AILEEN W. McNULTY

Mrs. Aileen Wilson McNulty, age 74 Davie, FL, formerly of Blairsville passed away on Tuesday evening Aug. 23, 2005 after a long struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born to parents Hester and Irving Wilson in St. Petersburg, FL, on May 21, 1931, and married to Gerald R. McNulty on September of 1951.She is survived by her sister, Christine Ansell of Virginia, and by three loving children and their spouses: Kathy McNulty Webb and Alan, Theresa McNulty Morris and Fred all of Davie, FL, Patrick and Edna McNulty of Aniston, AL. She was the proud grandmother of Fred and Melissa Morris, Alan and Katie Webb, Danny and Shannon McNulty, and many nieces and nephews.

Aileen moved to Miami in 1961 when her husband”Jerry”became the news director at WPLG, Channel 10.She maintained many loving relationships with her family and friends from St. Petersburg, North Georgia, and church families at New Testament Baptist Church in Miami and the First Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA. She worked as a hair stylist in South Dade until Hurricane Andrew devastated her home in 1992.

Aileen was the victim of a shooting in 1982 which prompted her to devote her energies to victim’s rights causes. As a victim’s Advocate, she helped mobilze a grass-roots effort sponsored by the Honorable Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen to pass the first Victim’s Rights legislation in the state of Florida. She was present when Governor Robert Martinez signed the bill, and it became a model for legislation in other states.

In later years, she cared for her beloved husband”Jerry”while he struggled with ALS (Lou Gherig’s Disease). After his death, she enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren and friends as her own disease progressed. She will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother who is now at peace in Heaven with her beloved husband, her parents, and her Almighty Savior.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the First Baptist Church of Blairsville with Dr. Fred Locke officiating. Mrs. McNulty will lie in state at the church from 1-2 pm on Wednesday where the family will meet with friends. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, in Hiawassee. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Blairsville, PO Box 2058 Blairsville, ga.30514 in Mrs. McNulty’s memory.

ANNE H. STALFORT

Mrs. Anne H. Stalfort, age 55 of Deavers Rd. Blairsville passed away on Friday, August 26, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Stalfort was born on Aug. 19, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI., The daughter of the late John Hamer and the late Phyllis Crane Hamer. She had been employed with R Ranch in Dahlonega where she was an accountant. She was a veteran of the US Air force of the Vietnam War. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Stalfort. Mrs. Stalfort attended the Disciple Of Christ Church.

Surviving Mrs. Stalfort are two daughters and one son-in-law, Jennifer and Kevin Gillispie of Blairsville, Natalie Wheeler of Blairsville, Her Fiance, Lum Brown of Blairsville, Seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Benjamin and Victoria Adams all of Blairsville, Christine and Ashley Parce, Joseph and Andrew Brown all of Blairsville, Many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, The family requests that memorials may be made to the Union General Hospital Auxiliary in Mrs. Stalfort’s memory.

ROGER D. HORNE

Mr. Roger D. Horne, age 66 of My Way Rd. Blairsville formerly of Jupiter, FL. passed away on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Horne was born on Jan. 31, 1939 in West Palm Beach, FL, The son of the late Kenneth M. Horne and the late Alice Corrine Horne. Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Horne in 2003.He had retired from Pratt-Whitney Aerospace after thirty four years of service. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, A member of the VFW Post 7394, A member of the North Georgia Honor Guard, the Dooley Lodge #367 F&AM, A Past Commander and member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Payne Camp of Blairsville, and a member of the Union County Historical Society. Mr. Horne was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mr. Horne are two sons and daughters in laws, Rick and Donna Horne of Dallas, GA, Wayne and Dana Horne of Lithonia, GA, Three brothers, Kenneth Horne Jr. of Dallas, TX., Wilson R. Horne and Neil A. Horne both of Jupiter, FL, two sisters, Ramona Stark of Hobe Sound, FL, Vera Brooker of Vero Beach, FL, five grandchildren, Russell, Kenneth, Collin, Alex and Kristin Horne, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 at 11:00 am from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy McIntyre officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be member of the North GA Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Pine Top Baptist church cemetery with the North GA Honor Guard conducting military honors.

ANDREW (JOHN) AYLOR Jr.

Mr. Andrew Jackson (Better known as John) Aylor Jr., age 78 of Pleasant Valley Rd. Blairsville, formerly of Covington, GA, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2005 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Aylor was born on oct.19, 1926 in Burley, ID., the son of the late Andrew Aylor Sr. and the late Viva Mae Decker Aylor. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Aylor in 2005.He retired in 1982 from AT&T with over thirty six years of service. He was a veteran of the Navy-Air Force of WWII and the Korean Wars. Mr. Aylor attended the Blairsville Church of Christ.

