Juaquina Selena Perez, the infant daughter of Manuel and Cristy R. Perez of Iron City, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Donalsonville Hospital.
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home Saturday, May 31, at 3:00 p.m.
Survivors also include the maternal grandparents, Sandra and Juventino Ramirez, Iron City; paternal grandparents, Miquel Perez, Mexico, and Silbia Onate Perez, Mexico; and several aunts and uncles.

ROBERT DESJARDINS
Mr. Robert Desjardins, age 59, of Donalsonville, formerly of Sanford, Maine, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Desjardins was born September 20, 1943, in York County, ME. He was a general contractor and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a member of the American Legion and Lions Club.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Desjardins, Biddeford, Maine; three sons, Robert Desjardins, Great Falls, MO, Richard Desjardins, Sanford, MN, and Ralph Desjardins, Biddeford, MN; two brothers, Don Desjardins, Donalsonville, and Orel Desjardins, TX; one sister, Debbie Carmel, Wells, MN; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Charles L. Blow
A memorial service celebrating the life of Charles L. Blow, Sr. of Thomasville was held at 3:00PM on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Blow died May 29, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born December 24, 1924 in Thomasville he was the son of the late George W., Sr. and Susie Sangster Blow. On June 8, 1943 in Thomasville he married Thelma Dekle Blow who survives. Mr. Blow was a clerk for Seaboard Coastline. He was a member of Dawson St. Baptist Church, Big Bend Air Stream Club, Glen Arven County Club and Thomasville Lions Club. WOODROW WILSON "WOODY" PITTS
We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Pitts, age 78, of Donalsonville, who passed away Saturday May 31, 2003.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, 2003 at 4:00p.m. at the Nazarene Church with the Rev. Steve Hood officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bascom, FL.
Mr. Pitts was born April 30, 1925 in Geneva Co., AL to the late Grady and Lizzie Baker Pitts. He attended Geneva Co. schools. He was married to Mittie Lee Phillips on Jan 29, 1949. They have lived in Seminole County for the past 47 years. Mr. Pitts was a veteran of the United States Navy and attended the Nazarene Church. He had worked as a welder for Youmans Machine Shop and in maintenance at Beall Peanut Company.
He leave to cherish his memory a loving wife of 54 years, Mittie Lee Phillips Pitts of Donalsonville; 2 sons: Dural Pitts and Gina of Donalsonville and Scotty Pitts and Donna of Iron City; and 1 brother: William Joseph (Bill) Pitts of Ft. Myers, FL. Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by a sister, Lorine Pritchett.
Pallbearers were: Charles Adams, Michael Adams, Ronnie Adams, Steve Adams, Ricky Phillips, and Randy Phillips.

JOHNNY FOREST MIDDLETON
Mr. Johnny Forest Middleton, age 65, of Blakely, passed away Thursday May 29, 2003 at his residence in Blakely.
Funeral services were held Saturday May 31, 2003 at 3:00p.m. at the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Elder W.H. Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Blakely Cemetery.
Mr. Middleton was born March 5, 1938 in Miller County to the late Forest and Eula Bundy Middleton. He lived most of his life in Early County. He was retired from Middleton Memorial and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Rachel Alexander Middleton, of Blakely; a daughter, Terrie Smith, of Blakely; 3 sons, James Middleton, of Blakely, John Middleton, of Donalsonville, and Gene Middleton, of Blakely.
Pallbearers were: Wayne Middleton, Will Middleton, Larry Middleton, William Bundy, Hamilton Hilburn, and Bernard Peavy.

