MINNIE DUNCAN SHOOK
Mrs. Minnie Duncan Shook, age 84, of Duncan Rd., Young Harris, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 in the Chatuge Regional Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Shook was born on July 17, 1922 in Clay County, NC, the daughter of the late Jessie McGaha and the late Nellie Meadows McGaha. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Brown Duncan in 1957 and by her second husband, Garland Shook in 1986, also by a sister, Eva Teems and by three brothers, Earl, John and Fred McGaha. She was a lifelong resident of Towns County. Mrs. Shook was a member of Old Brasstown Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Shook are one daughter, Frances Duncan Norton of Young Harris, two step-daughters, Irene (Charles) Land of Hiawassee, Christine (George) Allen of Hiwassee, one brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Sadie McGaha of Young Harris, one sister and brother-in-law, Altha and Carl Gilbert of Young Harris, two grandchildren, Penny (Terry) Ledford of Young Harris, Kenny (Andi) Norton of Douglasville, GA, two great-grandchildren, Cole and Emily Ledford, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Old Brasstown Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Stiles and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Special music will be presented by Johnny and Jimmy Hogsed. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Freddie, Tim, Jerry and John McGaha Jr., Larry and Lanny Teems, Steve and Eddie Gilbert and George (Red) Allen. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah church cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening from 5:30-9:00 pm at the Old Brasstown Baptist Church.

RUBY JEAN HOOD LLOYD
Mrs. Ruby Jean Hood Lloyd, age 90, of Forest Drive, Blairsville, formerly of Nashville, GA, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Lloyd was born on June 5, 1915 in Ellijay, GA, the daughter of the late William Jess Hood and the late Carrie Kell Hood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin James Lloyd Sr. in 1993 and by one sister, Katherine Hood Braren, and three brothers, James Hood, William Hood and Paul Collins. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Lloyd are two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Lloyd of Blairsville, Mary Louise and Dr. Charles King of Cedar Bluff, VA., one son and daughter-in-law, Austin James Jr. and Faye Lloyd of Nichols, GA, one brother, W. D. Collins of Osteen, FL, two sisters, Louise Lightfoot of Orlando, FL, Bunzie Harmon of Lakeland, FL, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 11:00 am from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Cline officiating. Special music will be presented by the Jubilee Choir. Interment and graveside services will follow on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Fender Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7pm.

MICHAEL GENE RUSH
Mr. Michael Gene Rush, age 47, of Dean Gap Rd., Blairsville, formerly of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 7, 2006, while riding his jet ski. Mr. Rush was born on Sept. 15, 1958 in West Palm Beach, FL, the son of the late Clifford Joseph Rush and the late Mildred Smith Rush. He enjoyed all sports and hunting. He was known for his creative use of the English language. Michael was always friendly and helpful to his friends and neighbors and even strangers in need. He had been a Georgia resident for the past five years. He was a member of the International Asbestos Workers Union Local 60 in Miami, FL for twenty-five years. Michael was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Michael are his loving wife of thirteen years, Colleen Kohler Rush of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steven Flowers of Marble, NC., Robert and Linda Flowers of Orlando, FL, one daughter, Dana Graham of Knoxville, TN, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Pam Rush of West Palm Beach, David and Cindy Rush of Jupiter, FL, three Grandchildren, Kaley, Robert and Anthony Flowers, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Michael’s favorite hymns will be presented for the service. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Heart Assc. in Michael’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm.

SUZANNE K. LIMEHOUSE
Mrs. Suzanne Kessler Brumbaugh Henderson Limehouse, age 72, of Chestatee Drive, Blairsville, formerly of Gaffney, SC, and also of Perry, GA, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2006 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Limehouse was born on Feb. 24, 1934 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of the late Robert W. Kessler and the late Lillian M. Sensel Kessler. She had been a graphic and commercial artist, a professional dog handler, an FTD master florist, a past president of the South Carolina Florist Assn., a member of the High Country Artisans-Butternut Creek Festival. She had taught at the William Holland Lapidary School and at the John Campbell Folk School. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy P. Brumbaugh in 1983. Mrs.Limehouse was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Limehouse are her loving husband, James Limehouse of Blairsville, two sons, David Brumbaugh of Carabelle, FL, Chris Brumbaugh of Port St. Joe, FL, one daughter, Melissa Brumbaugh of Hiawassee, three step-daughters, Ellen Jarosz of FL, Celia Schoeneman of VA, Merry Gress of MS, one sister, Frances Cline of Wildwood, MO, four brothers, Mike Kessler of Montana, Pete Kessler of Gaffney, SC, John Kessler of WA, Bill Kessler of OH, grandchildren, Ariel and Ben Brumbaugh of Tucson, AZ, Kristy B. Webb of Seiverville, TN, Eric and Evan Brumbaugh of Port St. Joe, FL, two great-grandchildren, Bryan and Kelly Webb of TN, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Antioch Baptist church with the Rev. George Cline officiating. Special music will be presented by the Jubilee Choir. MARION ANN PRINGLE
Mrs. Marion Ann Pringle, age 94, of Blairsville, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2006 in the Blue Ridge Health Care Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Pringle was born on Nov. 2, 1911 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late James Clancy and the late Elizabeth Clancy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pringle in 1976 and by a son-in-law, Sam Ivey in 2005. Mrs.Pringle was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church.
Surviving Mrs. Pringle are one son, Richard Pringle of Clearlake, CA, one daughter, Charlene Ivey of Ellijay, GA, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. Interment will follow in Sun City, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mrs. Pringle’s memory.

