PAUL HARRELL
Mr. Paul Harrell, age 71, of Bainbridge died November 5, 2003, in Bainbridge.
Mr. Harrell was born December 4, 1931 to Louis Hiram Harrell and Ellie Mae Brock Harrell in Mitchell Co., and was a member of the Delwood Baptist Church in Bainbridge. He worked as a Machinist with Amoco, Miller Hydro and was a insurance agent with Life of GA & Independence Life Ins.
Mr. Jones residence was Decatur Co. for most of his life.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 7, 2003 at First Church of God, in Bainbridge, with the Rev. Donna Bevels and Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Interment followed at Whigham Cemetery, in Whigham.
Pallbearers were Ed Deal, Robert Lomineck, Michael Cutchens, Treavor Pollock, Uttam Rai, Miles Donalson, Roger Hardy and Donald Hardy. Honorary pallbearers were Michele Brossett, Melissa Anderson, Stephen Christopher Jory, Abigail Faith Anderson, Marvin Pyles, Jimmy Gainey, Joe Brown.
Mr. Harrell leaves behind a loving wife, Marjorie Jane Pyles Harrell, of Bainbridge; two daughters, Paula Pollock, Bainbridge and Cathy Simpson, Bainbridge; a sister, Ruby Gainey, of Crawfordville, FL.; 3 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild

W.C. RUSHING
We regret to announce the passing of W.C. Rushing, age 91, of Donalsonville, who passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at his residence in Donalsonville.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 6, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville with Rev. Luther Hastey and Dr. on McCaskill officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Visitation was held Wednesday, November 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mr. Rushing was born July 4, 1912 in Lakeland to the late Joseph and Virginia Buckhalter Rushing. He graduated from high school in Lanier County and then went to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a degree in agriculture.
He married Jean Martin on August 23, 1940. He was involved in various endeavors over the years. He taught school at FDR for awhile and he was the county agent in Seminole County from 1942-1946. He was active in teaching farming practices to the War Veterans. In October 1956, he opened Rushing Oil Company which he and his family still own and operate today. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was named Deacon Emeritus on August 3, 2002 for having served faithfully as a deacon of First Baptist Church for 36 years. He was also a member of the Georgia Association of Petroleum Retailers.
Mr. Rushing leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 63 years, Jean Rushing of Donalsonville and a daughter, Anne Trawick and her husband Dee of Iron City. One sister, Kathleen Vickers of Douglas, and two grandson; Trey Trawick and his wife Amy and Rusty Trawick and his wife Leslie all of Iron City, and two great granddaughters; Taylor and Sydney Trawick also survive.
Pallbearers were: John Moseley, Ted Shingler, Keith Trawich, Troy Sheffield, See Broome, and John Quincy Adams, II. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
JAMES MCARTHUR GORDON
Mr. James McArthur Gordon, age 61 of Cleveland, died Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Gordon was born in Miller County, the son of the late James and Edna Merritt Gordon. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Gordon and grandson, Christopher Gordon. Mr. Gordon was of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Gordon of Cleveland; sons, Ray Gordon of Cleveland, Allen Gordon of Milledgeville, Michael Gordon of Gainesville, Don Gordon of Sautee; daughter, Becky Elarn of Gainesville; sister, Pearlee Drake of Valdosta; brother, Lester Gordon; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Mount Olive Holiness Church in Colquitt. The Rev. Ruel Martin will officiate. Internment will follow in the Gordon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

HENRY ARCHIE HARBIN, SR.
We regret to announce the passing of Henry Archie Harbin, Sr., age 99, of Colquitt, who passed away November 1, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services were held at the Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Monday, November 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Talmadge Worsley, Rev. Byron Harbin and Rev. John Stephens officiating. Interment followed in Houston Cemetery.
Mr. Harbin was born January 27, 1904 in Tusculoosa, AL. He was married to Anna B. Harbin, who died in 1996. He was a retired Insurance Agent and a member of the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons: Billy Harbin of Decatur, Archie Harbin, Jr. of Colquitt, Edward Houston of Lumber City; three daughters: Naida Hewett of Sharpsburg, Dorothy Casey of Lithia Springs and Elizabeth Lane of Bainbridge; one grandson, Henry Archie Harbin III of Colquitt; one great-grandson, Hank Harbin IV of Colquitt.
Pallbearers were Amos George, Harold Houston, Herman Pickle, Steve Taylor, Jim Warren and Scott Warren.

