Riley Gene Robbins, age 2, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, April 25, at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his parents Chris and Lori Robbins and his brother Christopher Alexander Robbins all of Eatonton, grandparents: Jennifer and Larry Davis of Eatonton, Rita and Dave Carroll of Tennessee, Ronald Robbins of North Carolina, Lisa Carter of Eatonton and his godmother Ariel Privette.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 until 1PM at Moore's Funeral Home.

John Rivers Grimes
(December 7, 1920 - March 15, 2012)
John Rivers Grimes, Jr. passed away in Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL on March 15, 2012 at age 91.
Services will be held at 2PM Sunday, March 18, at the chapel of Moore's Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Gunn officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Milledgeville on December 7, 1920 and was the son of John R. Grimes, Sr. and Anne Maude Mercer Grimes.
He was a retired Lt. Col with the U.S. Army serving over 29 years.
He began his military service with the Georgia Army National Guard’s Battery D of the 214th Coast Artillery Battalion based in Milledgeville and was called into active service with the battery in 1940.
He served in Europe during the Second World War.
He was at Bastogne, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
He received a field commission to Second Lieutenant in May 1945.
After the war he served as the “mayor” of Heidelberg, Germany which included having custody of the German rocket scientists.
After leaving the service he returned to the University of Georgia where he was studying forestry.
He was ordered back to active duty in 1948 and served in Texas and Japan where he married the late Beatrice Harvey Grimes, RN of Rockland, ME, in 1950.
He was sent to Korea in 1950 with Battery A of the 26th AAA (AW) as part of the 24th Infantry Division.
He served during the battle of Taejon, the Pusan Perimeter, and at the Yalu River and subsequent retreat.
He was awarded the Silver Star for action during the breakout from the encirclement of the 24th Division at Taejon for leading his halftracks in a successful attack against a North Korean roadblock.
He also received a Purple Heart for wounds received.
After returning from the Korean War, he attended the Artillery School at Fort Sill, OK, served as an advisor to the Washington State National Guard in Seattle, WA and then was transferred to Fort Rucker, AL, where he served as the Combat Support Battery commander and Operations Office (S-3) for the 32nd Infantry Battle Group.
Subsequently, he was transferred to Ft. Benning, GA, where he served with the Second Infantry Division as Division Artillery S-2 and as battalion commander 1st Battalion, 12th Artillery.
While at Ft. Benning, he was sent as an observer during the Freedom March in Alabama where he was in direct contact with the then Attorney General of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy.
He was then transferred to Korea again where he served with the 1st Cavalry Division and Second Infantry Division as 1st Battalion, 15th Artillery battalion commander and commander of Camp Pelham.
He returned to the United States where he was assigned to Ft. McPherson, GA where he served as Assistant Inspector General, Field Inspection Section, Headquarters, Third U.S. Army.
He retired from active duty in January 1969.
His military decorations include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Korean Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal (with 1st Oak Leaf cluster), and Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with device).
After retirement he returned to Milledgeville, GA where he was a cattle farmer.
He served as a soil conservation supervisor in the Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District and was president of the Baldwin County Georgia Farm Bureau for several years.
He was a member of the Farmer’s Club.
He was the brother of the late Leo Grimes and James Grimes both of Milledgeville.
He is survived by his three children, John P. Grimes of Huntsville, AL, Marilyn G. Chase of Lake Stevens, WA, and Paul H. Grimes of Milledgeville, GA.
He has two grandchildren, Rebecca Burhman, Great Falls, MT and Matthew Chase, IL.
He is also survived by his brother, Daniel M. Grimes, sister, Blanche Brown, both of Atlanta, Sue Abbott, Price, UT, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6PM until 8PM and also on Sunday from 1PM until the service hour at 2PM at Moores Funeral Home.