ELIZABETH LULE EUBANKS
Mrs. Elizabeth Lule Bond Eubanks, age 90, of Moon Shadow View Ln., Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Eubanks was born on March 25, 1917 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late George Bond and the late Agnes Dressback Bond. She was Past President of Tony Valley Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, James Thomas Eubanks in 1997, mother and step father, Agnus and Homer Evans, and a grandchild, Pamela Eubanks. Mrs. Eubanks was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving Mrs. Eubanks are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Faye Eubanks of Blairsville, Fred and Ann Eubanks of Ormond Beach, FL, Gary and Audrey Eubanks of Cumming, GA, granddaughters, Robin Casey, Terri Eubanks and Angela Eubanks, grandsons, Mark and Ryan Eubanks, great-grandchildren, Colleen Casey, Declan Casey and Robyn Eubanks, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 12:00pm from the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with Chaplin Jerry Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Georgia Mountain Hospice in Mrs. Eubanks memory.

BRYAN CHARLES MALONE
Mr. Bryan Charles Malone, age 48, of Skeenah Gap Rd., Blairsville, formerly of Carson City, NV, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in the Emory Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Malone was born on April 25, 1959 in Anaheim, CA, the son of Wes Malone and Dixie Meyers Malone. He was a member of the Promise Keepers, The Men’s Group, Worked in Youth Ministries for many years, also worked at Missions in Los Angeles, CA. Bryan was a man of integrity who loved his family and loved helping his fellow man and serving God. He was truly loved forever missed. Bryan was a member of the Blairsville Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving Mr. Malone are his loving wife and lifelong sweetheart, Laurie Mossholder Malone of Blairsville, one daughter and son-in-law, Rochelle and Matthew Kronenberg of Gardenville, NV, mother, Dixie Malone of Brey, CA, father, Wes Malone of Carson City, NV, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tracey and Pat Milsop of Salton Sea, CA, Linda and Bill Gile of Whittier, CA, three step brothers, Kelly, Jeff and Steven O’Brien, one grandchild, Faith Nicole Kronenberg, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 3:00 pm from the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Yorbe Linda, CA, with the Rev. P. D. James officiating. ELIZABETH KING DAVIS
Mrs. Elizabeth King Davis, age 88, of Blairsville, formerly of Flat Creek Circle Blue Ridge where she lived for over thirty years, moving there from Miami, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on Oct. 6. 1918 in Winchester, KY, the daughter of the late Clay King and the late Francis Rawlins King.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jenson C. Davis and by a daughter, Dorothy Diane Davis in 1993.She volunteer’s as a Pink Lady at Fannin Regional Hospital for over twenty years. Mrs. Davis was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Mrs. Davis are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Norman and Eunice (June) Davis of Blairsville, James C. Davis of Atlanta, GA, one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Albert Perez of Arlington, TX, one brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Mary King of Hernando, FL, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Cline officiating. RANDALL MACK JOHN BEAVER
Mr. Randall Mack John Beaver, age 67, of Lake Cove Lodge Rd., Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Beaver was born on Dec. 21, 1939 in Union County, the son of the late Ernest Beaver and the late Vestie Thomas Beaver. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvie Odom and Inez MaGaha, two brothers, Press and Kermit Beaver. Mr. Beaver was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Beaver are his loving wife of forty-seven years, Mary (Maggie) Abernathy Beaver of Blairsville, three daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Charles Wright of Blairsville, Belinda and Mark Cash of Alburn, GA, Geraldine and Gregory Boyer of Port St. John, FL, one sister, Birdie Davenport of Morganton, one brother and sister-in-law, J. L. (Loys) and Carolyn Beaver of Blairsville, four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jonathan Head, Joni and Ed Carney, Vanessa Hilton, three great grandchildren, Katelyn, Reba and Zachary Carney, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 3:00 pm from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Rogers, Rev. Evan Hughes and Rev. Wayland Lovine officiating. Special music will be presented by the Heavenly Echoes. Mr. Beaver will lie in state at the church from 2-3pm prior to the service. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Terry, Tim, Brian and Chris Beaver, Kenny Chastain and Danny Davenport. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9pm.
