Mrs. Amanda Dawn Beavers Irick age 19 of Pine Log Rd. Young Harris passed away on Tuesday Jan. 10, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Irick was born on July 29, 1986 in Union County, The daughter of Richard Johnson and Mary Beavers. She was a native and lifelong resident of Union County and had attended the Union County School System. Amanda was a member of the Blairsville Church of Christ.
Surviving Amanda are her loving husband, Joshua Irick of Young Harris, mother, Mary Jane Beavers, step father, Richard Stemple of Blairsville, father, Richard Johnson of Blairsville, Grandparents, Don and Ann Beavers of Blairsville, mother in law, Cindy Lynd of Young Harris, brother in law, Ben Geiger of Davenport, FL., two brothers, Andy Deyton and Chad Stemple both of Blairsville, several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan. 14, 2006 at 3:30 pm from the Blairsville Church of Christ with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. The family will meet with friends following the services at the church. BETTY (MICKEY) REAGAN
Mrs. Betty (better known as Mickey) Reagan age 73 of White Path Way Ellijay, formerly of Blairsville passed away on Jan. 11, 2006 following an extended illness. Mrs. Reagan was born on Jan.14, 1932 in Fulton County, GA., The daughter of the late Billy Howard Johnson and the late Juanita Camp Johnson. She had retired in 1976 as a nurse with Autumn Breeze in Marietta. She had also worked at the Young Harris College Clinic. She was preceded in death by her step father, Harris Camp in 1979 and a brother, Billy Johnson in 1962.Mrs.Reagan was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs. Reagan are her loving husband of thirty five years Ralph Clifford Reagan of Ellijay, one daughter, Susie Barnes of Morganton, two brothers, Jack Johnson of Gainesville, Stephen and Phyllis Camp Goodlettsville, TN., Grandchildren, Andrew Barnes of Blairsville, Brandy Barnes formerly of Blairsville, Great-Grandchildren, Russell Barnes, Logan Russell and Madison Barnes, A special friend, Brenda Wiggins of Blairsville, Nieces and Nephews, Michael Johnson of Rockmart, GA., Jay Johnson of Cobb County, David Lee Johnson of Douglasville, Jackie L. Dyer, Kim Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Jamie Johnson, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service and interment will be held on Saturday Jan. 14, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Owltown Church of God cemetery with the Rev. Danny Myers and Chaplin Jerry Johnson officiating. Mr. Jerry Swayne Plott age 67 of Doc Jones Rd. Blairsville passed away on Thursday Jan. 12, 2006 in the Murphy Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Plott was born on May 11, 1938 in Union County, The son of the late Edward Hubert Plott and the late Bennie Hutson Plott. He was a native of Union County. Mr. Plott was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Plott are one daughter and son in law, Lisa and Coot Martin of Blairsville, one son and daughter in law, Bryan and Becky Plott of Loganville, GA., one brother and sister in law, Ervin and Delphia Plott of Blairsville, five Grandchildren, Cullen and Nevin Robertson, Haley, Hannah and Hadrian Plott many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Robert Lanier Churchill Jr. age 43 of Largen Rd. Blairsville formerly of Gainesville passed away on Sunday Jan. 22, 2006 at his home. Mr. Churchill was born on July 14, 1962 in Atlanta, GA., The son of the late Robert L. Churchill Sr., and the late Edrell Carter Churchill. He had been living in Blairsville for the past seven years. He was the owner of Southern Pride Builders of North GA. Mr. Churchill was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Churchill are three children, Robert Churchill III of Blue Ridge, Chris Churchill of Blairsville, Nichole Cox Churchill of Ohio, three sisters, Barbara Churchill Behanna of Snellville, GA., Julie Anna Churchill of Covington, GA., Toni Frances Pisselee of Palm Coast, FL., one brother, Glenn Carter Churchill of Louisville, KY., his Fiancee, Sheri Biemeret of Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday Jan. 26, 2006 at 4:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital of Atlanta in Mr. Churchill’s memory. DESSIE N. NOBLES
Mrs. Dessie N. Nobles passed away peacefully into Gods hands on Wednesday Jan. 25, 2006 at her home in Morganton, GA. Mrs. Nobles was born on Nov.28, 1913 in Gilmer County and lived most of her life in the middle Georgia area. She retired from civil service at Robins Air force Base in 1972 and spent the remainder of her life loving and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty five years, Edward J. Nobles.
Surviving Mrs. Nobles are one son and daughter in law, Ron and Maureen Nobles of Farmerville, LA., one daughter and son in law, Becky and Bob Largent of Perry and also Morganton, GA., three Grandchildren, Perkins Nobles (Christy), Scott Largent(Leslie), and Donna Rivera (Zigyfredo), Eight Great-Grandchildren, Beau, Savannah and Austin Rosner, Oliver and Rebecca Rivera, Taylor and Seth Largent and Christopher Nobles who will miss her, along with many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Curtis Alvin Cooper age 77 of Creekmont Drive Blairsville passed away on Wednesday Jan.25, 2006 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Cooper was born on Oct. 22, 1928 in Evans County, GA., The son of the late John Alvin Cooper and the late Malissa Hendrix Cooper. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local # 613.He was a member of Jessie’s Sunday School Class and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville.
