Thomas Bernard Dann

Thomas Bernard Dann, 92, died peacefully at home on July 26th. His wife of 67 years, family, and devoted Jack Russell Terrier (Christy) were by his side. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and as a Christian has gone to be with his Savior Jesus Christ after a lengthy illness. His sense of humor and generous good nature will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Tommy was born to Sarah Salome Hanna and Earl R. Dann on February 19, 1918 in Chicago, IL. The family moved to Tallahassee when he was 15, and he graduated from Leon High School in 1936. He worked at the Floridian Hotel before joining the US Army and is a WWII veteran. Tommy married
his beloved Edith Corinne Hamrick of Monticello, FL on February 21, 1943. He was a generous and loving father and proud and doting grandfather.
He retired from the US Postal Service as a rural carrier after 30 years. He was a fan of FSU sports and worked part time at the FSU Athletics Ticket Office after retiring. Tommy enjoyed raising Angus cattle on his farm in Jefferson County and was a member of the Florida Cattlemen's Association and the Angus Association. He was also a member of the Elks Club.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. graveside at Tallahassee Memorial Gardens in Tallahassee, FL. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home (Appalachee Parkway Chapel) in Tallahassee, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Edith of Tallahassee; daughter, Suzanne Baham; granddaughter, Catherine Baham; sister, Thelma Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Dann; and sisters, Maxine Lee and Margo Bruck. Born in Mitchell County, GA on August 16, 1946 to Leopal Dawson Law and the late Hayward Law, Ms. Palmer was the wife of the late Jim Palmer.

to the late Jeff Martin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham and a retired clothing department store manager.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at her residence. Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Dr. Kim Grueser will officiate the services.
Mrs. Martin is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Chezem of Pelham, Georgia and a nephew Jim Price and wife, Willene, of Concord, North Carolina.
