She was preceded in death by her brother Wade Darnell, Jr. and her sister Thelma Bishop.
She is survived by her daughter Gigi Mihalik of Fayetteville; son David & Margot Davis of Fayetteville, grandsons Travis Mihalik and Rhett Davis, step-granddaughters Brittany Kesterson and Nicole Kesterson; sisters Martha Matthews, Helen Banks, Beckie Heidle, and Sadie Egan; brothers Roger Darnell and Walter Darnell.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church (Highway 314 in Riverdale, GA).
Dr. Randy Wood will officiate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Liberty Baptist Church.

William Cuthbert McDougal, Jr., age 89, of Stockbridge, diedJuly 10, 2008 in Nashville, TN.
He was bornDecember 31, 1918 in Carrollton, MS to the late William Cuthbert and Isabel Caldwell McDougal.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Marion Majet McDougal.
He attended public schools in Greenwood, MS and Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA.
Upon completing his education, he joined Douglas Aircraft Company in Los Angeles, CA.
At the outbreak of World War II, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving his country in New Guinea, the Philippines, and Japan.
In 1946, he joined C&S Airlines, working in his hometown of Greenwood and later Chicago.
He joined Delta Air Lines upon their acquisition of C & S and subsequently moved his family to the Atlanta area, settling in East Point and later in Fayetteville.
He remained with Delta for 36 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Delta Pioneers, Clan MacDougall Society, former Flat Creek Club Member, former Elks Club Member and former member of the Modernaires.
He is survived by two daughters, Lane McDougal of Atlanta, Marion “Kookie” McDougal Liles (Malcolm H.) of Nashville, TN; son, William Cuthbert McDougal III of East Point and four grandsons.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 am at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville, GA.

Ruth Rebecca Jones
Mrs. Ruth Rebecca Jones of Fayetteville passed away on July 9, 2008 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of the East Point Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, F. Wayne Jones and his wife Teresa C. Jones and grandson, Michael Jones, all of Fayetteville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 12, 2008 in the chapel of C.J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel with Reverend Al Busby officiating.
iIntermentwill take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mary Lou Flemister, 97, of Fayetteville diedJuly 10, 2008.
She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by husband Fielding McGhee Flemister, Sr, daughter JoAnn Gaylor, brother Horace K. Treadwell, sister Ruth Ross, and sister Doris Treadwell.
Mrs. Flemister is survived by son Fielding McGhee Flemister, Jr; daughter Mary Evelyn and Virgil Merritt Jr; son-in-law Louis Gaylor; grandchildren Fielding McGhee Flemister III, Julie Ann Thomas, Kathy Lynn Jones, Michael Louis Gaylor, Pamela Sue Dolden, Virgil Thurston Merritt, Susan Diane Knight, and Brian Keith Merritt; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

William E. Bacon

Mr. William E. Bacon, 79, of Jacksonville, FL, Formerly of Peachtree City, passed away July 7, 2008.
Mr. Bacon was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the United States Marine Corps.
He was a graduate of the Southern College of Pharmacy at Mercer University.
He opened Peachtree City Pharmacy in the early 1980’s and retired from Kroger Pharmacy 4 years ago.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the Peachtree City First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dot” Bacon; daughter, Karyl and Rick Squibb, son, Darrell Bacon; grandchildren, Ashley Squibb, Kristyn Squibb, Shayne Bacon.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 11 at 2 PM in the chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Webber officiating.

He was preceded in death by his father Felder Smith.
He is survived by his wife Joan E. Smith of Peachtree City; daughters Julie (Jeff) Hocutt of Ft. White, FL and Jill (Jeff) Hunter of Johns Creek; grandchildren Jeramiah and Jaylynne Hocutt of Ft. White and Ashley and Jake Hunter of Johns Creek; mother Bea Smith of Warner Robbins and sister Linda (Rick) Endler of Aikens, NC.