Surviving Mr. Cooper are his loving wife of twelve years, Katie Townsend Cooper of Blairsville, son and daughter in law, Steve and Joyce Cooper of Rome, GA., daughter and son in law, Karen and David Ball of Lafayette, GA., daughter, Lois Sullivan of Woodstock, GA., son and daughter in law, Richard and Ann Sullivan of Blairsville, son, Tim Sullivan of Powder Springs, GA., five sisters and two brother in laws, Jeanette and Bill Walling of Jesup, GA., Edna Hicks of Pineville, LA., Hilda Pittman of Augusta, Alice Waters of Claxton, Nell and Raymond McGlashan of Glennville, GA., seven Grandchildren, six Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Trina Barbieri of Gearing Drive Blairsville passed away on Thursday Jan.26, 2006 in the Murphy Medical center following an extended illness. Mrs. Barbieri was born on Oct. 10, 1920 in Holland, The daughter of the late Henry Hemkes and the late Marget Dykman. She was preceded in death by her husband.Charles Barbieri. Mrs. Barbieri was a member of the Sunlight Community Church.
Surviving Mrs. Barbieri are one sister and brother in law, Isabel and John Sweetman of Homosassa, FL., many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Elizabeth R. Boehringer age 91 of Dogwood Way Blairsville passed away on Monday June 26, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Boehringer was born in Buffalo, NY. on Oct. 21, 1914, The daughter of the late John Zauner and the late Anna Jacob Zauner. She was employed with the Amherst Public School System for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold W. Boehringer, a daughter, Faye Cole, brother, Carl Zauner, sisters, Catherine Becker, Ann Moorehouse, Helen Morath and Rose Zauner.
Surviving Mrs. Boehringer are two sons and daughter in laws, Kenneth and Rebecca Boehringer of Blairsville, Arnold and Barbara Boehringer of CA., four brothers, Joseph Zauner of Bradenton, FL., Ralph Zauner of Grand Island, NY., John Zauner, Raymond Zauner, three sisters, Alice Dill of Kenmore, NY., Mary Jane McMurry of Denver, CO., and Irene Manuel of Lockport, NY, . many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. William Roland Frye age 97 of Wilmire Circle Blairsville passed away on Wednesday June 28, 2006 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Frye was in New York City, NY. On Feb.26, 1009, The son of the late James Frye and the late Maizie Chenet Frye. He was employed as an Administrative Assistant with the New York City Transit System for over forty five years. He was A Veteran of the US Navy of WWII. Mr. Frye was a member of the North GA. Honor Guard, the VFW Post 7394, honorary member of Precinct # 4 Volunteer Fire Dept., Volunteer at a Day Care Center, Volunteer for the Handicapped, and Volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He and his wife, Rose had made their home in Blairsville since 1983.Mr.Frye was a member of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church.
Surviving Mr. Frye are his loving wife of seventy four years, Rose Thiel Frye of Blairsville. two daughters and one son in law, Lorraine Meder of CA., Lesley and Tyler Gray of N.Y., seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Monday July 3, 2006 at 11:30 am from St. Clare’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carter Maddox officiating. iIntermentwill follow in St. Clare’s Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lloyd Julius Jorgenson age 81 went to meet his Savior on Saturday July 1, 2006 from the North East Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Jorgenson was born on June 15, 1925 in EauClaire, WI., The son of the late John Jorgenson and the late Anna Loberg Jorgenson. He lived most of his life in Land O’Lakes, FL. before making his home in Blairsville. He was a devoted child of God, a loyal and loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather. Lloyd was a Veteran of the US Navy of WWII. He drove trucks for several years before opening Jorgenson Truck Sales in Land O’Lakes, FL. Mr. Jorgenson was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Jorgenson are his loving wife of fifty four years, Lois Tripp Jorgenson of Blairsville, three daughters and two son in laws, Nancy and Glenn Beasley of Waynesville, NC., Mary and Bruce Gimson of Land O’Lakes, FL., Sally Bauer of Blairsville, one brother and sister in law, Jerome and Agnus Jorgenson of Trego, WI., six grandchildren, Glenn Beasley Jr., Stacey Vasquez, Eric Gimson, Carla Profitt and Dennis Profitt, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 3, 2006 from the Bethlehem Baptist church with the Rev. Cotton Hedden officiating. Special music will be presented by the Faith Singers. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Bruce Gimson, Eric Gimson, Dennis Profitt, William Franklin, .The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2pm on Monday. iIntermentwill follow in the church cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard conducting Military Honors.

Mrs. Amelia Ruth Barlow age 91 of Crooked Creek Rd. Young Harris passed away on Sunday July 2, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Barlow was born on Nov.30, 1914 in White County, GA., The daughter of the late George Lester Irvin and the late Emma Lee Hooper. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Battle Sr. in 1942 and her second husband, Sidney Barlow in 1997.She had made her home in Young Harris since 1978.Mrs.Barlow was a member of Woods Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Barlow are two sons and daughter in laws, Thomas M. and Ella Jenkins Battle of Blairsville, Robert and Jan Battle of Nashville, GA., one granddaughter, Kristina Licata of Land O’Lakes, FL., many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at 11:00am from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Terrell Jones and Rev. Bill Howell officiating. Mrs. Daniels was born on Aug. 23, 1940 in Knox County, IL., The daughter of the late James Weldon Smith and the late Ruby Joan Thurman Smith. She was employed many years as a child care provider. Mrs. Daniels was a member of the Antioch Baptist church.
