Mr. Tracy Lee Strickland, age 47 of Cumming, passed away Thursday evening, August 9, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents Wiltz and Frances Strickland.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law Terry and Kathy Strickland, Cumming, Tim and Martha Strickland of Cumming; nephews and nieces Scott and Marianne Nash of Cumming, Kristina and Derrick Lepkowski of Cartersville, Joseph and Bethany Strickland, Christopher Strickland and Michael Strickland all of Cumming and several other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 12th at 3:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Blackburn, Joseph Strickland and Rev. Mr. Whitt Gabriel Sandlin
Mr. Whitt Gabriel Sandlin, age 23 of Cumming, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007. He was a graduate of Forsyth Central High School and attended The Art Institute of Atlanta.
Survivors include: mother, Jane Sandlin of Lakeland, GA; father, Guyrus Sandlin of Lithonia; brother, Travis Sandlin of Kennesaw; grandparents, Elaine and Tommy Davis of Cumming, Steve Whittington of Commerce and great-grandmother, Tommie Davis of Tunnell Hill, GA; aunt, Terri Whittington; cousins, Sara, Rebecca, and Cody of Royston, GA; aunt and uncle Chase and Lisa Duer; cousin, Anna of Woodstock; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Edgar officiating.

Runette Martin Phillips
Runette Martin Phillips, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died at her residence on September 17, following an extended illness. Mrs. Phillips was born September 21, 1927 in Forsyth County. She had been a resident of Gainesville since 1952. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and avid gardener.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Branson (Bunt) Phillips, parents, Ed and Mary Jane Martin, brothers, Paul Martin, Red Martin, Buell Martin, Theron "Burk" Martin, Joe Martin, Rev. Minor Martin and Redge Martin, sisters Ruth Martin and Ruby Day. Survivors include daughter Loutricia Phillips Jones, Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Lanier and Sheilah Phillips, Sullivan, Indiana, grandchildren, Mary Jane Jones Beverly and her husband Keith, Gainesville, Branson Phillips and his wife Amber of Durham, North Carolina, Brittain Phillips of Charleston, South Carolina, great-grand daughter, Ella Ann Beverly of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. William Allen Mills, age 47 of Cumming, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007. He was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church and the UAW local 10 union. He was preceded in death by his brother Lamar Mills.
Survivors include his wife Lee Ann Mills of Jasper; parents Leman and Verna Mills of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Perry Cash of Florida, Deborah and Eddie Waters of Colorado; father-in-law and mother-in-law Steve and Barbara Spruill of Jasper; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Steve and Sherrie Spruill, Scott Spruill of Jasper; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Alice Venerdia Pilcher, age 78, of Marietta, GA passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007. She was preceded in death by her sons, Harold Lee Pilcher and Jerry Lamar Hawkins.
Survivors include husband, Joe Pilcher of Marietta; children, Shirley and James Priest of Woodstock, Tommy Hawkins of Marietta, Brenda and Alvin Clements of Florida, Jean and Charles Morris of FL, Tammy and Calvin Beaver of Chatsworth, and Kenny and Sheila Pilcher of Smyrna; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Allene Wolfe Wheeler
Mrs. Allene Wolfe Wheeler, age 97 of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007. She was a charter member of Cumming Baptist Church and a founding member of the Maurie Mathews WMU. Mrs. Wheeler was a long time member of the Eastern Star and the oldest member of the Red Hat Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wheeler, Sr. and son-in-law Sonny Griffin.
Survivors include her daughter, Marian Griffin of Cumming, son and daughter-in-law Joe, Jr. and Virginia Wheeler of Bryson City, NC; three grandchildren Caryn and Tavish Presswood, Jasper, J. and Tricia Griffin, Smyrna, Bethany and Andy Layton, Tampa FL; two great-grandchildren Mikala Layton and Kai Layton of Tampa, FL; several special nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Beverly E. Mancini, age 86, of Johns Creek, formerly of Bellingham, MA, died Sunday, September 16, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Mancini.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Anne Mancini of Johns Creek; daughter, Jane Gilman of Manchester, NH; grandchildren, Megan Mancini and Sean Mancini; sisters, Eileen Bosworth and Valerie Richardson, both of Athol, MA; brother, Richard Mallette of New Haven, CT.

Ronald (Ron) Tumlin, age 49, of Cumming, GA, a devoted husband and father, fell asleep on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 and is now awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ron lost his battle with cancer but won the war. A dedicated Deputy Sheriff, Ron proudly served six years with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Richard E. Martin, age 54 of Cumming, passed away August 9, 2007. Richard was born April 22, 1953 to his parents John and Louise Martin in Spangler PA. He attended Bishop Carroll High School and the University of Steubenville in Ohio where he graduated in 1975. Richard had resided in the Atlanta area since 1975.
Survivors include sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and John Petro of Southlake, TX; nephew Mark Petro of Indianapolis, IN; niece Susan Nixon of Indianapolis, IN; close friend Joan Martin of Decatur; and several other relatives and close friends also survive.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 12:30 at the Highland Tap in Virginia Highlands (Atlanta Georgia).

Rev. J. Lynn Dack, 73, of Dawsonville died Sunday March 23, 2008 at Lanier Park Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born in Painesville, Ohio, Rev. Dack had lived in Dawson County since 1993. He worked for twenty years at the East Ohio Gas Company before going into full time gospel singing with the Evangelaires Quartet. For many years he managed the group and sang baritone. He founded and pastored the First Church of God in Ft. Mitchell, AL after which he was called to pastor Ellet Community Church of God in Akron, Ohio where he served for over five years. He then pastored the First Church of God in East Liverpool, Ohio and his last pastorate was the First Church of God in Lafayette, GA where he served over seven years. He retired in 2006. Rev. Dack was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Dack, brother, Jerry Lee Dack, sisters Marjorie JoAnn Dack and JoEllen Marie Gilliam, and son in law, Stanley Curtis.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, JoAnne Groves Dack, Dawsonville, daughters and sons in law, Terri and Arnett Seeker, Sonora, KY, Vicki Curtis, Buford, GA, Lori and Anthony Pavlik, Canal Fulton, OH; mother, Judith G. Dack, Ransomville, NY; sister, Judith E. Wood, Ransomville, NY; brother, Gene Dack, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeffrey L. Groves will officiate.
