Wilma Dianne Moore Adams, age 59, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Adams, Eatonton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan C. Talley Jr. and Allison Tally, Suwanee, GA and David and Jennifer Adams, Fayetteville, GA; seven grandchildren; father, W.T. and Nana Moore, Suwanee, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Moore, Suwanee, GA and Jerry and Lori Moore, Suwanee, GA; two nieces; and two nephews. Ms. Adams was born June 30, 1951 in Atlanta, GA. She received her education from Towers High School in Decatur, GA. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Mr. Clay Taylor, age 74, of Gillsville, GA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Phillips Taylor; and daughter, Donna Lorie Green Taylor. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Taylor, Flowery Branch, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Teresa Taylor, Gillsville, GA, Mark and Melissa Taylor, Clermont, GA, Rev. Allen and Melina Taylor, Buford, GA and Larry and Linda Taylor, Hoschton, GA; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Taylor, North Carolina, Lorene Phillips Eatonton, GA and Bessie Gamble, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Taylor was born June 7, 1936 in Robbinsville, NC. He was retired from Lucent Technology in Norcross, GA. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. George A. Miller, age 82, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lee Miller; and his beloved friend, Winnie Thornhill Ennis. He is survived by his daughter, Lori A. Doran, Buford, GA; grandson, Tyler Shipman; sister, Adell J. Mearkie, Bend, OR; former son-in-law, John Shipman, Buford, GA; extended family, The Buford Wolves Football Team, The Pilino Family, Ralph Mullinax Family, Mary and Edwin Floyd Family; and his Zion Hill Baptist Church Family. Mr. Miller was born October 28, 1928 in Gilmore City, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was retired from Riverside Water Dept. in Riverside, CA. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching his grandson play football. He also enjoyed eating at Georgia Diner and having Missy as his favorite waitress and at Buford Hardee’s. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Newbern officiating. Mr. Toy D. Johnson, age 75, of Cumming, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mozelle Stone Johnson; and sisters, Lennie Davis and Joy Harris. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Jeanette Cole Johnson, Cumming, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and George Tallant, Dawsonville, GA and Barbara and Ricky Sanders, Sugar Hill, GA; son, Larry Johnson, Cumming, GA; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Johnny Bagwell, Cumming, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Linda Stewart Johnson, Hoschton, GA and Harry and Betty Cole Johnson, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Thomas Wilson, age 78, of Sugar Hill passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was born April 22, 1933 in Martin, GA. After growing up in Toccoa, GA, he relocated to Atlanta to pursue his career of barbering. Mr. Wilson’s barber shop was a long time fixture to the Buckhead area. The Buckhead Business Association honored “Tommy” for over 50 years of faithful service to the community in 2003. Known for his quick wit and his kind heart, he was sure to always bring a smile to any who crossed his path. He was a man of deep faith and devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ramona Wilson, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Charles Cross, Jr., Sugar Hill, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Pamela Wilson, Longwood, FL; six grandchildren, John and (Natalie) Otting, Justin and (Laura) Otting, Jered and (Blair) Otting, Jordan Otting, Danielle Wilson, and Cory Wilson; great-grandson, Jackson Otting; and one great-granddaughter due any day. Surviving siblings are Charles Wilson, Thomasville, NC, Wilma Jean Rice, Toccoa, GA and Gail Jamison of Eastanolle, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Flora Wilson and sister, Maxine Guidry. Thomas was a mason and member of Chamblee Masonic Lodge and a member of the Sugar Hill Baptist Church. Ronald K. Turner born March 8, 1941 in Greenville, SC. Ron died Saturday, April 23, 2011 after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. He was a member of Laurens Methodist Church in Greenville since September 24, 1950. Ron was preceded in death by first wife Sandra Smith Turner, Parents James and Ruth Turner, brother Jerald and sister Barbara. He is survived by wife Dianne Bowman Turner, daughter Rhonda and son-in-law, David King. Stepdaughter Deanna Teel and son-in-law Gordon. Grandchildren Tony and Cody King, step grandchildren Julia Bernier and Gordy Teel III, brothers Bill Turner (Bertha) and Pat Turner (Theresa). He moved to Atlanta in 1960 and worked for the City of Atlanta until he retired in 1981. Starting as a driver Ron worked his way up through the ranks to managing the office. It took five people to replace him when he retired. Ron started his own business – Waste Co. Inc. in 1981 and retired in 1990, he then started Atlanta Equipment and retired in 2000. Ron was a member of the Air Force Reserves from Nov. 1958 to August 1968 earning the Grade of E-5. During his active duty he traveled to various locations including Berlin Crisis (1961) and Juan Pablo Crisis (1968). He was a volunteer for the Roswell Fire Dept. for 25 years (1962 – 1987). He belonged to Roswell Masonic Lodge 165 since 1965. We would like to thank Dr. Ravi Sarma and Suburban Hematology in Snellville for the excellent care given to Ron during his illness, and to the many family members and friends for their prayers and kindnesses shown to us. Mr. Pruett was born June 27, 1956 in Memphis, TN. He was owner of Rick Pruett's VIP Auto Care in Flowery Branch, GA. He was involved in the Arts Council in Gainesville, GA. He was a former Rotarian in the Buford Rotary Club. He was a very talented musician with the Pruett Davis Group and P.d.Q. Group. He was a published writer. He was a member of the Buford Presbyterian Church in Buford, GA.
