Cora Curles Burnum

Cora Curles Burnum, 79, of Cotton, died Tuesday, March 02, 2010 at Sunrise Health Care
in Moultrie.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with
iIntermentin Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Rev. Larry Wynn and Ronnie Morrell will officiate.

Pallbearers include Anthony Burnum, Patrick Cooper, Richard Dixon, Jonathan Barrentine,
Clay Barrentine, and Matthew Barrentine.

Born December 1, 1930 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Burnum was the daughter of the late Jim
and Nellie Mae Evans Curles and was married to the late Dewain Burnum. She was a
retired seamstress and was a member of Lake Pleasant Baptist Church. Mrs. Burnum was
a graduate of Pelham High School.

Survivors include two daughters, Nita Dixon & husband, Kenneth, of Moultrie and Dell
Burnum of Pelham; one son, Dewey Burnum & wife, Beverly, of Pelham; one sister,
Helen Harrison of Cotton; two brothers, Bo Curles & wife, Dorothy, of Cotton and Joe
Curles & wife, Rita, of Camilla; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home
in Camilla.

Memorials may be made to Lake Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Helen Harrison,
3407 John Collins Rd., Pelham, GA 31779.

Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Larry Gene Collins, Sr.

Larry Gene Collins, Sr., 57, of Baconton died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Phoebe Putney
Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Collins’ wishes were for his remains to be cremated and no other services to be held.

Born April 17, 1952 in Mitchell County, Mr. Collins was an Army veteran and member of
Baconton Baptist Church. He worked as a hydraulic mechanic for Skyline Equipment Co.
for the past 30 years; served as former chief of the Baconton Fire Department and was the
Boy Scout leader in Baconton. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his parents, Larrabee
and Margery Pafford Collins.

Mr. Collins was survived by his wife, Janelle Bates Collins of Baconton; a son, Larry Gene
Collins, Jr. of Baconton; a daughter, Shirley Jean Adams and husband, James, of Poulan;
two brothers, Jerry Collins of Leesburg and Donald Lee Collins of Baconton; sisters, Beverly
Collins Taylor and Connie Collins; grandchildren, Crysta Nicole Botdorf, Lance Mitchell
Botdorf, Larry James Adams, Tyler Lawrence Collins, and Ethan Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Mitchell County Fire Department,
% Bobby Beck, P.O. Box 102, Baconton, Ga. 31716.

Dorothy Cruse McMillan

Dorothy C. McMillan, 90, of Thomasville, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Brian Center of
Thomasville.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19 at Pelham City Cemetery
with Rev. David Pickering officiating.

Born December 20, 1919 in Atlanta, Mrs. McMillan was the daughter of the late Nolan and
Annie Hamilton Cruse. She married the love of her life, Roy Ellis McMillan on January 3,
1957. They moved to Meigs in 1969. She was a member of Ochlocknee Freewill Baptist
Church and after her husband died, she became a member of Meigs Baptist Church, where
she was a devoted member for 32 years. She loved Jesus with all her heart and read her
bible daily. Grandchildren were a big part of her life, as were her daughters who live in Meigs.
Mrs. McMillan was a loving wife, mother, and Nanny. Mrs. McMillan was a survivor of
cancer for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ellis McMillan;
a brother, Junior Cruse; and a sister, Hazel Waldrip.

Survivors include one son, Donald Rogers & wife, Linda, of Austell; five daughters, Judy
Horton & husband, Robert, of Meigs, Barbara McMillan of Meigs, Kathy Carithers &
husband, Rick, of Evans, Terri Payne & husband, Wayne, of Bonaire, Jacki McMillan
of Warner Robins; two sisters, Ann Blankenship of Monticello and Willie Norton &
husband, Grady, of Denver, N.C.; grandchildren, Deborah Carter & husband, Daryl,
Jennifer Clark & husband, Buster, Ellis White & wife, Kerri, Dakota Nunn, Laurie Ann
Ferguson & husband, Travis, Billy Laseter & Kesha Foster, Tammy Hardin & husband,
Kelly, Wendy Laseter; great grandchildren, Caleb Bertsch, Sophi White, Sydney White,
Drew Carter, Blake Carter, Kael Crews, Zack Inglett, Noah Ragland, Presley Dillard,
Reece Ferguson, Payton Laseter; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in
Camilla.

Memorials may be made to Meigs Baptist Church, Meigs, GA 31765.

Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Duncan

Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Duncan, 86, of Baconton, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with
iIntermentin the church cemetery. Rev. Tom Newman will officiate.

Active pallbearers will include Ricky Duncan, Donnie Duncan, Marty Hiers, Rodney Hiers,
Kenny Williams, and John Knowles. Honorary pallbearers will include Rick Faircloth, Tim
Barnes, Nelson Burnett, Jr., Nelson Burnett, Sr., Dallas McDuffy, and Rodney Doss.

Born October 16, 1923 in Thomas County, Mr. Duncan was the son of the late Joshua
Alfred and Viola Cheek Duncan. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Duncan; a
daughter-in-law, Judy Duncan; a grandson, Tyler Duncan; and four brothers and two
sisters. Mr. Duncan was a retired dairyman and livestock manager. He was a member of
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and as Sunday School Director f
or over 40 years. He also served as long-time caretaker of Pleasant Hill Church cemetery
and church grounds.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alene Garnto Duncan of Baconton; a daughter,
Muriel Cox & husband, Cary, of Baconton; a son, Graylin Duncan & wife, Robin, of Camilla;
two sisters, Mary Hiers & husband, Hayward, of Berlin and Sadie Thompson of Thomasville;
three grandchildren, Joshua Duncan of Duluth, John Cox & wife, Loree, of Sumner, Ruben
Smith & wife, Debbie, of Fayetteville; three great grandchildren, Lauren Cox, Jordan Cox,
Rebecca Smith.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, one hour prior to services, at the church.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery Fund,
7053 GA Hwy 112, Camilla, GA 31730 or the charity of your choice.

Patricia M. McDaniel

Patricia M. McDaniel, 82, of Lester, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her residence.

Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at Pebble City Baptist Church.
Rev. Brad Royal will officiate.

Pallbearers will be the nephews, Ben VanMeter, David VanMeter, Richard Dingler, Michael
Tomberlin, Tommy Tomberlin, Patrick McDaniel, and Mark McDaniel.

Born November 11, 1927 in Liverpool, England, Mrs. McDaniel was the daughter of the late
James and Dorothy Hughes Milvenan and was married to the late Bob C. McDaniel. She
was a homemaker and a member of Pebble City Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel was a
volunteer for the Mitchell Co. Red Cross, a member of the Camilla Pilot Club, and the
Camilla Garden Club.

Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Sue VanMeter & husband, Carl, of Lester, Paula
Childers of Camilla, and Claudia McDaniel of Albany; a brother-in-law, Andy McDaniel &
wife, L’Amiel, of Cotton; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews;
and a special family friend, Dan Peterson, exchange student from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Memorials may be made to Pebble City Baptist Church, c/o Kent Grogan,
5664 Pebble City Rd., Sale City, GA 31784 or Albany Community Hospice, 2332 Lake
Park Dr., Albany, GA 31707.
