Mrs. Stella Poole Bennett, age 83 of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bennett. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Martha and Roosevelt Cunningham, Buford, GA, Betty Sadler, Buford, GA, Annie Poole, Buford, GA, Daisy Poole, Buford, GA and Hazel Poole, Buford, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Wilma Poole, Buford, GA and Robert Poole, Buford, GA; step children, Juke Bennett, Liz Bennett Stephens, Carl Bennett, Dorothy Bennett Earl, Lula Bell Bennett Harris, and Robert Bennett; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Bennett was born December 25, 1927 in Americus, GA. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Gloria W. McLendon, 87, died July 5, 2011 in her home in Atlanta, GA. Gloria was the daughter of James and Rosa Williams of Clanton, AL. She was a member of the Cloverdale Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked for the State of AL and after that was an international sales trainer for a large cosmetic company. After she retired she pursued her passion of creating and exhibiting her egg artistry all over the country. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred T. McLendon and survived by her two daughters, Marsha Griffin of Atlanta, GA and Rosalyn Griffin of Decatur, Georgia. She was a favorite of many nieces and nephews who knew and loved her as their “Aunt Tootsie”. Mr. John Louis Bullock, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Fannie Lou O’Rouke Bullock. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Sue Ann Bullock, Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and William Fields, Suwanee, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Gudrun Bullock, Providence Forge, VA; grandchildren, Kyle James Bullock and James Michael Fields; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Eugene Wall, Buford, GA; and several cousins. Mr. Bullock was born April 7, 1927 in Detroit, MI. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of Buford First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Rev. Sondra R. Jones officiating. Mrs. Alice Braddock, age 96, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Griffin Braddock. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Angela Betters, Sugar Hill, GA and Barbara and Edward Saxon, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Tracy Vinson and Jimmy Saxon; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Vinson and Maggie Vinson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Braddock was born November 13, 1914 in Norman Park, GA. She was retired from Thompson Publishing Company. She was the oldest member of New Prospect United Methodist Church in Buford, GA. Mr. Frank C. Pasquino, age 65, of Hoschton, GA passed away with family by his side on Monday, July 4, 2011. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Barbara Pasquino, Hoschton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Anthony Lombardozzi, Flanders, NJ; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kristen Pasquino, Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Nicolas Lombardozzi and Michael Lombardozzi; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Pasquino was born August 31, 1945 in New York City, NY. He was retired as CFO from Roche Carolina after thirty-seven years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, softball and target shooting. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. A private service will be held in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Father Patrick Scully officiating. Mr. Hans “Hank” Bauer, age 87, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Lelo Walter Bauer. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Ray Hanson, Jefferson, GA and Lee and Phillip Perkins, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Annelle Bauer, Katy, TX; granddaughter, Kathleen Perkins, Buford, GA; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ursula and Victor Virgens, Melbourne, FL. Mr. Bauer was born October 14, 1923 in Karlsrule Germany. He was a graduate of New York City College receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a retired chemical engineer from Bird Machine Co. in Boston, MA with over twenty years of service. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Mrs. Ella Graham Leaphart, age 88, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Leaphart; grandson, Dennis Hugh Franklin; parents, William Marion Graham and Linda Roach Graham; four sisters; and one brother. Mrs. Leaphart was born November 21, 1922 in Hillsboro, NC. She was a graduate of LaGrange College with an Associate’s Degree and attended Business School in Atlanta, GA. After graduation she moved to Atlanta, GA. She was a legal secretary for the National Land Company, worked as the banquet manager for the Dinkler Plaza Hotel and also worked as a secretary for the Old American Hotel. She was a retired secretary in Medical Research at Emory Hospital for ten years and also retired from American Heart Association after twenty-two years of service. Graduate of Woodward Academy and Georgia State University. President of Bragg Associates for over 30 years. Mr. Carroll was born October 2, 1928 in Fairfield, IA. He was a May 1956 graduate of West Illinois State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War and received a Bronze Star. He was a retired engineer from Johnson Higgins Insurance Company in Atlanta, GA. Mr. John C. Moore, age 92, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Robbie Moore and Ronnie Moore; parents, Robert Earl and Delana Johnson Moore; and ten siblings. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bagwell Moore, Suwanee, GA; son, Dan Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Moore Stallings and husband, Ed Stallings, Suwanee, GA; sister, Inez Cash, Houston, TX; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha Sue and George Conley, Buford, GA and Judy Scroggs, Buford, GA. Mr. Moore was born March 9, 1919 in Bowdon, GA. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army having fought on D Day and the Battle of the Bulge and he was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He was a retired driver from Greyhound Bus Lines and also worked at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. He was a member of Buford Presbyterian Church in Buford, GA.
