FAYE FRANSTEINE LANIER
Mrs. Faye Fransteine Lanier, age 66 of Tanyard Court Blairsville formerly of Vidalia, GA, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Lanier was born on Nov. 7, 1938 in Vidalia, GA, The daughter of the late Bennie Winge and the late Aileen Allen Winge. Mrs. Lanier was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs. Lanier are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Billy Griffin of Baxley, GA, Phillip and Garrien Lanier of Blairsville, one daughter, Kimberly Seeba of Jacksonville, FL, one brother, Bennie H. Winge of Jacksonville, FL, three sisters, Diane Mills, Darlene Thigpen and Jackie McCall all of Lyons, GA, five grandchildren, Ashtin, William II, Kimberly, Trevor and Amber, Four great-grandchildren, Adrian, Marty, Peggy and Priscilla, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Harmony Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Harmony Grove Baptist church or to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Lanier’s memory.

LAURA CHRISTINE PAYTON
Mrs. Laura Christian Payton, age 35 of Evan circle Blairsville formerly of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Payton was born on Aug. 14, 1970 in West Palm Beach. FL, The daughter of Douglas Alan Dowdy and Sara Adkins Dowdy. Laura battled Diabetes for twenty six years and after a Kidney and Pancreas transplant on Aug. 20, 1997 she gave birth to a son on Aug. 20, 1999 who was named after the doctor who performed the operation. She was employed as a Teacher with the Gilmer County Board of Education. Mrs. Payton was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Payton are her loving husband of seven years, Thomas Andrew Payton of Blairsville, one son, Zachary Burke Payton of Blairsville, Parents, Doug and Sara Dowdy of Blairsville, one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Dowdy of Blairsville, one sister, Susanne Dowdy of Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at 3:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Cline officiating. Special music will be provided by Patsy Davenport, Tammy Blassingame, Danita, Michael and Josh Kennedy. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Eric Dowdy, Earl Dowdy, Christopher Orsberg, Tim Grader, Steve Drake and Stanley Stepp. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, The family requests that memorials may be made to the Zachery Payton Education fund at United Community Bank.

WAYNE RICHARD HUNSICKER Sr.
Mr. Wayne Richard Hunsicker, age 66 of Mtn. View Rd. Murphy formerly of Blairsville passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005 in the Murphy Medical Center Nursing home following an extended illness. Mr. Hunsicker was born on March 26, 1939 in Allentown, PA., The son of the late Nathan Joseph Hunsicker and the late Eva Clara bell Shellhammer Hunsicker. Mr. Hunsicker was a veteran of the US Army. He was a PGA Pro member for over ten years and also was a Golf Pro Instructor. He also was owner/operator of an automobile dealership. Mr. Hunsicker was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Hunsicker are two daughters, Claire Hunsicker of Tarpon Springs, FL, GA, Lisa Ann Hunsicker Lawrenceville, one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Erin Walton of Locust Grove, GA, two sisters, Joanne Heckman of Calloway, NJ., Lavern Cowling of Bethleham, PA., ten Grandchildren, Three Great-Grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

ROBERT DEAR
Mr. Robert Dear, age 72 of Blairsville, GA, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Dear was born on March 27, 1933 in Red Bank, NJ., The son son of the late Herbert Dear and the late Helen Schoellner Dear (Cowden).
Surviving Mr. Dear are his loving wife, Hilary Dear of Blairsville, daughter, Lisa Dear of Blairsville, son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Linda Dear of Blairsville, Son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kristen Dear of Strafford, VT., daughter, Nancy Sutton of Sylacauga, AL., granddaughter, Katie Jo Dear of White River Junction, VT., and many other close and dear friends also survive.
A man of quiet dignity and grace, Bob always had a kind word, gentle counsel, helping hand and generous heart to all. He was well loved and respected and he will be missed greatly.

ROBERT FISHER SHIRER
Mr. Robert Fisher Shirer, age 73 of M & M Place Blairsville formerly of Atlanta passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2007 in the Kennestone Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Shirer was born on Feb. 3, 1934 in Allison, IA., the son of the late Clarence Albert Shirer and the late Alberta Johnson Shirer. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Korean War. He was a member of the Valley Nebraska Masonic Lodge F&AM, A Shriner, and a member of the Sunny Peaches Camping Club. Robert was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed hiking and camping. Mr. Shirer was a member of Providence Methodist Church.
Surviving Mr. Shirer are his loving wife of fifty one years, Mary Jo Harris Shirer of Blairsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Leigh Shire of Pensacola, FL, three daughters and one son-in-law, Melonie Jackson of Philadelphia, PA., Sheila and Jackie Johnson of Savannah, GA, Charlotte Shirer of Jacksonville, FL, Amy Shirer of Houston, TX., seven grandchildren, Jason and Justin Jackson, Jack and Jennifer Johnson Rachel, Ross and Robyn Shirer, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chuck Gillespie officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jason and Justin Jackson, Jack and Jackie Johnson, Ross Shirer and Chris Kenny. Interment will follow in the Providence Methodist Church Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or in lieu of donations may be made to the Providence Methodist Church building fund in Mr. Shirer’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9pm.

