SYLVESTER Janet Baggett Bryant, 47, of Sylvester died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment in Baggett Family Cemetery. The Rev. Chip Gresham will officiate.
Born October 5, 1958, in Rutherford County, Tenn., (Smyrna), to Alton R. and Charolette Baggett, Mrs. Bryant had lived in Worth County since 1975 moving here from Albany. She was a floral and interior designer and decorator. Janet loved antiques and was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. A Baptist, she accepted Christ at the Falls Creek Baptist Assembly in Davis, OK.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie C. Bryant of Sylvester; one daughter, Amy Leigh Ferguson of Sylvester; two sons, Scott Ferguson and Eric Ferguson of Sylvester; parents, Alton R. and Charolette Baggett of Sylvester; one sister, Janie Nutt of Sylvester; one brother, Brian Baggett (Lisa) of Sylvester; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben and Veda Stewart of Graham, OK, and Ed and Pearl Baggett of Cairo.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Banks Funeral Home.

Born August 2, 1935, in Dougherty County, Mrs. Mims was educated in the Dougherty County School System. She was a domestic engineer and a member of The House of Prayer by Faith Church "God's Hospital".

ALBANY Tommy Wayne Wilks "Artic Wolf" of Terrell County died Saturday, July 15, 2006.
The graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3 PM at Bronwood City cemetery with the Rev. Andy Goode officiating.
A native of Thomaston, Mr. Wilks had lived in the Albany area most of his life. He was employed as a customer service representative by Telecommunications Performance formerly known as CallTech Communications. Mr. Wilks worked for most of his life as a truck driver most recently with Sunflower Carriers. He teamed with his long time friend Raymond Hoover "Ghost Rider." Before becoming a truck driver, he was a supervisor for several convenience stores in Columbus and Albany. Mr. Wilks loved motorcycles and computers. He was also known as "Hero" to his family and friends and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wilks is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ralph Wilks and Jean Boyette; and a son, TR Wilks.
Mr. Wilks is survived by his loving wife and friend, Froney Wilks of Terrell County; a brother, Alan Boyette of Jesup; a sister, Judy Buckles of Connecticut; and his mother-in-law, Doris Grier of Cusseta.
The family will receive friend at Kimbrell-Stern Tuesday from 6 PM until 8 PM.

Mrs. Stripling died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at the age of 94 at Bell Minor Nursing Home where she had resided for the past five years in Gainesville, GA.
A native of Terrell County, she was born July 10, 1912, and was the only child of the late James Ronaldson Webb and Willa Marshall Webb. Mrs. Stripling graduated from the Teacher's College of the University of Georgia and was a dedicated public school teacher for more than thirty years. She lived in Cordele for forty years and was a faithful member of the Cordele First Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school classes. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and OPEL Club. Her hobbies were China painting, traveling, gardening, baking, teaching current affairs classes, and playing bridge with her friends. Mrs. Stripling will be greatly missed by the many people who loved her and the lives she touched with her kind and sweet spirit.
She is survived by her three children, James Robert Stripling of Hollywood, FL, Barbara Stripling Still of Flowery Branch, GA, Willa Stripling Santee and her husband, Bud Santee of Cumming; and two grandchildren, Michelle Carroll of Flowery Branch and James David Stripling of Massapeque, NY; her dearly loved cousin, Winnie Smith of Dawson, Luke and Faye Smith and their children, Mallory and Alex of Dawson and David Smith of La Crosse, WI.