Edward Harvey Shull
(November 4, 1940 - October 25, 2010)
Edward Harvey Shull, 69, of Cumming, GA passed away on October 25, 2010 at Northside Forsyth Hospital.
Born in Chattanooga, TN he was the son of the late Nancy Agnes and Harvey Shull.
Ed had a long, distinguished career with the Quaker Oats Co. that spanned over 38 years.
He spent his first years in sales up until 1983.
While maintaining his sales position, he began representing Quaker Oats and Gatorade in the NASCAR circuit.
Soon thereafter he transitioned roles and moved to the Sports Marketing Division of Quaker Oats for the NASCAR division.
This was his passion and a position he truly loved.
Along the way, he touched many lives in and around NASCAR.
Even though he retired in 2003, Ed continued to live out his passion as a consultant with Gatorade and the NASCAR industry.
We know that many in the NASCAR family will miss Ed’s presence, sense of humor, and friendly face on Sunday’s at the track.
Throughout his life, some of Ed’s other passions included golf, his time spent in the Drum and Bugle Corps, gospel music, as well as relaxing at his retreat in Destin, FL and spending time with his family and being the best “Papaw” to his grandchildren.
Edward was a devoted husband, father and “Papaw”.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda J. Shull of Cumming, GA; daughters, Sherri (Robert) Langley of Aspen, CO and Terri (Larry) Delbridge of Woodstock, GA; sons, Kenneth Edward Shull of Alpharetta, GA and Jeffery (Jennifer) Shull of Gainesville, GA; sisters, Tommye Long of Sumter, SC and Robbie (Jim) Hester of Rossville, GA and Jewel (Charles) Rogers of Rossville, GA; brother, James Warren (Sue) Shull of Hixon, TN; grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Carlyn, MacKenzie and Quinn Langley, Riley Martinez, Tara, Karson and Chase Delbridge and Tucker, Mitchell and Heather Shull.
Edward loved and supported his family in all that they did.
The funeral service and celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mike Schmid will officiate.
Pallbearers include Kyle Langley, Jacob Langley, Lee Burleson, Bob Nelson, Skeeter Schuessler, Sean Eggert, Bill Fitch, Dan Zacharias, Al Klein, Bob Harris, Roger Servat, Hobie Walker, Greg Rogers and Gary Rogers.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 1:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Margaret Anne Faulk King
Mrs. Margaret Anne Faulk King was born in Foley, Alabama on April 21, 1936. She Graduated from Foley High School and received a BA degree in English from Samford University (then Howard College ) in 1957. She married Elton Richard King, Jr. on August 16, 1957. She taught and was guidance counselor at Murphy High School in Atlanta from 1957 – 1965. She received a Masters of Education from Mercer University and taught for many years at Five Forks Middle School in Gwinnett County.
Margaret had three children – Carol King Lewis (husband William Curtis Lewis), Melissa King Rogers (husband Brandon Rogers), Eric Michael King (wife Cheryl Stites King), and four grandchildren – Zachary and Alexander King, Tyler Lewis and Jessica Lewis. Two brothers, Warren Faulk and wife Barbara, Michael Faulk and wife Sharon. She enjoyed music and was a member of the Decatur Civic Chorus for many years. She sang in choirs at Woodlawn Baptist Church, Avondale Estates Baptist Church, Smoke Rise Baptist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville, Georgia. She enjoyed attending the Barbershop Harmony Society Convention to hear her son’s quartet perform. Long after her retirement, Margaret volunteered in the primary school in Blairsville to help children read. She was blessed with many friends and family members who " have made my life full and meaningful."
Battling cancer for nearly twenty five years, Margaret devoted much of her life to encouraging hundreds of others and truly reflected Jesus to all who met her. She defied the odds with superhuman grace, and reminded us that dignity comes from within. She remains our hero.
There will be a funeral service at the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville, Ga. At 3 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2005. 859 Highway 515, Blairsville, Ga. 30512. Rev. Eddie Herring and Dr. J. Truett Gannon Officiating. Family will received friends 1 hour before the service.
A memorial service will be held at Smoke Rise Baptist Church at 3 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2005. Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain.

Rev. John Willis Garrett
Rev. John Willis Garrett, age 79 of Ingram Road, Young Harris, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, in the Piedmont Hospital, in Atlanta, Ga. after a sudden illness. Rev. Garrett was born on June 5, 1926 in Suches, Ga., to the late Link Garrett and the late Martha Seabolt Garrett. He was a Preacher of 47 years, self employed carpenter, and life long resident of Union and Towns counties. A member of the New Harmony Baptist Church in Blairsville, Ga.
Surviving Rev. Garrett are his loving wife, of sixteen years Edith Zimmerman Garrett of Young Harris, 5 children Alvin and Elizabeth Garrett, Larry and Bonnie Garrett, Ila Mae and Dorsey Dockery, Arlene Garrett all of Blairsville, Ga. and Rose Garrett of Cartersville, Ga. Step children Teresa and Donny Gibson of Blairsville, Timothy and Sherry Ingram of Young Harris, Shirley and Johnny Smith Blairsville, Shelia Owens of Brasstown, N. C., Jeffery Ingram of Gainesville. Sisters, Mae Clark of Gainesville, Beulah Penland of Murrayville, Bessie Brown, Shirley Carey, Myrtle Collins, Evelyn and Hubert Shook, Vivian and Bo Conley all of Blairsville, Bertha and Joe Powers of Dahlonega, Brother, Jimmy and Jean Garrett of Gainesville, 14 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2005 from the New Harmony Baptist Church, interment fallowed in the church cemetery, Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Kenny Beavers officiating. Music by the New Harmony Choir. Pallbearers Alton Garrett, Marshall Gibson, Hogan Guffey, Rodney Carey, Kevin Conley and Randy Brown.
