Carol Jean Richey Ginnity age 64 of Eagle River, Alaska passed away Tuesday October 9th, 2007. A Memorial Mass will be 11 AM Friday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Peter Rau officiating.

Mr. Ralph William Moore
October 1, 1931 – March 24, 2008
Mr. Ralph William Moore, 76, of Dahlonega died Monday March 24, 2008 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born in Polk County, Georgia and coming from Bartow County Mr. Moore lived in the Dahlonega and Dawsonville area for twenty years. He worked in the automotive industry and was retired from the General Motors assembly plant in Doraville, Georgia. Mr. Moore attended Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church in Dawsonville. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Moore.
Surviving are his wife Eunice Woody Moore, Dahlonega, sons and daughter in law Dennis and Delores Moore, Anderson, VA, Stanley Moore, Interlachen, FL, daughters and sons in law Marla and Jerry Ray, Dawsonville, Shirley and Ralph Chastain, Dahlonega, Janie and Roger Ingram, Dahlonega, Brothers Lewis Moore, Lindale, GA, James Moore, Alvin Moore and Calvin Moore, Rockmart, GA, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday March27, 2008 at 2:00 o’clock at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Payne and Rev. Carrel Pruitt will officiate. iIntermentwill follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Franklin D. Martin, age 76 a native and life long resident of Forsyth County, passed away October 14, 2007. Mr. Martin was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was also a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida Mae Martin.
Survivors include his Children, Lee Roy Martin, Darryl Martin, Angela Ivey, Mary Cogliano, and Larry Tallant; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother L. T. Martin; sisters Inez Bottoms, Sara Sewell, Mary Myers and Jane Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Maurice McDowell Paxton
Mr. Maurice McDowell Paxton, age 82, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Mr. Paxton was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jan Paxton Boehm.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia P. Paxton, son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Judie Paxton, son-in-law, Walter Boehm, all of Cumming; a sister, Helen Moss of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Christopher Paxton of Cumming, Jason Paxton of Apex, NC, Leslie Paxton and Lorie and Jeff Moran, all of Cumming, and Todd and Tina Cox of Texas; great grandchildren, Briana, Kaitlyn and Ethan Paxton, Sean and Emily Moran and Taylor and Tyler Cox. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mike Alan Tolsdorf completed this part of his journey on September 30, 2007. Mike age 48 is survived by his parents, Bob and Dorothy Tolsdorf, of Osage, Iowa, his brother, Tony Tolsdorf, of Portland, Oregon, and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his younger sister, Mary Tolsdorf.
Mike was a loyal employee of ZF Industries and a faithful servant at Chicopee UMC in Gainesville. He was a passionate racing fan and enjoyed piloting small aircraft. Mike was a true example of grace and love to all those who had the honor of knowing him.

Mr. Milton John (Mickey) Morgan, age 74 of Dawsonville passed away Monday, September 24, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife Carole Diane Morgan.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law Mark Jeffery and Kim Morgan of Cumming, Steven David Morgan of Kennesaw; daughter Susan Patricia Cooper of Dawsonville; grandchildren Phillip Emory and Chance Cooper of Dawsonville, Christine, Brian and Allie Morgan of Kennesaw, Matthew John Morgan of Cumming; and sister Judith Wilson of Studio City, CA. Several other relatives also survive.

Mr. H. C. Williams, age 86, of Cumming, GA passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007. He was a life long member of Corinth Baptist Church and retired from Lockheed after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by son, Norris Williams, grandson, Allen Williams and granddaughters, Ann Williams and Heather R. Williams.
Survivors include wife of 68 years, Nellie Williams; children, Morris and Sandra Williams, Mary Ruth and Olen Castleberry, Kenneth and Deborah Williams, and Ricky and Chris Williams all of Cumming, GA; 10 grand children; nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Jane Hope, age 73 of Cumming, passed away September 24, 2007.

Mrs. June Irvin Murrans age 84 of Cumming formerly of Dunwoody passed away Saturday March 29, 2008. Mrs. Murrans was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. She served as an Elder and a member of the church choir; she also was President of the Women of the Church. She had a passion for Tennis and Golf, and was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Survivors Include her husband of 60 years, Mr. Leonard Murrans, three daughters, Susie Duke of Cumming, Linda & Paul Stypulkowski of North Oaks, Minnesota, and Elizabeth & Perry Norman of Cumming. Seven grandchildren also survive.

A native of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Thurman had resided in Sugar Hill, GA for the past 28 years, moving here from Washington, DC. She was a homemaker and a communicant of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Joey Thurman of Sugar Hill; a son, Charles Thurman of Alpharetta, GA; daughters, Chantel Thurman of Vashon, WA, Nicole Thurman-Smith of Apollo Beach, FL, Deborah Thurman of Johns Creek, GA; sisters, Mary Masick of Whiting, IN, Leslee Drudge of Miami, FL, Felicia Schallmo of Park Ridge, IL, Therese Hajduch of Lenexa, KS; a brother, John Morton of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Axel M.E. Thurman Saunders, Joseph Thomas Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Fr. Michael U. Onyekuru as Celebrant. The remains will be carried to the Burns-Kish Funeral Home in Hammond, IN for a Mass and burial.

Lonnie H. Morris, 52, of Dawsonville died Wednesday September 5, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Orlando, Florida, she lived in Dawson County for the past 17 years having moved from Gainesville. A homemaker at her death, Mrs. Morris was formerly employed by American Protein and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Ray Morris and stepfather, Jack Webb.
Survivors include her mother Lucy Arflin-Webb, San Bernardino, CA; children Michael & Joanie Abel, Dawsonville, Melissa & Kevin Vollrath, Dawsonville, Shawn Burkhart, Dublin, GA; sisters Barbara Cooper, San Bernardino, CA, Rebecca Webb, San Bernardino, CA; grandchildren Rebecca Vollrath, Steven Abel, Christopher Vollrath; and nieces Renee Cooper and Jacquline Cooper.

Lynn Ellen Mathewson age 46 of Cumming passed away Tuesday October 2nd, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday October 7th at Grace Chapel Church of Christ with Kurt Picker officiating. Lynn was a graduate of Crestwood High School in Dunwoody, The University of Florida and Emory Law School. Before becoming a full time mother, Lynn was a litigator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Counsel to the HUD Inspector General of the United States.
