Priscilla Mullens Lindgren passed away on February 13, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Creating a warm and nurturing home for her family was her life calling and her greatest joy. Born February 23, 1926, in Orlando, FL, Priscilla was the daughter of Ralph Mullens and Jeanette O. Smith, one of the first female law professors at University of Miami, and the granddaughter of Dr. John C. and Martha Gifford, pioneers in the field of forestry for whom the Gifford Arboretum at UM is named. A graduate of Miami Senior High School, and president of the Pyramid Sorority, Priscilla attended University of Miami, where she was a member of Chi Omega fraternity. Married for 54 years to Carl (“Bud”) Lindgren, a member of the pioneer Lindgren family of Redlands, they spent most of their time in Miami, where he was a pilot for National Airlines and she was a devoted fan of her children’s various athletic and extracurricular activities. Following Bud’s retirement, they moved to Vero Beach. Priscilla is survived by two sons, Carl Lindgren, III (Karen) and John Lindgren (Kim) of Atlanta, and daughter, Christina Lauth of Vero Beach, as well as 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Kipp Price, and two brothers, Jay Smith and Todd Smith. Scott Allen Collins, 46, of South Point, passed away Thursday (February 10, 2011) at his residence. The Ironton, Ohio native was born October 7, 1964, the son of the late Charles Jackson Jr. and Nellie Dhonau Collins. He is survived by his wife, Laura Hart Collins. Scott was a graduate of South Point High School and Collins Career Center. He was self employed. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: a son: Mitchell Allen Collins. Mrs. Elizabeth Wingate Nunn, age 94, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel T. “Sam” Nunn; and son-in-law, Carroll Logan Mozingo. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Nunn Mozingo, Palm Coast, FL; grandsons, Rick and Charlene Puckett, Hiram, GA, Rory and Gertie Puckett, Dawsonville, GA and Matthew and Dawn Brooks, Palm Coast, FL; great-grandchildren, Joshua Puckett, Dahlonega, GA, Jessica Ashley and Ashley Fortner, Dahlonega, GA; Brittany Puckett, Sanford, FL, Amber Puckett, Hiram, GA and Skyla Puckett, Hiram, GA; two great-great-grandchildren, Chloe Fortner and Cassidy Fortner. Mrs. Nunn was born April 24, 1916 in Atlanta, GA and she resided at her home on Lake Lanier in Buford, GA. She was a 1934 graduate of Atlanta Girls High School in Atlanta, GA. She was a retired property manager for Julian LeCraw Company in Atlanta, GA. She was an honorary member of the Buford Women’s Club where she recently received an award for being a member for over twenty years and a founding member. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Atlanta for over eighty years. Mrs. Carol Jacobs Gound, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Glenn Gound, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Anita Gound, Lilburn, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Joe Ahmad, Flowery Branch, GA and Lynn and Chris Hahn, McAllen, TX; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Cosner, Georgetown, TX. Mrs. Gound was born February 2, 1927 in Redford, MI. She was a 1944 graduate of Burbanks High School in San Antonio, TX. He was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX and a member of the Sweet Adeline’s Singing Group. Before moving to Buford, GA, she was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Duluth where she taught the Sunbeams Sunday School Class. Bette N. Ramsey - May 13th, 1947 - January 29th, 2011 Bette loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend left footprints on everyone's heart that she met, be it as a para-pro at Buford Elementary School or a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Bette's interior designs in Florida and Georgia were uniquely "Bette". Bette personified Jesus' commandment "Love one another as I have loved you". Bette retired to out Lord January 29th, 2011, Cape Coral, Florida formally of Buford, Georgia. Bette is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Phocian D. Ramsey, III, son Phocian "Bo" D. Ramsey, IV, daughter Ashlie "Nitya" D. Ramsey, son Joseph "Joey" N. Ramsey (Whitney), grandson Joseph "Tucker" Ramsey, of Cleveland, Georgia, brother Joseph Niolon (Susan) of Alpharetta, Georgia, sister-in-law Marilyn Tucker (Leroy) of Marietta, Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews.
