Paul Wayne Perkins, 29, of Atlanta Street, Barnesville, diedWednesday, Sept. 13, 2000 at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston.
A Spalding County native, Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his grandparents Mamie and Cecil Perkins and Leon and Jewell Jackson. He was a supervisor at Southern Textile.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Pat and Mike Sullivan of Griffin; father and stepmother, Fred and Rita Perkins of Griffin; two sisters, Heather Bunn and Crystal Sullivan, both of Griffin; a brother, Cody Sullivan of Griffin; three stepsisters, Cathy Peters, Nickey Sullivan and Christina Bell; a stepbrother, Michael Sullivan; and a nephew, Daniel Bunn.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 16 at McCullough Funeral Home in Griffin. Rev. Mike Oliver officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lewis A. Reagan
Lewis A. Reagan, 75, of Genny Lane, Griffin, diedWednesday, Sept. 13, 2000 at his residence.
A native of Porterdale, Mr. Reagan was the son of the late Elex Steven and Edna Bell Turner. He was a painter for Moore Chevrolet in Barnesville.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Reagan and Lewis Randall Reagan Sr., both of Griffin; two brothers, Buck Reagan of Griffin and Barton Reagan of Americus; a sister, Betty Ruth Reagan of Americus; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, Sept. 15 in Haisten-Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Gibson officiated. Burial was private.
Jean Fowler Stallings
Jean Fowler Stallings, 73, of Kendall Road, Yatesville diedSaturday, Sept. 16, 2000 at Providence Health Care in Thomaston.
A Yatesville native, Mrs. Stallings was bornSept. 14, 1927 to the late William C. and Ethel Corley Fowler. She was a retired textile inspector with the William Carter Company and was a member of Yatesville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Terry McLendon of Jonesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Lettie Stallings of Yatesville; two sisters, Sallie Tripp and Thelma Stallings, both of Yatesville; and two grandchildren, Craig McLendon and Jennifer McLendon, both of Jonesboro.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 18 at Yatesville Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Maguire and Louis Lashley officiated. Burial was in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville.
Memorials may be made to Yatesville Baptist Church.

Doris Huckaby Barksdale
Doris Huckaby Barksdale, 76, of Zebulon Road, Milner, diedTuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Barksdale was bornFeb. 24, 1924 to the late Emmett W. Huckaby and was the widow of Herman Barksdale, who diedin 1984. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 0015 and Bethel Baptist Church, and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5448 and the National Children's Home.
Survivors include her mother, Lila Mae Gresham Huckaby Henderson; and several cousins and friends.
Services were held Thursday, Dec. 28 at McCullough Funeral Home in Griffin. Revs. Keith Ford and Franklin Gibson officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
Roumania Corley
Roumania Corley, 92, of Greenwood St., Barnesville, diedWednesday, Dec. 27, 2000 at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin after a short illness.
A Pike County native, Mrs. Corley was the daughter of the late James and Millie Taylor Bankston. She worked for the William Carter Company until her retirement and lived in Barnesville for the past 68 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, J.C. Corley and Kenneth Corley, both of Barnesville, and Donald Corley of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Kathryn McCain of Griffin; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 at Haisten-Martin Funeral Home in Barnesville. Rev. Franklin Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
William Cullen Edge
William Cullen Edge, 74, of McDonough diedFriday, Dec. 22, 2000 at his residence.
A Forsyth native, Mr. Edge was bornJuly 23, 1926 to the late William George and Gertrude Florence Mask Edge. He was retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service and was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Bettina M. Edge of Barnesville; son, Christopher Cullen Edge of Barnesville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Jean Leagan of McDonough; and two grandchildren, Matthew William Caudell and Rachel Lynettee Coleman, both of Barnesville.
Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Rev. Jeffrey Morgan officiated.
Gary Cooper Jones
Gary Cooper Jones, 61, of Burnette Road, Barnesville diedSunday, Dec. 24, 2000 at Upson Regional Hospital in Thomaston.
Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was deacon and president of the Brotherhood. He was a member of the Barnesville Lions Club and was a director of Jail Ministries. He was retired from Dixie Pipeline where he was a safety and training supervisor.
Survivors include his wife Bobbie Jean Lawhorn Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, William Terry and Jennifer Jones of Austell; a daughter and son-in-law, April and Tim Kring of Suwanee; two brothers, Terry Jones of Birmingham, Ala., and Michael Jones of Griffin; and four grandchildren, Emily Kate Jones, 7, William Isaac Jones, 3, Garrett Dean Kring, 5, and Timothy Jasper Kring, 1.
Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Barnesville First Baptist Church. Rev. Garth Forster officiated. Burial was in Lamar Memory Gardens.

Ed Jackmell Keadle
Ed Jackmell "Jack" Keadle, 76, of Ingleside Drive, Albany, diedFriday, Dec. 22, 2000 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A Lamar County native, Mr. Keadle was bornMarch 4, 1924. The retired owner/operator of Burton's Shoes, he had lived in Albany since 1955. He was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Civitan Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Watkins.
Survivors include two daughters, H. Lynn Dearborn of Springfield, Mo., and Jackie Bankston of Moultrie; a brother, Kenneth Keadle of Warner Robins; four sisters, Annie Bess Nelson of Warner Robins, Montine Sorrell of Macon, Janelle Collins of Americus and Dorothy Dean Coursey of Peachtree City; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Matthews Funeral Home in Albany. Burial was in Fredonia Church Cemetery in Barnesville. Revs. Tim Steffen and Franklin Gibson officiated.
