ALBANY — Mr. James V. Stewart, 80, of Albany died Thursday April 12, 2007.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, 11 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. A.R. Wilbourn officiating.
A native of Sumner, GA, Mr. Stewart lived in Albany most of his life where he retired from M and M Mars. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and Korea. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ross Juneau; 2 brothers, Alexander Stewart and Harry Stewart and a sister, Margaret Lumpkin.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Susan Juneau of Albany and Elaine Pike and her husband (Tom) of Albany; one brother, Robert Stewart and his wife (Latrelle) of Sumner, GA; five grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan, and Steven Juneau and Andy and his wife (Christina) and Charlie Pike.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 13, 2007, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.

ALBANY — Gordon Ozell Wright Sr., 91, of Albany died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
His funeral service will be Friday (today) at 3 PM at the First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The Revs. Mike McAfee, James Hughes, and Jay Hughes will officiate.
A native of Turner County, Mr. Wright had lived in Albany for 84 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Past Chairman of the Church Board of Trustees, and Past President and member of the Hudson Malone Sunday School Class. Mr. Wright has served as an usher at First Methodist Church for over 40 years. He was a 1934 graduate of Albany High School, member of the Quad A Hall of Fame, and Past President of the Albany Lions Club. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a lifetime member of the Walter H. Burt American Legion Post 30.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years: Dorothy Wright of Albany; a daughter: Jo Wright Hughes and her husband, James of Dalton, GA; 2 sons: Gordon Ozell Wright, Jr. of Albany, Bill Wright and his wife, Sandra of Albany; 7 grandchildren: James Wright Hughes and his wife Anne, Jerry Gordon Hughes and his wife Dedra, Joel Cavender Hughes and his wife Karo, Jeff Mitchell Hughes and his wife Joan, Hank Wright and his wife Staci, Jodi Peacock and her husband David, Molly Strickland and her husband Bo; 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today at First United Methodist Church from 2 PM until 3 PM.

ALBANY — Karen Hunsinger Bean, 62, of Albany died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday (Today) at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with Rev. John Spencer officiating. The graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Westover Memorial Gardens in Augusta.
A native of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Bean retired in 2000 after 35 years of service from Graybar Electric where she was an administrative assistant. She was a longtime member of Certified Professional Secretary, and the local chapter of International Association of Administrative Professional. Mrs. Bean also worked for the past couple of years in the Business Office at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. While living in Tampa, FL, she was a leader in Girls in Action. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Buddy Woodard Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Phillip Bean, Sr. who died February 2, 2007.
Mrs. Bean is survived by her stepson, Charles Phillip Bean, Jr. and his wife, Leigh Ann of Grovetown, GA; a granddaughter, Ansley Patricia Bean; her parents, Edgar C. and Juanita Hunsinger of Augusta.

SYLVESTER — Royce Powell, 68, of Poulan died May 15, 2007, at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Providence Cemetery. The Rev. Rocky Duckworth and the Rev. Bill Barksdale will officiate.
Born February 11, 1939, in Tift County, to Bessie Leola Howell Powell and William Clyde Powell, Mr. Powell had lived in Worth County all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army and was the owner/operator of Royce Powell Auto Service. Mr. Powell was an avid NASCAR and Atlanta Braves fan. He was a member of Poulan Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Webb Powell of Poulan; four sons, Blaine Powell of Poulan, Joe Powell (Betty) of Sumner, Tim Powell (Lisa) of Ty Ty and Christopher Powell of Poulan; two sisters, Joyce Harnage of Americus and Marilyn Reynolds (Wesley) of Coverdale; sisters-in- law, Marsha Powell Wilson (Gene) of Americus and Mary Bea Powell of Sylvester; three grandchildren, Derrick and Jennifer Powell and Matthew Powell.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by a son, Critt Powell on October 28, 1993; two brothers, Delson and Sonny Powell; two sisters, Mary Ruth Willis and Clydie Lee Willis Shields.

Born January 23, 1948, Mr. Smith was a graduate of Monroe High School and Albany State University where he received a B.S. degree in Education. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, John Henry and Shirley Smith of Albany; one sister, Charlie Mae Ellis of Albany; several nieces and nephews.
The remains of Mr. Smith will be placed in the church for viewing Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
