Myrtice Lee Busbin McGee, 73, of Blackshear, formerly of Baconton, died Tuesday,
September 07, 2010 at Bacon County Hospital in Alma.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral
Home with interment in Pebble City Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ion Johns will officiate.
Active pallbearers include Derick Bloodworth, James McGee, William Bloodworth, Allen
Turner, Patrick Burke, and Joe Burke. Ryan Gardner will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Born January 9, 1937 in Tift County, Mrs. McGee was the daughter of the late Robert Lee
and Polly Dowdy Busbin. She was married
to the late William Edward McGee.
Mrs. McGee had worked for Flint River Cotton Mill and was a member of Grace
Community Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianna L. M. Gay of Blackshear and Joyce Darlene Burke
& husband, Joe, of Albany; one son, James E. McGee & wife, Dorothy, of Pellston,
Michigan; three sisters, Inez Israel of Jackson, Peggy Busbin of Ocilla, and Patricia Busbin
of Ocilla; two brothers, Buddy Busbin of Tifton and Bill Busbin of Tifton; eight grandchildren
and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m., Thursday, one hour prior to services, at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.

Colon D. Herrington, 68, well known businessman of Camilla, died Saturday, April 9, 2011
in Mitchell County.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at First Baptist Church of
Camilla with Rev. Rick Williams and Rev. Danny Thomas officiating.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are the Camilla Masonic Lodge 128, Ferg Cowan Sunday
School Class, Bank of Camilla Coffee Club and former personnel of B. C. Moore’s and
Peeble’s Department Store.
Born Dec. 24, 1942 in Baxley, Ga. to the late Dewitt and Marnella McKenzie Herrington,
Mr. Herrington was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. He was manager of
B.C. Moore’s and Peeble’s of Camilla for 42 years. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Camilla and the Camilla Masonic Lodge 128. Mr. Herrington was a loving
husband, father and grandfather and known to be hardworking and meticulous.. He was
also an avid sportsman and gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Brewer Herrington of Camilla; daughters, Tracy Block
(Chip) of Leesburg, GA. and Cindy Herrington; a son, Doug Herrington of Carrollton, GA.;
step-daughters, Charlotte Turley (Steve) of Camilla, Beth Rix (Brian) of Crestview, FL,
and Gina Poole (Scott) of Evans, GA.; brothers, Talmadge Herrington of Tybee, GA.,
Russell Herrington, Roy Herrington, Johnny Herrington and Bobby Herrington, all of Baxley,
GA.; sister, Eula Mae Butler of Savannah, GA.; grandchildren, Josh Herrington (Leigh),
Daylen, Trip, Justin, Abigail, Danielle, Brandon, Johnathan, Brooke Pollock (Phillip), Brewer
Turley and Brian Turley, Josh Rix, Katie Rix, Michael Rix, Robert Poole, Andrew Poole,
Suzannah Poole, David Poole; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.

Leroy Lewis
Leroy Lewis, 69, of Sale City, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Lumpkin, Ga.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla with interment in Sale City Cemetery. Rev. Tim
Bozeman will officiate.
Active pallbearers include John Wayne Royal, Michael Hurst, Ronnie Sadler,
Carey Butler, Randall Humphries, and Chris Humphries. Honorary
pallbearers will be Joe C. Rogers, Billy Rogers, and Robert King.
Born June 26, 1941 in Dougherty County, GA, Mr. Lewis was the son of the
late Roy Yance and Agnes Louise Rogers Lewis. He was preceded in death by
a brother, Gordon Allen Lewis. Mr. Lewis was retired from the U. S. Army
after 20 years of service. He was also retired from Law Enforcement. Mr.
Lewis was a member of Sale City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Lewis of Sale City; one son, Dale Wright
of Pelham; one brothers, Roger Lewis of Lumpkin; three grandchildren,
Jada, Tyler, and Ethan.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, May 27 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.

Clydie Mae Hutto, 92, of Pelham, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Mitchell County
Hospital in Camilla.

Born December 4, 1917 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Hutto was the daughter of the late Will and
Ula Glover Bettison. She was married
to the late Lawrence Hutto. Mrs. Hutto was a
homemaker and retired seamstress. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Nell Hutto Heard.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Edward Hutto & wife, Beverly, of Daytona Beach, FL
and Rex Hutto & wife, Shirley, of Camilla; 7 grandchildren, Johnny, Melonie, Rhonda,
Tammy, Glenn, Kay, and Missy; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren.

John Douglas Sullivan, 61, of Camilla died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 at his residence.

Born July 22, 1949 in Mitchell County, Mr. Sullivan was a graduate of Mitchell County High
School and Valdosta State College. Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Camilla First Baptist
Church and was a farmer and a former Congressional Aide. He was the son of the late John
Nelson Sullivan.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ruby Rigsby Sullivan and numerous cousins.

Bobby Wayne Heard
Bobby Wayne Heard, 73, of Newton, died Thursday, February 16, 2011 at Palmyra
Medical Centers in Albany.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home
with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Rev. Robert Lewis will officiate.
Pallbearers will include Chad Heard, L. G. “Bo” Herndon, Lance Heard, Gary Heard, Jr.,
Jerry Heard, Ritchie Jones, Johnny Rentz, Brandon Smith, Charles Parker, Jr, Michael
Middleton, Marlin Gibson, and Wig Geer.
Born March 2, 1937 in Baker County, Mr. Heard was the son of the late Silas Francis and
Charlie Mae Powell Heard. He was a lifelong farmer in Baker County and attended Mt.
Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Heard was known as a kind and gentle man who loved his family
and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, R. L. Heard, Gary Heard, Jack Heard,
Kathleen Heard Fisk, and Earlene Heard Rentz.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Everson Heard of Newton; two sons, Chris Heard and
wife, Carla, of Newton and Tim Heard and wife, Becky, of Newton; one daughter, Wendy
Heard of Newton; two brothers, Frank Heard, Jr. of Colquitt and Joe Heard of Newton;
one sister, Verna Herndon of Lyons; three grandchildren, Brian Heard, Jenni Howard &
husband, Jeffrey, and Sabrina Presley & husband, Jesse; four great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, February 18 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in
