Deacon Johnny Lee Davis was born the sixth child of the late Ell and Jessie Davis on January 01, 1945 in Shellman, Randolph County, GA.

He attended Shellman Vocational School, Shellman, GA. After high school, he moved to Miami, FL. On August 23, 1968, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Gladys P. Wallace of Miami, FL. Together they shared a home of love and warmth for 44 years.

Deacon Davis was converted at an early age and was baptized at Rocky Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, Shellman, GA, where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After his move to Miami, FL, he joined the Way of Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Whittaker and was a faithful and diligent servant. Upon moving to Brevard County, FL, he attended Destiny Life Church.

He was employed by the Dade County School Board until his retirement in 2009.

On Wednesday, December 14, 2011, Dea. Davis was called from his earthly labor to rest in his Heavenly Home.

Precious memories will always linger in the hearts and minds of his loving family which includes, his loving and caring wife, Gladys Davis, Melbourne, FL; two sons, John Davis, Tampa, FL and Ricardo Davis, Melbourne, FL; four granddaughters, Krisma (Shannon), Mercedes, Felicia and Jasmine; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Willie Bell Darity, Dawson, GA and Betty Jean Davis, Melbourne, FL; two brothers, Ell (Pansy) Davis, Lake Worth, FL and Eddie (Uginia) Davis, Miami, FL; three sisters-in-law, Thelma D. Dunn, Miami, FL, Diane Brown and Ollie Givens, both of Columbus, GA; four brothers-in-law, Anthony (Marie) Wallace, Miami, FL, Wayne (Janet) Givens, Thomasville, GA, Charles (DoVonne) Givens, Augusta, GA and Derrell (Cynthia) Givens, Barstow, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bro. Larry Roberts was born the first child of the late Abraham and Lula Roberts on November 08, 1957 in Albany, Dougherty County, GA.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, GA.

Early in life, Bro. Roberts accepted Christ as his personal savior and carried the church in his heart. He visited many churches in the Albany area and was a true believer of treating others the way in which he wanted to be treated.

Larry never married and his single lifestyle made it possible for him to devote much time to doing what he enjoyed most - writing music. He was very dedicated to his songwriting. He wrote several while in the hospital. There was no such thing as stopping him. His dreams were to help his sisters and brothers prosper. He was very much loved by family and friends and Larry knew there was much love for him.

On Thursday, December 29, 2011, Bro. Larry Roberts was called from his earthly labor to his place of eternal rest.

Precious memories will always linger in the hearts and minds of his loving family which includes five sisters, Geneva (Arthur Lee) Burke, Rozena Roberts, Virginia Cheeks, Marian (Pastor Kimble) Jackson and Joann Roberts, all of Albany, GA; five brothers, Charles (Delores) Roberts, Huntsville, Al, Freddie Lee (Elzina) Roberts, Meriden, CT, Ernest (Ruby) Roberts, Macon, GA, Jacob (Arnita) Roberts, Merrillville, IN, Ronnie (Natalie) Roberts, Garland, TX; four uncles, Joseph Roberts, New York, NY, Lee Hall, Warshula, FL, Rogers Roberts and Albert Hall, Jr., both of Albany, GA; two aunts, Hattie Golden, Albany, GA and Mattie Williams, Kokomo, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bro. Daniel Parkman, Jr. was born in Springvale, GA on February 19, 1946 to the late Daniel Parkman, Sr. and the late Annie Mitchell Parkman Scott. His stepfather, the late Eddie Scott, was an instrumental figure in his life.

His education was received in the public schools of Randolph County, GA. He worked as a farmer until he became disabled.

Daniel accepted Christ as his Personal Savior at an early age. In later years, he became a member of Faith Temple Church, Inc., Cuthbert, GA under the leadership of Bishop Gwendolyn Mallard. He served faithfully until his health permitted him from attending.

On Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Fort Gaines HealthCare, Fort Gaines, GA, Bro. Daniel Parkman quietly gave up his last earthly breath for eternal life with his Heavenly Father.

Precious memories will always remain with his loving and devoted family, which includes his wife of 43 years, Iantha Richardson Parkman, Cuthbert, GA; three children, Shanda Parkman, Sharon Parkman Wilder and Michael Parkman, all of Cuthbert, GA; three sisters, Mary (Waymond) Culver, Delores Williams and Betty Parkman, all of Fort Gaines, GA and one brother, Charlie Parkman of Abbeville, AL; four grandchildren, Kywanna Parkman, Daniel J. Parkman, Terrell N. Sis. Loretta Livingston was born December 18, 1961 in Leary, GA. She was the third of six children born to Mrs. Mary Lynn Jackson and the late Mr. Daniel ‘Dick’ Jackson.

Loretta received her spiritual upbringing in Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, Leary, GA, where she remained a member until her demise.

Her education was received in the public schools of Calhoun County, GA where she was a 1979 graduate of Calhoun County High School. She furthered her education at Albany Technical College, Albany, GA, where she received a certificate in Early Childhood Education. Loretta devoted 15 years of her life to educating and nurturing young children.

Early in life, Loretta married the late Freddie Dean Zackery. Their union was blessed with a daughter, LaTrisha Zackery. On August 31, 1984, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Jeffery Livingston and blessed with two daughters, Suntania and Jessica Livingston.

