Mr. Eugene Shipman, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007.
He is survived by his brother Gus Shipman of Cumming and a number of other relatives Mr. Shipman was cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.

Mr. James D. Jones, age 83, of Cumming, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 following an extended illness. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jones of Cumming, other family members include Jesse and Bette Bugg, Pope Sparrow, Sara Ann Combes, Jay Bugg, and Judy Malinowski.

Mr. John Byrd, Age 70 of Cumming, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007. Mr. Byrd was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Blanche Byrd and his brother, William Byrd.

Mr. John Thomas Settle, age 89 of Shakerag, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 25, 2007 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth. He was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret Green Settle and Grace Margaret Stow.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Donald and Eleanor Settle of Raleigh, NC; his daughter, Nancy Amanda Settle of Cumming; and his grandchildren, Heather Amanda Johnson, Christopher Dean Johnson, and Jonathan Thomas Johnson.

Mr. Rex Remington Veteto
Mr. Rex Remington Veteto, age 86, passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends, September 19, 2007, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in St. Joseph (Lawrence Co.) Tennessee and graduated from Lawrence County High School. He joined the Merchant Marines, and then the Navy during WWII. He graduated from Purdue University in 1951. Rex held various jobs in Farm Management throughout Georgia and Florida and was an avid horseman. He married
Christine Dunlap in 1943 and they raised six sons, all of whom live in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. He was active in church affairs and was a founding member of the Mt. View Church of Christ, assisting with the construction of the church building. He was also very active in the community and entertained with his "one-man-band" in nursing homes throughout the area. Rex was a retired Vocational Agriculture Teacher and loved gardening and the outdoors, having taught several Georgia State FFA officers.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; sons, Rick, Ron, Randall, Reggie, Rhett and Roal; two sisters, Geneva Comer and Charlene Short; a brother, Louis, as well as several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was loved dearly as "Gramps" and will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
A celebration of Rex's life will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Steve Trammell officiating. iIntermentwill follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