JERRY FOWLER BUSH
We regret to announce the passing of Jerry Fowler Bush, age 56, of Blakely, who passed away October 31, 2003, at Early Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home on Sunday, November 2, 2003 at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Jimmy Love and Rev. Peter Dobic officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery, in Early County.
Pallbearers were JoJo Smith, Jamie Bush, Josh Bush, Donnie Talley, Ronnie Murkerson, Paul Garrod, Rickey Love and David Love.
Mr. Bush was born November 19, 1946 in Seminole County to the late Allie Bush and Gladys Bell Bush. He was married to Molly Ann Love Bush of Blakely. He was a general contractor and was a member of the Assembly of God Faith church. He lived the past 14 years in Blakely.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son: Robert Alexander Bush of Blakely; two daughters: Lenora Jackson of Colquitt and Kim Pruitt of Bainbridge; two brothers: John Bush of Taylor, AL and Sidney Bush of Albany; one sister: Dorothy Kate Smith of Clarksville, TN and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister: Margene Bush.

MARY ELLEN HURT
Mrs. Mary Ellen Hurt, age 63, of Bainbridge, died Nov. 11, 2003, at her residence in Bainbridge.
Funeral services were held Friday November 14, 2003 at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge, Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. Interment followed in Oak City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Haire, Quinton Haire, Chuck Maloy, Randal Kennedy, Joey Ingram and Larry Gay.
Mrs. Hurt was born April 7, 1940, in Ozark, AL to the Martha Brooks Rogers of Bainbridge and the late Thelton David Rogers. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was seamstress for Dickies for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Hurt Jr.
Survivors include three sons; Edward W. Hurt III of Mobile, AL, Christopher R. Hurt of Cordele, Gregory B. Hurt of Bainbridge; one daughter; Mia Michelle Campbell of Seale, AL; three brothers; Harvey Rogers of Bainbridge, Roy Rogers of Donalsonville, Rex Rogers of Griffin; two sisters; Thelma Haire of Albany and Juanita Ingram of Griffin; 12 Grandchildren.

LULA SARAH MCRAE COLLIER
Mrs. Lula Sarah McRae Collier, age 90, of McDonough, Georgia, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at the Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson, Georgia.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 5, at Tara Garden's Chapel in Jonesboro, with Pastor Ralph Harrelson, and Brother Charles Wright officiating. Her oldest daughter, Joyce Shannon, also spoke. Interment followed in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Curtis Marbut, Ian Marbut, Rusty Newton, Russell Whitaker, Brian Whitaker, Richard Shannon, Jason Moss, and Emory McGee.
Mrs. Collier was born December 14, 1912, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Lester and Rose Hyde McRae. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara & Ronnie Newton, McDonough, Joyce Shannon and Richard Shannon, Jackson; one brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Hazel McRae, Blairsville; 4 grandchildren, Sherry Whitaker, Colquitt, Wanda Newton, Stockbridge, Rusty Newton, Griffin, and Curtis Marbut, Hampton; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Collier; one brother, George Lester McRae, Jr.; one sister, Eva Wade; and one grandson, Darryl Newton.

