughter of the late Harvey Harry Nolan and the late Addie Mason Nolan. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty two years, Roy Lauridsen in 1990, four brothers, Ernest, Roy, Chuck and Victor Nolan, also by a sister and brother in law who she was raised by, Myrtle and William Speaker. She was a member of the O. E. S. Mrs. Lauridsen was a member of the House Of Prayer Church.
Surviving Mrs. Lauridsen are one daughter, Joyce Mackel of Blairsville, two sisters, Janet Meshew of Key West, FL., Louise Berger of KS., two grandchildren, Janet Meshew of Key West and Louise Berger of KS., six great-grandchildren, Amelia, Soren, Maranda, Nevin, Nia and Justin, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held on Monday Aug.28, 2006 at 7:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Honaker officiating. iIntermentand graveside services followed on Tuesday Aug.29 at 4:00pm from the Lake Wales cemetery in Lake Wales, FL. Mr. Harold George Kieley age 87 of Booger Hollow Conn. passed away on Monday Aug.28, 2006 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Kieley was born on Dec.4, 1918 in Pelham, NY., The son of the late John Joseph Kieley II. He owned and operated a Taxi and Limo services for many years. He was an avid Bridge Player. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genivieve Elliot Kieley and by a son, Harold Kieley Jr.
Surviving Mr. Kieley are one son and daughter in law, John J. and Candace Kieley of Poway, CA., two sisters, Marjory Catherin DesRosier of Craryville, NY., Jaclyn Mathilda Hoffman of Flushing, MI., Six grandchildren, J. J. Kieley IV of Rohnert Park, CA., James Kieley of Chandler, AZ., Jeffrey Kieley of Monterey, CA., Michael Kieley, Mare Kieley and Michelle Farias all of Tijuana, Mexico, eight great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Stella Denning age 69 of Laurel Mtn. Estates Blvd. passed away on Wednesday Aug.30, 2006 at her home following a brief illness. Mrs. Denning was born on Dec.12, 1936 in Ridgebury, NY., The daughter of Mary Rhein Denning and the late George Rhein. She retired from the Avon Company after thirty five years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Denning in 2005 and by a daughter, Brenda Torres in 2003.She had made her home in Blairsville for the past seventeen years, moving here from New York. Mrs. Denning was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving Mrs. Denning are one daughter and son in law, Vicky and Fred Newkirk of Guilford, NY., mother, Mary Rhein of Goshen, NY., one brother and sister in law, Stanley and Marie Rhein of Liberty, NY., four grandchildren, Maria Roberts of Toccoa, GA., Steven Heater of Guilford, NY., Katlyn Newkirk and Fred Newkirk Jr. all of Guildford, NY., many other relatives and friends also survive.