JOHN WESTON FULLERTON
Mr. John Weston Fullerton, age 63 of Blairsville formerly ofCarver, MA., passed away on Monday, June 18, 2007 following a brief illness. Mr. Fullerton was born on Feb. 14, 1944 in Brockton, MA., the son of the late Warren E. Fullerton and the late Mabel L.Milan Fullerton. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was preceded in death by a son, John W. Fullerton in 1997 and by a sister, Nan Fullerton. He was an avid hunter and loved animals. ohn has now found the Peace which he was always looking for. Mr. Fullerton was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth, MA.
Surviving Mr. Fullerton are one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Donald Paschal of Carver, MA., three sisters and brother in laws, Jo-Ann and Richard Jensen of Buzzards Bay, MA., Marcia and Joseph Scribner of Hanover, MA., Suzanne and George Hopp of Dellwood, PA., six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Jere and Joan Fullerton of Sandwich, MA., Warren E. III and Cori Fullerton of Howland, ME., Stephen Fullerton of Falmouth, MA., Peter and Patti Fullerton of Weymouth, MA., David and Eileen Fullerton of S. NORMAN EDWARD KIRSCH
Mr. Norman Edward Kirsch, age 91 of Alexander Drive Blairsville passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in the Clay County Care center following an extended illness. Mr. Kirsch was born on Sept. 19, 1915 in Campbell Hill, IL., the son of the late Edward H. Kirsch and the late Rosa Vogt Kirsch. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines. He was President of Rainbow Prison Ministry for over twenty two years. Mr. Kirsch was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church.
Surviving Mr. Kirsch are his loving wife Myra Flemming Kirsch of Blairsville, one son, Marvin Kirsch of Blairsville, nieces and nephews, Barbara and Bill Holly of Murraysville, PA., Loraine and Barry Conrad of York, PA., many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 1:00pm from the Holly Hill Cemetery with Dr. Phillip Meeks officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Rainbow Prison Ministries in Mr. Kirsch’s memory.

FLOY LOUISE BRADLEY
Mrs. Floy Lousie Bradley, age 95 of Pine Ridge Acres Blairsville formerly of Atlanta passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Bradley was born on Jan. 26, 1912 in Folkston, GA, the daughter of the late H. W. Anderson and the late Bessie Leigh Gibson Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. T. Bradley, Sr. and by her first husband, Allen Mobley. Mrs. Bradley was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of Atlanta.
Surviving Mrs.Bradley are one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Harry Howard of Blairsville, one brother and sister-in-law, Granvelee and Geraldine Anderson of Green Cove Springs, FL, two grandchildren, Richard Allen Howard of Powder Springs, GA, Terry Lynn and Husband Douglas Hagen of Taylors, SC., one great grandchild, Bradley Hagen, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

JOHN E. TOMLINSON Jr.
Mr. John E. Tomlinson, age 69 of Chatuge Circle Hiawassee passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Tomlinson was on May 29, 1936 in Brunswick, GA, the son of the late John E. Tomlinson Sr. and the late Bessie James Tomlinson. He graduated from Southern Technical College and retired after thirty four years as a Bridge Engineer for the Georgia State Department of Transportation. He lived for many years in College Park, GA, then retired and moved to the beautiful mountains in North Georgia, in Hiawassee on Lake Chatuge. He enjoyed bowling with several bowling leagues for several years in Blairsville and has many bowling friends. John loved his church at St. Francis of Assisi where he was a member, and also was an Usher and Eucharistic Minister.
Surviving Mr. Tomlinson are his loving wife of forty eight years, Pat Tomlinson of Hiawassee. Two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah Weatherly of Murphy, NC., Julie and Alan Keling of Hayesville, one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Gail Tomlinson of Miami. FL, one sister and brother in law, Shirley and Bill Seidel of Titusville, FL, five grandchildren, Teresa, Kevin, Rachael, Sarah and Brooke, several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 12:00 pm from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church with Father Richard Wise officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clare’s Columbarium. In lieu of flowers if you wish, The family requests that memorials may be made to Georgia Mountain Hospice, 70 Caring Way Jasper, GA 30143 in Mr. Tomlinson’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening after 6:30 pm.