FRANK DAVIS
Mr. Frank Davis, age 83, died Saturday, November 1, 2003, at Miller County Hospital.
Mr. Davis was born May 2, 1920 in Miller County. He worked in the logging business for many years.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. at William’s Mortuary Chapel. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Colquitt.
Survivors include one son, Ferrell Davis, St. Petersburg, FL; one sister, Goldie Mae, Tallahassee, FL; two grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

CARRIE BELL HOUSE
Mrs. Carrie Bell House of Colquitt recently passed away in Colquitt.
Mrs. Bell was born January 4, 1924, to the late Rosevelt Fudge and Henrietta Patterson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bainbride.
Survivors include one son, Alvern Murrell; one daughter, Ruthie Williams; two sisters, Georgiana Durant and Lizzie Fudge; two brothers, Noah Patterson Jr., Robert Fudge Jr.; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MILLIE BOWEN WILKINS
Millie Bowen Wilkins, 80, of Edison died November 8, 2003 at Calhoun Memorial Hospital in Arlington. The graveside funeral will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. from New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines.
Mrs. Wilkins was born January 28, 1923 in Georgetown, was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a former resident of Arlington and was married to the late George R. Wilkins.
Survivors include two sons; George R. Wilkins, Jr. of Riverdale, and Edward Wilkins of Edison; two daughters, Linda Springs of Americus and Rebecca Swords of Arlington, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

ELISE SAWYER GREENE
Elise Sawyer Greene, 86, of Cuthbert, died November 8, 2003 at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m. from Springvale Baptist Church with internment in East View Cemetery in Cuthbert. Rev. Jim Cox and Olin Johnson will officiate.
Mrs. Greene was born March 23, 1917 in Randolph County, daughter of the late Samuel Lamatha Sawyer and Eva Crawford Sawyer. She was a member of Springvale Baptist Church, formerly owned Wildwood Florist in Cuthbert and was a former employee of Kellwood, Inc. She was the widow of Homer Corbin Greene.
Survivors include three sons; State Representative Gerald Greene of Cuthbert, Horace Greene of Columbus and James Greene and his wife Barbara of Franklin, TN; two daughters; Rhetta Montfort and her husband, David of Cuthbert and Mary Anne Bland and her late husband, Ira of Leesburg, nine grandchildren; Mark Montfort and his wife, Alexis, Michael Montfort, Melissa Montfort, Ramona Higgs and her husband Kevin, Christie Guy and her husband, Allan, Jamie Greene, Corbin Greene, Joey Greene, and David Greene, and eight great-grandchildren.

ALEX CALIFF
Mr. Alex Califf, age 44 of Donalsonville died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at his residence.
Mr. Califf was born February 20, 1959 in Decatur County to the late Lary Gene Califf and Virginia Faircloth Califf Perry. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1977. He had been the manager of Simply Fashion, a clothing store in Fort Myers, FL.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Hollis officiating. Interment followed in Sring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were LeRoy Roberts, Cody Roberts, Gary Perry, Mike Perrym Garland Braswell, and Ricky Thursby.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Virginia and Jimmy Perry, Donalsonville; one sister, Latrisa Roberts, Colquitt; and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Gene Califf who passed away December 1, 1991. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
ROBERT HOLLIS TAYLOR SR.
Robert Hollis Taylor Sr., age 60, of Albany died Thursday, November 13, 2003.
Mr. Taylor was born December 17, 1942 in Early County. He was a service manager with Coca Cola Company in Albany and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Albany. He graduated from Miller County High School in 1960.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15, at 4:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron McCaskill and the Rev. Chip Gresham officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve McClellan, Kenny Lane, Donny Bell, Tuby Dancer, Ross Geer, and Hunter Parker.
Survivors include one son, Robert Hollis Taylor, Jr., Albany; two daughters, Lisa Carole Taylor Durden, Iron City; Terry Fann, Dallas, TX; one sister, Judy Bell, Albany; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Isaaac Sheffield of Colquitt died Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Miller County Hospital.
Mr. Sheffield was born April 17, 1934 to Ordley Sheffield of Decatur County and Ludester Warren Sheffield of Miller County. He was an usher at Little Zion Church in Colquitt.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Zion Church in Miller County. Interment followed at Pond Town Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Dougls, Lemar Bush, J.D. Douglas, Charlie O. Bush, James Sheffield, and Lenoris Bush.
Survivors include his wife, Euzera B.