PEARL WILLIAMS
Mrs. Pearl Williams aged 99, of Colquitt died Monday, May 26, 2003, at Miller County Hospital. Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Miller Nursing Home for the past two years.
Born Ida Pearl Chambers, she was the third of ten children born to George and Iona Chambers of Miller County. She married Byron B. Williams, also of Miller County, in 1919 and the couple along with their two eldest children, Lucile and Byron, moved to Panama City, FL in 1926. She bore her youngest child, Nan in Panama City. Following the death of her husband in1966, she moved back to Colquitt.
Ms. Pearl was loved by all who knew her, especially the children. She was a selfless, generous, and caring person with a tireless determination when it came to helping those in need. She was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. She will be sorely missed.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of the Colquitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Mitchell and the Rev. Matt Stuart officiating. Interment followed in Colquitt City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Daniel Rodgers, Ray Carrion, Alan Rodgers, Glen Rodgers, Randy Williams and Ben Williams.
She was preceded in death by Byron Williams Jr., her husband of 47 years, her nine brothers and sisters Ed, Fred, Wyatt, Lena, Kate, George, Dess, Bill (Chambers) and her half brother John Newberry, her daughter Lucile Rodgers and her son Byron Williams.
She is survived by her daughter Nan DeFoor, her grand children, Ben Williams, Donna Carrion, Randy Williams, Alan Rodgers, and Glen Rodgers, her great-grandchildren Daniel Rodgers, Kristie Carrion, Brian Rodgers, Nancy Carrion, Luke Williams and Morgan Williams, and her great-great-grand child, Daniel Rodgers Jr.

COL.(Ret) H.B. HATCHER
We regret to announce the passing of Col. H.B. Hatcher, age 85, of Dothan, AL Col. Hatcher passed away Tuesday June 17th at his residence.
Col. Hatcher was born April 23, 1918 in Brinson. He graduated from Brinson High School. He also graduated Magna Cum Laud at Troy State University. He traveled extensively throughout his nearly three decades of service to the United States Army. Col. Hatcher taught the "Hatcher" Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church of Dothan, AL for 25 years and was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church of Dothan, AL at the time of his death. Col. Hatcher was raised as a Master Mason and celebrated 50 years as a Mason. A Past Master of both Seminole Lodge 83 and Salem Lodge 267, Donalsonville, he was Past District Deputy to the Grand Master for the state of Georgia and an Emmeritus Mason. He lived The Life of a Mason.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 20 at 1:00p.m. in Byrd Funeral Home Chapel, Dothan, AL with the Rev. John Christy officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Brinson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Morgan, Herbert Morgan, Waymon H. Hatcher Jr. Marvin W. Hatcher Jr., Arthur Basford, and Gene Dunlap.
Col. Hatcher is survived by his present wife, Inez Stephenson Hatcher; 2 daughters, Anne Childers and Mary Elizabeth Hatcher, both of Wilmington, NC; a son, James Lamar "Mark" Hatcher, of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Carson N. Hatcher, of Bainbridge; a sister, Gertrude Muller, of Marianna, FL; 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Brackin Hatcher.

MELVIN HENRY BUNDY
Mr. Melvin Henry Bundy, age 91, of Blakely, passed on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Early Memorial Nursing Home.
Born May 13, 1912 in Clay County, Mr. Bundy was of the Baptist faith and a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 20, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Parish Myers, Rev. Sterling Jones, and Donna Cannon officiating. Interment follows in Roberts Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Collier, Earl Middleton, Wayne Goocher, Sterling Jones, Hamilton Hilburn and Buddy Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Early Memorial Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Eloise Cook, of Colquitt, and Mary Frances Brookins, of Milledgeville; 1 son, William "Billy" Bundy, of Colquitt; 1 brother, Joe Bundy, of Greensboro, FL; 2 sisters, Julia Gay, of Colquitt, and Beulah McCorkle, of Blakely.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hortense Bundy.

NERVIA MAE GRIMSLEY DENNIS
Mrs. Nervia Mae Grimsley Dennis, age 75, of Newark, NJ, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003.
Mrs. Dennis was born July 6, 1928, in Colquitt. She was educated in the Miller County School System. Nervia shared her life with many children. She was known as “Big Ma” throughout the block on South Eleventh Street.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, at 12:00 noon at Perry Funeral Home Chapel in Newark, NJ, with the Rev. Lloyd Preston Terrell officiating. Interment followed in Fairmount Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Delores Snell, James Dennis, Colquitt, Barbara Carr, Patricia Dennis, Renee Mims and Leona Conte, all of Newark, NJ; her adopted sons, Jamar Dennis, Jahad Dennis and Edward Dennis; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Sally Dennis; three sisters-in-law, Lucy Dennis, Evelyn Ruth, and Annie Carol; one brother-in-law, Robert Ruth; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Helem Bush and Jewel Blakely.

