DELLA MAE WARREN
Mrs. Della Mae Warren age 89 of Donahue Rd. Winder, GA. formerly of Blairsville passed away on Saturday April 21, 2007 in the Winder Health Care Center following a brief illness. Mrs.Warren was born on Feb.20, 1918 in Union County, the daughter of the late West Grizzle and the late Flury Harkins Grizzle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Warren in 1991, two infant children, three brothers, Arch, Clifford and Leonard Grizzle, two sisters, Ethel Warren and Ella Lou Cantrell. Mrs. Warren was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Warren are one daughter and son in law, Wylean and Hershel Carder of Winder, one son and daughter in law, Robert and Pat Warren of Winder, three grandchildren, Leigh Cain, Allen Carder and Danny Carder, five great-grandchildren, Shea, Daniel, Allison, Dylan and Kelley Carder and Emma Clair Cain, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Earl Pickelsomer and Rev. Paul Carder officiating. Special music will be presented by Dorothy Pickelsimer. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Paul Warren, J. M. Grizzle, Richard Corn, Burless Pickelsimer, Anthony Warren and Jimmy Pickelsimer. iIntermentwill be held in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

GAIL MARIE WRIGHT
Mrs. Gail Marie Wright age 43 of Cleveland Hwy Blairsville passed away on Sunday April 22, 2007 at her home following a sudden illness. Mrs. Wright was born on Oct. 29, 1963 in Denville, NJ., the daughter of the late Dwight Morrow and Eileen Peer Morrow. She was preceded in death by her father, Dwight Morrow and her step father, Isaac Taylor. Mrs. Wright was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs. Wright are her Fiance’, Robert Howard of Blairsville, mother, Eileen Taylor of Andrews, two daughters and one son in law, Danielle and Richard Reid of Lakeland, FL., Ariel Wright of Lakeland, FL., one son, T. J. Wright of Lakeland, FL., four sisters and three brother in laws, Arlene Owensby of Blairsville, Carol and Willy McCall of Bethlehem, PA., Jackie and Donny Patterson of Blairsville, Melissa and Scott Selby of Andrews, NC., several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends and relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 26, 2006 at 3:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Waymon Lovell officiating. Special music will be Gail’s favorite songs. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12-3pm.

RICHARD LEE HAMPTON
Mr. Richard Lee Hampton age 62 of Mt. Pleasant Church Rd. Blairsville passed away on Tuesday May 1, 2007 in the N. East Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Hampton was born on March 23, 1945 in Cherokee Co., NC., the son of Odith Warren and the late Kenneth Hampton. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. He was the owner and operator of Hampton Well Drilling for more than forty years and along with his son Randy, were the first in the area to do hydro-fracting of wells, which they started in 1985.Richard was very active in the community. His favorite past times were hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scotty Hampton and two brothers, Billy and Walter Hampton. Mr. Hampton was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Hampton are his loving wife of thirty years, Jo Hannah Hampton of Blairsville, mother, Odith Ballew, one son, Randy Hampton, three daughters and two son in laws, Debra Hampton, Rehnee and Cliff Herr, Teresa and Joey Colwell all of Blairsville, three step daughters and son in laws, Telida and Tommy Lovell of Blairsville, Tammy and Mark Robinson of Brewton, AL., Renee’ and Jeff Hanna of Flowery Branch, GA., three brothers and sister in laws, Boyd and Becky Hampton of Conyers, Ken and Carol Hampton of LA., Cecil and Pearl Warren of Andrews, NC., one sister, Pauline Ernest of Douglasville, grandchildren, Brandy and Christopher Hampton, Larry (Trey) and Sandra Law, Jessica and Cliff Herr Jr., Tyler Henderson, Julia Colwell, Jason, Adam and Todd Robinson, Zachary Lovell, Matt and Bethany Hannah, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 3, 2007 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stacy Dyer and Rev. Charles Abernathy officiating. Special music will be presented by Michael Kennedy and Mindy Combs. Dorothy Dean Cox Cady
Dorothy Dean Cox Cady, 58, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Homerville but resided in Waycross most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Edward Cox and Margaret Griffin Cox. She was a homemaker and a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Cady Sr., Waycross; a daughter, Amy Cady, Glennville; a son, the Rev. J. Edward Cady Jr. (wife Tammy), Blackshear; five grandchildren, Haley Cady and Tiffany Cady both of Glennville, Blake Cady, Miriah Cady and Chris Fowler, all of Waycross; a brother Lamar Cox, Waycross; two sisters, Phyllis Thomas and Ardieth Thomas, both of Waycross; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, from the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

Lonnie Ernest Sweat Jr.
Lonnie Ernest Sweat Jr., 87, of Americus, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at the Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany.
A native of Pierce County, he had lived there for most of his life before moving to Americus in 2004. He was a 1937 graduate of Blackshear High School and was a 1941 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a US Air Force veteran having served during World War II and the Korean conflict. He retired from Couklin Timplate & Metal Company after 38 years of service and was a member of the Blackshear First United Methodist Church where he was in the Wesley Fellowship II class. He had also been a very active member of the Blackshear Exchange Club and in 1985 was named the Blackshear Women’s Club Citizen of the Year. He was a son of the later Lonnie E. Sweat Sr. and Agnes Taylor Sweat and was also preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Sweat Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Williams Sweat, Americus; a daughter, Sally Sweat Beuker, Roswell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lonnie E. Sweat III, Tallahassee, FL and Samuel F. and Katy Sweat, Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Sweat, Waycross; seven grandchildren, Samuel Turner Sweat, Aaron Michael Sweat, John Andrew Sweat, Adam Wayne Sweat, Matthew James Sweat, Tucker William Sweat and Becky Beuker and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, from the First United Methodist Church.

