Mrs. Virginia McElvy Ferrell, 89, of 231 Baggs Avenue, Pelham, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 2, 1011 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Born on November 29, 1921 in Mitchell County, Georgia to the late Rosser Inman and Charley Bertha Maxwell McElvy, she was married
to the late George Ferrell. Mrs. Ferrell was a member of Hand Memorial United Methodist Church and was a retired beautician.
Survivors include a brother, Inman McElvy of Leesburg, Florida, sister Eunice Jernigan of Dalton, Georgia, and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ferrell, parents Inman Rosser and Charley Bertha Maxwell McElvy, and sister Marcile Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 1 until 2 p.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Jamerson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Finn will officiate the services. iIntermentwill follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
James "Jimmy" M. Johnson, Jr.

James "Jimmy" M. Johnson, Jr, 77, of Sumter County, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Wilson Hospice House in Dougherty County, Georgia. Born on November 16, 1933 in Sumter County, Georgia to the late James M. and Ruth Johnson, he was married
to the late Mary Presnell Johnson. He was a retired brick mason and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Huntington community.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Johnson of Leesburg, Georgia, Paul Johnson of Columbus, Georgia, daughter Susan Garzon of Tampa, Florida, grandchildren Daniel Johnson of Leesburg, Georgia, Benjamin Johnson of Columbus, Georgia and Anthony Garzon of South Dakota.
There will be no formal visitation held. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 graveside at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in the Huntington community at 2:00 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Humphries, parents Lawrence T. and Irene Brock Godwin, and brother C. W. Godwin.

to the late Robert Franklin Barton. Mrs. Barton was a member of the Burns Memorial United Methodist Church as well as the Cotton Homemakers Club, the William T. Flynt Chapter 303 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Matron of the William T. Flynt Chapter 303 Order of the Eastern Star and past Grand Deputy of District #29 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne E. Christhilf of Warren, Rhode Island, sons Robert Franklin Barton, Jr. of Pickerington, Ohio, Richard Fred Barton of Meigs, Georgia, Ronald F. Barton of Phoenix, Arizona, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, brother Edwin Berry of Lilburn, Georgia, sister Dorothy Atwood of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Barton and parents Percy W. and Lillian Chew Berry.

Born on December 2, 1925 in Mitchell County, Georgia to the late T. B. and Bertha Dekle Fenn, he was a retired bookkeeper for Hand Trading Company. He was a member of East Pelham Baptist Church, as well as the American Legion, and the Pelham Masonic Lodge #312 for 50 years. He was married
to the late Agnes Haire Joiner Fenn. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Fenn is survived by his son Van Fenn and wife, Vonda of Chula, Georgia, daughter Rhonda McBee and husband, Charlie of Cairo, Georgia, grandchildren Clint McBee of Cairo, Georgia, Russ Fenn of Chula, Georgia, J.
