Mr. H. Lynwood Jinks, 78, of Colquitt, Ga passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Miller County Hospital. The family will receive friends from 7:30 until 9:00 pm Monday Night, November 17, 2003 at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday November 18, 2003 at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. James Aycock and Rev. Matt Stewart officiating. Bill Herdrich, Bob Herdrich, Chris Herdrich, Jeff Herdrich,Trey Jinks, and Richard Jinks will serve as active pallbearers. Interment willfollow at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Mr. Jinks was born September 23, 1925 in Miller County. He was a retired banker, one of the original trustees of the Ruth T. Jinks Foundation, in the U S Navy for 11 years, and a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. His survivors include his wife, Peggy Jane Jinks of Colquitt; one daughter, Jamie LaRue Jinks of Colquitt; one son, Mark E. Stanley of Columbia Falls, Montana; one brother, Clyde Jinks of Colquitt; one sister, Ruth Herdrich of Connersville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Shay LaCasse, Keri Stanley, Tyler Stanley, and Kim Cadwell; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Ann Cadwell.

JACK C. WILLIAMS
Mr. Jack C. Williams, age 72, of Bainbridge passed away November 13, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday November 15, 2003 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gerry Little officiating. Interment followed at the Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bainbridge.
Pallbearers were Son Toole, Bill Allen, Joe Cook, Roger Strickland, Bob Gardener and Jack Bishop.
Mr. Williams was born in Lamar Co., on January 12, 1931, to the late John T. Williams and Jimmie Lou Piper Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from Amoco Fabric where he was a plant manager for 19 years. He was in the Air Force during the Koreen War. He was a member of the Southwest Georgia Planning Board and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge.
Mr. Williams leaves behind a wife, Shirley Wright Williams of Bainbridge; son, Marty Williams of Thomasville; a daughter, Michelle McConnell of Bainbridge; a brother, Terry Williams of Huntsville, AL; 2 sisters, Mary Diner of Tampa, FL and Victoria Carns of Griffin, GA and 4 Grandchildren.

ALICE MAE WILLIAMS BATCHELOR
We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Alice Mae Williams Batchelor, 96, who passed away on Friday, November 14, 2003 at Donalsonville Hospital, Donalsonville.
Daughter of the late William and Callie Spooner Kirkland, Mrs. Batchelor was born on January 21, 1907, in Seminole County, where she later met and married the late Mr. Rufus Williams. After his passing in 1969, Mrs. Alice later met and married Mr. Arthur Batchelor. Living in Seminole County all her life, she was a homemaker and mother, and she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Services were held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2003, at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, with the Rev. James Miller and the Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at the New Enterprise freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Iron City.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Jack and Janice Williams of Panama City, FL; Maxie and Shanna Williams of Donalsonville and Fred and Jean Williams of Greenville, FL; two daughter: Carolyn and Deese Connell of Chattahoochee, FL and Harriet and Arthur Reynolds of Spartanburg, SC; and one sister Tassie Grimsley of Colquitt. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Batchelor, and one son, Roy Williams. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
NANCY JEWEL WIDNER
We regret the passing of Nancy Jewel Widner, age 87, of Jakin who passed away Tuesday, November 25 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services was held Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Hilburn officiating at Jakin Baptist Cemetery in Jakin.
Mess Jewel was born on July 6, 1916 in Miller County. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Anna Laura Philmon Widner. She was a homemaker and lived in Jakin most of her life. She attended Springfield Baptist Church.
Miss Jewel is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
UNA DRAKE MCLEMORE
We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Una Drake McLemore, age 90, of Donalsonville, who passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment followed in the Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. McLemore was born on September 22, 1913 in Iron City. She was the daughter of the late Taylor and Trudy Barber Drake. She and Mr. Joseph McLemore were married in 1934. They lived in Jacksonville, FL for 36 years prior to moving to Donalsonville. She retired from the Greyhound Bus Industry after having worked for them for 32 years. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville, the Woman's Club, the Garden Club, and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Mrs. McLemore is survived by one sister, Ms. Ruby Drake Pace of Donalsonville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
TONY RAY MEDLEY
Mr. Tony Ray Medley, 51, of Albany, Ga passed away Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany after a lengthy illness. The funeral service was held Monday, November 24, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with interment at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with the Revs. Loretta Dunbar and Rev. Chuck Auschwitz officiating.
Mr. Medley was born October 16, 1952 in Seminole County. He was a building contractor and of the Baptist Faith.
His survivors include his mother, Camilla Cox Medley of Albany; one sister, Marian Corbin and brother-in-law Donnie of Colquitt; two brothers, Thomas Edward Medley and sister-in-law Sheryl of Columbus and Ted R. Medley of Albany; and four nieces and nephews, Marcy Davis Schneider, Michael Todd Davis, Thomas Edward Medley Jr., and Melinda Strenth. He was preceded in death by his father Loyce Medley, also by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Lillie Mae Cox, and his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Claudia Medley.

LESTER WALKER TABB
We regret to announce the passing of Lester Walker Tabb, age 90, of Leary, who passed away November 20, 2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Milford Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Fox and Glen Henley giving the Eulogy.
Mr. Tabb was born May 9, 1913 in Miller County. His occupation was county executive director for Miller County Farm Service Agency and was a member of the Baptist Faith church.
He was employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture ASCS for 40 years. He was owner/operator of Ivey Mill in Leary. He was also a member of the Society for Preservation of Old Mills and Past member of the Baker County Historical Society.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Christine H. Tabb of Patmos; one son, Danny Tabb and daughter-in-law, Darlene of Patmos; six daughters, Helen Tabb of Albany, Kittie Mae Teel of Colquitt, Wanda Fox of Alger, Michigan, Sandy Hodges and son-in-law Donny of Patmos, Lorraine McClung and son-in-law Jim of Lessburg and Faye Pearson and son-in-law Steve of Lake Park; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Caldonia Carter, also survive.
Pallbearers were Richard Henley, Felix Tabb, Jr., Rick LaGuardia, Ray Henley, Tommy Tabb and Ty Godfrey.

