Eric P. Ulrich
Eric P. Ulrich, 40, of Peachtree City, GA diedon Thursday October 26.
Eric is survived by Nicolette (Nici), his 6 ½ year old daughter who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his beloved fiancé, Ling Zhang, his parents Eric and Audrey Ulrich of Leesport PA, his grandmother Ruth Speicher of Robesonia PA, his sister and brother-in-law Kim and Jim Pirtle with niece and nephew Beth and Clayton of Mechanicsburg PA, his brother and sister-in-law John and Marchellina Ulrich with niece Flora of NC, aunts and uncles, cousins and countless friends from GA and across the country.
Eric loved his amazing fiancé Ling and was to be marriedin the spring of 2007. His daughter Nici was the center of Eric’s life – she is a princess – complete with many trips to Disney World, camping, beach, involved in her school activities, teaching her how to ride a 2-wheeler, brushing her hair every day.
Eric (also known as Zahn) graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School (Leesport PA) where he made life-long friends. Eric attended Penn State, and then transferred and graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) with a BA of Business Administration and also from Tulane with a master’s degree in Business Administration.
He was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at NCR Corporation in Atlanta GA. Eric loved life, loved to laugh, had a quick wit with a twisted and constant sense of humor that made all of us love him.
He was a mountain biker (never taking the easy routes), kayaked, hiked, camped, played on several volleyball teams (with a nickname of ‘Ichy’), was a downhill skier, traveled frequently, loved the beach, dived for lobsters each year and was always up for an energetic adventure of any kind.
Eric loved Peachtree City, the neighbors and community who supported him and his daughter. He was a true friend to many people -- keeping in touch, traveling to meet them, going to dinners, coordinating fantasy football leagues, and generally just bringing joy to so many lives.
A celebration of his life service will be held at 3:00 PM Tue Oct 31 at the Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Drive (right off Hwy 74 N) and an additional memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania during Thanksgiving week.
