John High, 66, of Albany died Monday, April 18, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22 at Parker Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla. Robert Davidson will officiate.
Born July 10, 1944 in Mitchell County, Mr. High was the son of James
Grady and Mary Lou High. He attended Sale City High School and was
a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene High of Albany; a son, Joe High of
Albany; a daughter, Tina Peterson of Albany; a sister, Pearl Parker; two
brothers, Jack High and Tony High; two half-sisters, Susan Clark and
Marsha Jackson; two half-brothers, Robert Davidson, Roger Davidson
and Mahlon Davidson; and grandchildren, Amy, Heather, J.R. and
DeeDee.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 21 at Parker Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.

Opal Butler Hatcher
Opal Butler Hatcher, 80, passed away June 11, 2011 at her
daughter’s residence in Albany.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2011 at
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Spring Hill
Freewill Church cemetery. Rev. Ron Ross and Rev. Ronald
Barrett will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Hatcher, Artie Butler,
Kenneth Donaldson, W.J. Hatcher, Bryan Wynn and Jade
Magelund. Hononary pallbearers will be Truitt Wingate,
Earnestine Carr, Glenn Etheredge, Shelton Donaldson and
Danny Crosby.
Born in Mitchell County, Mrs. Hatcher was the daughter of
the late Arkansas Butler and Verma Lee Harvey Butler. She
was a resident of Mitchell County, a homemaker and farmer.
Mrs. Hatcher was a member of Spring Hill Freewill Baptist
Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy
Hatcher and brothers, Arkansas “Jr.” Butler and Marvin Butler.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hatcher Holley of Albany;
one granddaughter, Casey Pickelsimer and husband, Shane of
Albany; three sisters, Sue Donaldson and husband, Shelton of
Cairo, Josie Crosby of Pelham and Marie Mulford of Albany.
Visitation will be 1:00 -2:00 p.m. prior to the services, Sunday,
June 13, 2011 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.

John Cary Gaines, 54, of Newton, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at his
residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21 at Live Oak
Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev.

Born June 9, 1958 in Mitchell County, Mr. Gaines was the son of the
late J. W. Gaines. He was a farmer for 35 years and served as County
Commissioner of Baker County for 4 years.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Cooper Gaines of Baker County;
one son, John Gaines, Jr. and wife, Tiffany, of Baker County; one
daughter, Nancy Gaines of Baker County; one grandson, Bryce Keith
Clenney; his mother, Doris Ethredge Gaines of Baker County; two
sisters, Kay Kelley and husband, Steven, of Baker County and Patty
Dowdy and husband, Ricky, of Baker County; and several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, January 20 at Parker-
Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.

Born April 18, 1935 in Brooks Co., Mrs. Stillwell was a homemaker and member of
Ochlocknee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Stillwell
and was the daughter of the late C. H. and Kathrine Strickland Brice.
Survivors include daughters, Grace C. Phillips and husband, David, and Franci C. Crosby
and husband, Ralph Jones, both of Thomasville; sons, Thomas G. Carter of Albany and
Stephen Richards of Ochlocknee, eight grandchildren, Tammy Holland, Donna Bush, Christie
Burger, David Glenn Phillips, Amy Harnevious, Joseph Simpson, Derick Carter and Nicholas
Carter and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mary Nell Wilder Pollock
Mary Nell Wilder Pollock, 95, of Camilla, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at
Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26 at Delwood Baptist
Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Andy Hall and Rev. Doug
Hall will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Treaver Lee Pollock, Henry Anderson, Jeremy Hatcher, Ronnie
Mock, Danny Highfill, Tim VanZant, Chris Smith, Kris Stancil, and Zane Harrell.
Born April 19, 1915 in Grady County, Mrs. Pollock was the daughter of the late
Jimmy and Rena Coble Wilder. She was married
to the late Judson Pollock.
Mrs. Pollock was a homemaker and a member of Delwood Baptist Church. She
was preceded in death by a grandson, Greg Singleton; four sisters, Loye Mae
Adams, Lillian W. Maxwell, Lydia W. Morrison, and Sarah Wilder; and two
brothers, James Wilder and Lynwood Wilder.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Foister and husband, J. E., of Camilla and
Ogle Annett and husband, Ed, of Terrace Park, Ohio; two sons, Treaver Pollock
and wife, Dianne, of Camilla and Jimmy Pollock and wife, Joy Lynne, of Camilla;
two sisters, Waver W. Joiner of Albany and Annie W. Blakley of Pelham; ten
grandchildren, Treaver Lee Pollock, Ginger P. Mock, Jud Pollock, Allison Stancil,
Mauri Smith, Henry Anderson, Machelle VanZant, Selena Highfill, Ted Annett,
and Tim Annett; ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Born December 25, 1927 in Dougherty County, Mrs. Hendricks was the daughter of the
late William and Gertrude Oliver Jones. She was married
to the late Jesse William “Bill”
Hendricks, Sr. Mrs. Hendricks graduated from Perry Business School. She worked for
the Baker County Dept. of Family & Children Services for 38 years and was a member
of Newton Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Trudy Hendricks Coker & husband, Gary, of Newton;
three sons, Jesse William Hendricks, Jr. & wife, Judy, of Newton, James Elliott “Jim”
Hendricks & wife, Cheryl, of Sylvester, and John Mark Hendricks & wife, Angel, of
Newton; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Jones of Newton and Alise Drennon of Newton;
eight grandchildren, Heather Hendricks Lanier, Amy Hendricks Dodgen, Steven
Hendricks, Justin Hendricks, John Mark Hendricks, Jr., Leyna Hendricks, Ryan Coker,