DIANA BARBER
We regret to announce the passing of Diana Barber, age 61, of Dothan, AL, who passed away Tuesday evening, November 18, 2003, at Exendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center Hospice Wing in Dothan.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with the Rev. Willie Byron Parker officiating.
Mrs. Barber was born on January 10, 1942 in Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania to the late Boris E. and Verlie Martin Heilman. She married Bruce Barber on December 29, 1962. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Barber leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 40 years, Bruce Barber of Dothan, AL; one son, Bruce Barber, Jr. of Prospect, TN; three daughters, Stephanie Agnew of Dothan, AL, Natalie Ridenhour of St. James, MO, and Rhonda Barber of Dothan, AL; three brothers, Ed Heilman of Loudon, TN, Joel Heilman of Elyria, OH, and Dennis Heilman of Spokane, WA; three grandchildren, Allison Agnew of Dothan, AL, Shelby and Austin Ridenhour of St. James, MO, and several nieces and nephews also survive. LOLA MAVIS MORRIS
We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lola Mavis Morris, age 85, of Donalsonville, who passed away Friday morning, December 5, 2003 at the Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 7, 2003 at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Rev. Hubert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville.
Mrs. Morris was born in Houston Co., AL on May 10, 1918 to the late Ralph Lee and Dommer Whitten North. She worked as a sales clerk at Thomas 5&10 and as a LPN at the Donalsonville Hospital. She was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Morris leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Houston V. Morris of Donalsonville; one son, Durwood Morris and his wife Phyllis of Donalsonville; a brother, Leo North of Grayson; two grandchildren, Jennifer Brown and her husband Wayne and Amy Long and her husband Kevin; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Brown and Ansley Long.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Tony Morris, Jimmy Holt, Mark Godby, David Ellis, and Buddy Johnson.

EVELYN CUMMINGS STOUT
We regret the passing of Evelyn Cummings Stout, age 77, of Donalsonville who passed away December 4, 2003 at the Southeast Alabama Mediacal Center in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 7, 2003 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville with Dr. Ron McCaskill and the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
The daughter of the late John Jasper Cummings, Sr. and Evelyn Cobb Cummings, Evelyn was born on October 8, 1926 in Decatur County. On November 2, 1943, she married Paul Ellis Stout. She attended Washington Seminary and Brenau College. She served the community as President of the Garden Club, Regent of Daughters of the American Revolution, and member of the Library Board. She was a life member and judge of the National Hmeracallis Society. She judged daylily shows all over the South. Mrs. Evelyn and her mother owned and operated Evelyn's Dress Shop in the 1960's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville and she loved gardening.
Mrs. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Paul E. Stout of Donalsonville; 1 son, Hohn Ray Stout and his wife Carolyn of Bluffton; 3 grandchildren: Jay Stout of Bainbridge, Stacy Mills of Robertsdale, AL and Bert Thomas, III of Tallahassee, FL; 2 great-grandchildren: Zachary Mills and Jordan Stout also survive.
Mrs. Evelyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Stout Thomas, in 1992, and by a brother, John Cummings. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
HOWARD ASKEW
We regret to announce the passing of Howard Askew, age 81, of Blakely, who passed away December 4, 2003 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely.
The body will be cremated with interment at a later date.
Mr. Askew, born December 23, 1921 in Early County, to the late John Askew and Agnes Bynum Askew. His occupations were a truck driver and a fireman. He lived most of his life in Early County.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Helen Stunet Askew of Colquitt; two daughters, Shirley Higginbothem of Blakely and Gloria Shiver of Uvalda; one son, David Elkins of Colquitt; two sisters, Marjorie Hill of Dothan, AL and Nell Hall of Dothan, AL; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home November 4 from 7-9 p.m.

PEARL LEAN BUSH WILLIS
Mrs. Pearl Lean Bush Willis, age 89, of Colquitt died Tuesday, November 25, 2003.
Mrs. Willis was born April 11, 1914, to Charlie and Mariah Bush. She joined Little Zion Church at an early age and later in life joined New Salem.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 29, at 1:30 p.m. at New Salem Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. David Stenson and the Rev. Isiah Cheatem officiating. Interment followed in Oakey Lawn Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Derrick Carr, Eric Carr, Lemar Bush, Teronde Carr, Lenoris Bush, and Charlie O. Bush Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie Willis Carr and husband, Larry Connell Carr, Columbus; stepdaughter, Mandy Rae Poole, Apopka, FL; one sister, Euzera Bush Sheffield, Colquitt; three brothers, Charlie Oliver (Vera) Bush, Henry Lee Bush, Colquitt, and Jessie W. Bush, Bainbridge; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
EUGENE EIVE HARVEY
Mr. Eugene Eive Harvey, 83, of Colquitt passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. The funeral was Saturday, November 29, 2003 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Memorial Gardens in Colquitt.
Mr. Harvey was born November 20, 1920 in Plant City, FL. He was a farmer, served in the US Navy during WWII, and of the Primitive Baptist Faith. His survivors include two daughters, Jean Adams with son-in-law Eddie of Colquitt and Barbara Wisham with son-in-law Robert of Bainbridge; one sister, Gertrude Williams of Cotton, Ga; one brother, Earl Harvey of Mineral Wells, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Wisham, Jeremy Wisham, Bobby Tulley, Darrell Cox, Wooddrow Wisham and Eric Taylor.