Surviving Mr. Aylor are his loving wife of fifty six years, Janeen Bell Aylor of Blairsville, one daughter, Janice Aylor of Covington, GA, one son, William (Bill) Aylor of Blairsville, one sister, Lera Bruce of Jerome, I D., many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 from the Blairsville Church of Christ with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. The family will meet with friends at the church on Sunday from 2-3 pm. In lieu of flowers if you wish, The family requests that memorials may be made to the Blairsville Church of Christ in Mr. Aylor’s memory.

SERGIO PITA

Mr. Sergio Pita, age 68 of Blairsville passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Georgia Lions Eye Bank in Mr. Pita’s memory.

ROGER CLARK PARMER

Mr. Roger Clark Parmer, age 66 of Sunset Drive E. Young Harris passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Parmer was born on May 24, 1940 in Lagrange, GA, the son of the late Henry Parmer and the late Pearl Prestridge Parmer. Mr. Parmer was a Teacher and had taught at Young Harris College from 1985-1992, and also had taught at Plano E. Sr. High. He retired in 2005.He was always easy going and always had a smile on his face. Roger was a loving husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Parmer attended Sharp Memorial United Methodist church.

Surviving Mr. Parmer are his loving wife of forty five years, Janice Hubbard Parmer of Young Harris, one sister and brother in law, Aillen and Bill Stephenson of Lithonia, GA, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 2:00pm from the Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Kay officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Sharp Memorial church in Mr. Parmer’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-9pm.

BECKY ANN MOOSE

Mrs. Becky Ann Collins Moose, age 59 of Pat Colwell Rd., Blairsville passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Moose was born on Aug. 7, 1947 in Lakeland, FL, the daughter of the late C. R. Collins and the late Laverne Cheshire Collins. Mrs. Moose was a Teacher, and had taught at the Union County Middle School for over twenty years. Mrs. Moose was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Moose are her husband, Garland Moose of Suches, one daughter, Carrie Dotson of Blairsville, two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Jamie Moose of Blairsville, Robby and Amy Moose of Blairsville, thirteen grandchildren, Clay and Brad McConnell, Dalton, Courtney and Evan Moose, Jake Cothren, Bobby, Isaak, Maya and Maysa Moose, Sabrina Mauck, Samantha Criswell and Whitney Dotson, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 2:00pm from the Choestoe Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Paris and Rev. Ken Zollinger officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Coy Dockery, Shannon Carroll, Rodney Moose, Robby Moose, Garth Moose, Dwayne Moose and Steven Moose. Interment will follow in the Choestoe Baptist Church cemetery.

HAROLD IRWIN FRIZZELL

Mr. Harold Irwin Frizzell, age 83 of Spring Cove Ln. Young Harris passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Frizzell was born on Sept. 19, 1923 in Centerville, OH., the son of the late Irwin Frizzell and the late Cora Hazel Rosell Frizzell. He was a veteran of the US Air Force of WWII. He had retired in 1985 from the Nationwide Insurance Company. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Frizzell was an active member of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Frizzell are his loving wife of twenty four years, Margaret Price Frizzell of Young Harris, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Dawn Frizzell, one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Dave Archdeacon, grandchildren, Shannon Crone, Alison Frizzell, Tracy Barnhart, Erin Eve, great-grandchildren, Peyton Eve, Gracie Eve, Garrett Barnhart, all of Miamisburg, OH, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held in Ohio at a later date. The family requests to omit flowers and make contributions to the "Bill Chenault Bus Fund"% Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, Po box 66 Young Harris, GA 30582 in Mr. Frizzell’s memory.

JUNE EILEEN LANCE

Mrs. June Eileen Lance, age 77 of Loving Rd. Morganton, GA (Union County), passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Jasper, GA, following injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs. Lance was born on June 24, 1929 in Carrick-On-Seiuer Ireland, The daughter of the late John Daly and the late Helena Ryan Daly. Eileen was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and especially her many flowers. Mrs. Lance was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mrs. Lance are her loving husband of fifty nine years, Vernon Hugh (Hugo) Lance of Morganton, one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Judy Lance of Copperhill, TN., one sister and brother in law, Ann and Alex Richardson of Ireland, three sisters-in-law, Lea Daly of Australia, Maude Deweese of Mineral Bluff, GA, Opal Poteete of Smyrna, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hubert Legg officiating. Special music will be presented by Harold Lee. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Lewis Deweese, Ronnie Deweese, Johnny Glore, Grady Williams, John Little and Jeffery Holden. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Matthew and Adam Dockery. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
