Mrs. Evelyn Melissa Cain Mason, 82, 1011 Prospect Rd., Rockmart, died February 9, 2004. Mrs. Mason was born April 29, 1921 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Lula Hulsey Cain Sr. She was a homemaker and member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Mr. James Ralph Akins, 85, 212 Carlton Dr., Rockmart, died February 6, 2004. Mr. Akins was born June 9, 1918 in Little Rock, Arkansas son of the late Mollie Ford Akins and the late C. Manco Akins. He was a member of the Yokosuka, Japan Masonic Lodge No. 20 F & AM, member of the Yorkville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lee
Mrs. Earline Burell Lee, 64, 228 David Price Rd., Cedar-town, died February 6, 2004. Mrs. Lee was born in Rockmart on December 3, 1939, a daughter of Clifford Owen Burell and Ethel Lucinda Wix Burell. She had lived all of her life in Polk County where she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Pope
Mrs. Helen Lynn Pope, 46, 460 Black Rock Rd., Aragon, died February 7, 2004. Mrs. Pope was born in San Juan Puerto Rica on October 21, 1957, a daughter of the late Harold Lloyd Montgomery and Wilma Jean Wilson Mont-gomery. She had lived most of her life in the Rockmart area, was a homemaker.
Mrs. Williams
Mrs. Betty Ann Williams, 61 No. 2 West Fifth Street, Aragon, died May 19, 2004. Mrs. Williams was born May 12, 1943 in Polk County, daughter of the late James Monroe Williams and Estelle Byers Williams. She was a retired employee of the Cartersville Goodyear Mill.
Mrs. Hoak
Mrs. Cleo Victoria Evans Hoak, 69, 3641 Coppermine Rd., Temple, died May 25, 2004. Mrs. Hoak was born in Cobb County on October 5, 1934, the daughter of the late Mr. Alonzo Evans and the late Mrs. Pauline Cantrell Evans. She was retired from the Hubbard Company. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Syble “Dottie” Wilson Gentry, 62, 523 Lane St., Rockmart, died May 20, 2004. Mrs. Gentry was born January 4, 1942 in Polk County, daughter of the late Harry Wilson and Helen Sullivan Wilson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Morris.
Mr. Carmichael
Mr. Bobby Howard Carmichael, 71, Southwest City, Missouri, formerly of Cedartown, died May 15, 2004. Mr. Carmichael was born January 28, 1933 in Polk County. He was of the Catholic Faith. He worked for Lee Cylinders in Cedartown before retirement. He served two years in the U.S. Army.
Mrs. Lankford
Mrs. Mary Louise Peek Lankford, 82, 130 Longshore Road, Aragon, died May 21, 2004. Mrs. Lankford was born October 18, 1921 in Polk County, daughter of the late Elbert and Anabird Dooley Powell. She was a homemaker and a member of Eden Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband.

Mr. Anthony Jimmy Brock, 33, 939 Portland Road, Aragon, died August 17, 2004. Mr. Brock was born October 30, 1970 in Polk County, son of the late Franklin Junior Brock and Martha Ingle Brock. He was of the Baptist faith. He was the owner of Brock Land-scaping.