ELMA MARTIN PHILLIPS
Elma Martin Phillips, age 91, of 633 Owens Mill Road, Gretna, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Mrs. Phillips was born October 12, 1911, in Orlando, FL. She was the daughter of the late Montgomery Martin and Mildred Drawdy Martin. She was the co-owner of Lake Fairview Nursery, a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, a member of the Sorosis Club and a member of the Soroptorris Club.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 27, at Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Phillips officiating. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 29, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, FL.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Phillips, Orlando, FL, and Gary Phillips, Gretna; one daughter, Judy Topelski, Bowling Rock, NC; one sister, Louise Mills, Pasadena, MD; a sister-in-law, Lois Holt, Colquitt; brother-in-law and wife, Johnny and Sue Phillips, Damascus; sister-in-law and husband, Kermit and Doris Chandler, Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Louise Hammond, Zellwood, FL; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

SUSIE VIRGINIA ATKINSON RIDLEHOOVER
Mrs. Susie Virginia Atkinson Ridlehoover, age 82, of Donalsonville died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Ridlehoover was born September 15, 1920, in Seminole County to the late Walter C. Atkinson Sr. and Emma Kate Free Atkinson. She attended Seminole County Schools. She was married to Herbert Ridlehoover on September 27, 1941. She was a member of Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at 4: 30 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Merritt and the Rev. Zack Worsham officiating. Interment followed in the Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Jones, Ronnie Miller, Roger Atkinson, Tommy Atkinson, Tony Atkinson and Gary Cypert.
Survivors include a son, Joe Ridlehoover and wife, Lucia Ann, Iron City; two daughters, Sandra Ausley and husband, Bobby, Iron City, and Linda Adams and husband, Billy, Donalsonville; two brothers, Walter C. Atkinson, Jr., Donalsonville, and Luther Atkinson, Brooks; two sisters, Nancy Jones and Pam Miller, Donalsonville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ridlehoover; a granddaughter, Angie Burchp; and a great-grandson, Kyle Ridlehoover.

GERALD "PETE" WARREN
Gerald "Pete" Warren, 64, of Colquitt, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at his home on the Old Albany Road.
Pete was born September 10, 1938, in Miller County to the late Curtis and Louise Warren. He was retired from Keenan's Auto Parts and farming. He was a bus driver for Miller County School system. He was a vital part of Kiddie Kollege school. He was a member of the Colquitt Freewill Baptist Church.
Pete is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Warren; one son and daughter-in law, Philip and Selena Warren; one daughter, Renee' Rouse of Austin, Texas; Five grandchildren, Benjamin, Hunter and David Rouse of Austin, Texas, Kaitlin and Jake Warren of Colquitt and one brother, Harry Warren of Colquitt.
Visitation will be Monday, June 9, at Colquitt Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. at Colquitt Freewill Baptist Church.Interment will follow at the Colquitt City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steve Holt, Charles Jordan, Wallace Reagan, Clyde Jinks Jr., David Ferguson and Robert Tully. Honorary pallbearers were Miller County school bus drivers.
DONALD TRACY OZMORE
A memorial service was held Monday, June 2, 2003, at White's Funeral Home in Azle, TX, for Donald Tracy Ozmore. Mr. Ozmore died in the Ft. Worth Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX, on Thursday, May 29, 2003.
Donald was born in Miller County on November 10, 1938, to Raymond Leon and Freddie Lou Carter Haire Ozmore. He joined the United States Navy in 1956 and retired in 1976. He worked with American Airlines in Ft. Worth, TX, until he retired again in 1995 for health reasons.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ozmore; three brothers, Keith, Raymond, and Leon Ozmore; a son, Donald Ozmore, Jr. and wife, Kia, of Virginia Beach, VA; three dauhters, Deborah Davis, Norfolk, VA, Lecia Moxley and husband, David, Hinesville, Gina Overman and husband, Andrew, Lexington, VA; three step-children, Linda Flynt Jogray and husband, Wayne, Hurst, TX, Searle Flynt and wife, Patti, North Richland Hills, TX, Charlie Flynt and wife, Jeanette, Kingsville, TX; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Reid Haire of Colquitt.