Jeffrey Scott Walker
Jeffrey Scott Walker, 35, of Waycross died Tuesday morning, December 5, 2006, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Waycross to Wayne Edward Walker and Lavene Thomas Sweat and had made his home here for most of his life.
He was a brick mason and attended Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Walker, and his grandparents, Ervin J. Thomas, Nelle Faye Knight, Leston Walker and Sadie Faye Skipper.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie Walker, Waycross; his mother, Lavene Sweat and her husband David, Blackshear; his father, Wayne Edward Walker, Waycross; a brother, Travis Cleve White, Waycross; two sisters, Leslie Worth, Blackshear and Tiffany Walker, Brantley County and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, from the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.

Robert M. Burnett
Robert M. Burnett, 69, of Valrico, FL passed away December 5, 2006 in Brandon, FL.
He was born October 18, 1937 in Tampa, FL. He had served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and more recently he worked for TECO Transport and Trade for 13 years. He had been Past Governor, Moose Lodge #2417, Buckhead Ridge, Okeechobee, FL. He especially enjoyed visiting with his family, fishing, “Family” fish fry’s, sports of any kind and reading Louis L’Amour Westerns.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Glenda Burnett; two daughters, Lynn Colicci (husband Rich) and Carol McIntyre (husband Richard); two sons, Thomas Burnett (partner Tammy Mills) and Howard Burnett (wife Ingrid); grandchildren Robert Mason Brewer, Chad McIntyre, Justin Burnett, Shawna McIntyre, Cassie Burnett, Rick Colicci, Zac Brewer, Chelsie Burnett, Kyle Burnett, Kayla McIntyre, Jenna Rose Burnett, Jacob Burnett, all of Florida, one sister, Nancy Carol Reynolds, Georgia; an aunt, Mary Hocutt; two cousins; sisters-in-law Sandy Harmon (husband Frank) and Tommie Smallman; five nephews, three nieces and eleven grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, from the funeral home chapel.
Interment, with military honors, followed at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

James Edward Cady Sr.
James Edward Cady Sr., 61, died Friday, December 8, 2006, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. He was married
to the late Dorothy Dean Cox Cady and was preceded in death by his parents, John Belton Cady and Berdie Wilson Cady.
He was a retired clerk with the CSX Railroad and was a member of the Ware Baptist Church. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America Troup 314 serving as a Scout Master and Webelos Leader, and served on the Round Table Commission. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Diane Cady (husband Walter), Glennville, a son, the Rev. J. Edward Cady Jr. (wife Tammy), Blackshear; five grandchildren, Haley Cady, Tiffany Cady, both of Glennville, Blake Cady, Miriah Cady and Chris Fowler, all of Waycross; a brother Albert Cady, Waycross; a sister, Yvonne Wilkes, Midway and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, from the Ware Baptist Church.

Agnes Lynn Bowen
Agnes Lynn Bowen, 95, passed away late Thursday evening, December 7, 2006, at the Bacon County Hospital in Alma.
A native of Ware County, she had lived in Pierce County for most of her life. She had worked at several different sewing factories in Alma before becoming a full-time housewife along with helping on the family farm. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she had served as treasurer for many years and had also been in the Senior Adult Sunday School class. She was a daughter of the late Winston Franklin and Sallie Johnson Lynn and was also preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Grooms Bowen, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include a son, Winston Bowen, Alma; a sister, Darcille Walker, Waycross and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, from the Beulah Baptist Church.

Kaley Alexis Hutto
Kaley Alexis Hutto, 11, of Aiken, SC, passed away Friday, December 8, 2006 at Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC.
She was a student at Kennedy Middle School and a member of Cedar Creek Church. She was a member of the East Aiken Chargers Football and Competition Cheerleading Team and the Carolina Dance Studio.
Survivors include her parents, Michael Todd Hutto and Gina Lynn Popham Hutto; her sisters, Brooke, Maci and Jodi Hutto; her maternal grandparents, Jake and Vera Popham, Blackshear; her paternal grandparents, Betty Padgett, Aiken, Jack and Dorothy Hutto, Aiken; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, from the Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC, with the Rev. Richard Swift officiating. iIntermentwill be private in Southlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Hutto, Nick Hutto, Charles Taylor, Mark Popham, Joey Popham and Dave Flanders.