Loretta lived a life of kindness and compassion tempered with a vibrant and fun-filled spirit. She enjoyed an array of activities to include singing, dancing, helping others, spending time with family and especially Praising the Lord. One of her true passions was making music with the family band she founded, ‘The MTC Gospel Singers.’

On Thursday, January 12, 2012, our dearly beloved Loretta laid down her building built by man for an eternal mansion in the sky. Even though our hearts ache with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that she has received her crown. We all were so blessed to have shared her life. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her eldest sister, Marion White.

Precious memories of a life well lived will always remain constant with her family which includes her loving husband of 24 years, Jeffery Livingston; three daughters who are truly ‘Great Women of God’, LaTrisha Zackery, Suntania Livingston and Jessica Livingston; stepdaughter, Schemika Glover; step-son, Corey Glover; loving mother, Mary Lynn Jackson; three sisters, Eva Moore, Mary Alice Jackson and Patricia Jackson; a brother, Emanuel Jackson; 16 grandchildren; five aunts; three uncles and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Lawrence 'Casper' Andrews
(Died December 1, 2011)

Mr. Lawrence Frank Andrews, the son of the late Charlie ‘Big Brown’ and the late Mable Kate Andrews died on Thursday, December 01, 2011 at Scripps Mercy Hospital.

Lawrence, was a 'Magnificient Artist' and touched many lives with his art. His art can be viewed on his Facebook page: Lawrence Casper Andrews.

A memorial service was held at the San Diego Community Center.

Sis. Vernell McGregor Carter, the daughter of the late Issac and Nettie Johnson McGregor, was born on August 26, 1933 in Sale City, GA.

Early in life, she accepted Christ as her personal savior at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Sale City, GA.

In later years, she moved to New Jersey where she met and married the late Rev. Samuel Carter. Together they created a home full of love and warmth for four children. During her formal years, it was not customary for blacks to receive a high school diploma, but Sis. Carter realized that education was an important aspect of life. In later years, she accomplished a personal goal when she received her GED. In 1958, she and her family united with New Bethel Baptist Church, Elizabeth, NJ, where her husband became pastor in 1976. Sis. Carter was active with the Women's Department and Sunday School. She retired from the New Jersey Public School System as a Crossing Guard.
In 1986, Sis. Carter relocated to Albany, GA and united with 1st Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Mother’s Board and Ministers’ Wives Board. She remained a dedicated and devoted member until her health began to decline.

On Sunday, April 01, 2012 at Laura Baye HealthCare, Macon, GA, the Creator of all things called His Servant home. Although family and friends were deeply saddened to receive the news of her passing, they were soon comforted with assurance that she is now resting in Perfect Peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Phillips; three sisters, Annie Grace Raybon, Lila Maude Davis and Mattie Ruth McGregor; four brothers, William McGregor, John McGregor, Benjamin Samuels and Andrew McGregor and one adopted daughter, Mary Whitfield.
The legacy of Sis. Carter’s season will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted family, which includes three children, Saundra Carter, Macon, GA, Vickie (Kevin) Sales, Sayreville, NJ and Kelvin (Sylvia) Barber, Newark, NJ; a god-daughter, Helaine Raybon, Scotsplain, NJ; a sister, Julia Mae Teal, Randolph, NJ; a brother, Issac McGregor, Newark, NJ; adopted son-in-law, Rev. Carl Whitfield, Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Bessie Carter, Freeport, Long Island; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Betty) Carter, East Orange, NJ, Ezress Carter, Fort Lauderdale, FL and Eddie (Rose) Carter, Dawson, GA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special thanks is extended to Rev. Gary Sanders and the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Albany, GA; Rev. David Stanley and the Union Baptist Church, Macon, GA; the staff and management of Hospice Advantage and Laura Baye Nursing Facility, both of Macon, GA. The love and generosity shown to us will forever be remembered.

Mr. Jake Davis was born June 02, 1952 in Shellman, Randolph County, GA to Sarah Lee Johnson and the late Joe Davis, Sr. He was raised by his stepfather, Anthony Johnson, Jr., who showered him with love and support.

At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Rocky Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, Shellman, GA.

His education was received in the public schools of Randolph County, GA. He attended Shellman Vocational High School and was a 1971 graduate of Henderson High School, Cuthbert, GA.
Jake was employed with H G Beard Farm, Shellman, GA for many years.

On Wednesday, April 04, 1972, Jake departed his earthly life for eternity with his Earthly Father at Willson Hospice House, Albany, GA. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Anthony Johnson, Jr. and two brothers, Joe Davis, Jr. and Eddie Johnson.

Precious memories will always be cherished by his loving and devoted family which includes his mother, Sarah Johnson; three sisters, Sarah and her husband, Randy Cooper, who was a very close friend of Dawson, GA, Bernethia (Dea. Grayling) Johnson, Shellman, GA and Louise Davis, Albany, GA; four brothers, Anthony Johnson, III and Willie Johnson, both of Shellman, GA, Deron (Stephanie) Johnson and Joey Davis, both of Albany, GA; two aunts, Annie Washington, Shellman, GA and Willie Jewel Washington, Morgan, GA; two uncles, Tom (Joyce) Washington, Lincoln, DE and George (Kattie) Washington, Tamarac, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
