A native of Early county, Mrs. Stephens had resided in Albany for the past fifty years moving from Blakely. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Stephens, Sr. and two brothers, Henry Driver and Tommy Driver.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Gail and Ben Peterman and Jane and Gary Astolos all of Albany, a son and his wife, Horace and Reba Stephens, Jr. of Mitchell County, a stepdaughter, Lois Ridley of Albany, two sisters, Mary Butler of Dunellen, FL, and Doris Temples of Blakely, two brothers, Winston Driver of Atlanta and Gene Driver of Marietta, nine grandchildren, Lisa Boyd, Mike Earnest, Angela Sauls, Marc Earnest, Sandy Dawson, Wendy McConnell, Scott Pettis, Marlena Stephens and Amanda Stephens and eighteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.

ALBANY — Mr. William Jordan (Billy) Whiddon, 67 of 413 Persimmon Dr. in Albany died April 24, 2006 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A native of Tift Co., GA Mr. Whiddon was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church in Tifton and has lived in Albany 29 years where he was retired from Proctor and Gamble Co. after 26 years of service, and was co-owner of The Chain Co. for 6 years. Mr. Whiddon was also a member of the Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Whiddon of Albany, daughters, Cheri Whitmire and her husband Mike of Albany, Terri Polis and her husband Barry of Atlanta, son, Marty Whiddon and his wife Andrea of Albany, six grandchildren, Niki Heard and her husband Jeremy, Taylor, Trent, Katie, and Chloe Whitmire, and a special grandson Connor Hall Whiddon, brother, Johnny Whiddon of Tifton, sister, Delores Spearman of Wildwood, FL.

Born December 20, 1933 in Grady County, Mr. Bulloch was a retired farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Bulloch was the son of the late Willie G. and Lillie Mae Spence Bulloch.

DAWSON — Roy William Hopkins of Dawson died on April 23, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hopkins was born in Chicoh County in Arkansas on February 28, 1935, son of the late Sydney F. Hopkins and Bertha Keeley Hopkins Barfield. He lived in Dawson most of his life and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was retired from General Telephone Company with 33 years of service and later was owner of Hopkins Heating & Air Conditioning from 1983 until his retirement in 2000.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Barfield and J.W. Barfield and two sisters, Nannelle Dent and Helen Bassett.
Survivors include his wife, Syble Etherton Hopkins of Dawson; two daughters, Cheryl Montgomery and her husband, Roger of Talbotton, Pam White and her husband, Robin of Lumpkin; five grandchildren, Craig, Layne and Lynne Montgomery of Talbotton, Caleb and Cody White of Lumpkin; four brothers, Will Barfield and Bobby Barfield, both of Leesburg, Floyd Griffin of Plymouth, Mass., and George Barfield of Ft. Gaines; five sisters, Ethel Mae Barfield, Becky Nickerson and Felicia Raybon, all of Dawson, Jewelene Hamlin of Albany and Dot Brent of Taylor, S.C.

Mr. Cater was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Keenan's Old Timers and Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Geneva Smith Cater.
Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Letlow and two sons and their wives, Jerry and Marie Cater and Daryl and Robin Cater, all of Leesburg; sister, Mildred Bryant of Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren, Andy Letlow, Joshua Love, J.C. Cater, Kristi Cater, Mandi Cater, Jill Morris and Stephen Daryl Cater Jr.; six great-grandchildren.

Born July 12, 1910, in Randolph County, Ala., to Joseph and Cindy Lou Lipham Allen, Mrs. Gill had lived in Dougherty and Mitchell County for the past 24 years after living in Colquitt County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Congregational Christian Church at Poplar Arbor.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sara Faye and Marvin Byrum of Baconton; two daughters-in-law, Jean Gill of Bushnell, Fla., and Betty Hackel of Tuscon, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wesley Gill, December 19, 1962; also preceded in death by four children, Millard W. Gill, Marion Clyde Gill, Horace C. Gill and Judy Ann Gill Willis.
