JACOB H. HOLLEY
We regret to announce the passing of Jacob H. Holley, M.D., age 69, of Donalsonville, who passed away Thursday morning, December 11, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 14, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville with Rev. David Farling and Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville.
Dr. Holley was born in Wrons on July 15, 1934 to the late Kinchen G. and Carrie Arrington Holley. He married Betty Neal on July 14, 1953. Dr. Holley served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and in the U.S. Army Reserve. After graduating from the University of Georgia and receiving his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia, he interned at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, where he also studied anesthesiology. He and his family moved to Donalsonville in 1963, where he has been involved in family practice medicine and administering anesthesia for many years. He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he was serving as a member of the board and as a trustee. Dr. Holley was the current Medical Director of the Seminole County Public Health Dept., the former Chief of Staff on Donalsonville Hospital, and an active staff physician at that same hospital. He was an active member of the community and the sponsor of the Betty Neal Holley College Scholarship for deserving Seminole County High School graduates. He will be greatly missed by the people of this and many surrounding communities.
Dr. Holley leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Betty Neal Holley of Donalsonville, as well as six loving children; Rhonda H. Payne, Brenda Holley Zachery, Jacob H. Holley, Jr. and his wife Linda, Jeffrey N. Holley, M.D. and his wife Vicki all of Donalsonville, Betsy H. DuBose and her husband David of Eufaula, AL. and Joy H. Bell and her husband Brad of Donalsonville. His father-in-law, Mr. Alvin Neal of Donalsonville survives him, as do three brothers, John C. Holley of Knoxville, TN, Marcus A. Holley of Eastman, and James "Bo" Holley of Wrens, and one sister, Farris Lazenby of Lumberton, MS, as well as, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Holley Kirksey of Donalsonville. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Kristen Payne, Michael Payne, Nicole Payne, Grant Zachery, Holley Zachery, Jacob Holley III, Eric Holley, Caroline DuBose, Elizabeth DuBose, Belinda Bell, Rebecca Bell, and a baby to be born in April of 2004.
Dr. Holley was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, Louise Adams Neal, a son-in-law, Kevin Payne, three sisters, Doris Delk, Dessie Holley, and an infant, as well as three brothers, M.G. Holley, Lewis W. Holley, and Kinchen G. Holley, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Charles O. Walker, Dr. Charles A. Walker, Dr. Milton Hones, Franklin Boulidau, Bennett Avery, and David DuBose.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the First Church of the Nazarene of Donalsonville.

WILLIS LOVERING
Mr. Willis Lovering, 73, of Colquitt passed away Thursday, December 18, 2003 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral was held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Matt Stewart and Rev. Floyd Mitchell officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Mr. Lovering was born March 25, 1930 in Miller County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Lovering of Colquitt; two sons, Randy & daughter-in-law Jane Lovering of Damascus and Ronnie & daughter-in-law Sybil Lovering of Blakely; four brothers, James W. Lovering, Horace Lovering, Ray Lovering and Glen Lovering all of Colquitt; and four grandsons, Brian Lovering of Damascus, Brandon & grandaughter-in-law Lori Lovering of Statesboro, Sam Lovering and Seth Lovering both of Blakely. He was preceded in death by his parents Idus & Lizzie Lovering.

GROVER TAYLOR DUNLAP
Mr. Grover Taylor Dunlap, 85, of Colquitt passed away Friday, December 19, 2003 at his residence. The funeral was held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Eldorendo Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Long officiating. Interment followed at Eldorendo Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Dunlap was born June 15, 1918 in Heard County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Eldorendo Baptist Church.
His survivors include two sons, Bill Dunlap of Colquitt and Rodney & daughter-in-law Theresa Dunlap of Colquitt; two daughters, Linda & son-in-law Irving Widner & Lydia & son-in-law Ronnie Faircloth all of Colquitt; one brother, Dorsey Dunlap of Colquitt; twelve grandchildren, Vince Widner, Michael Widner, Kirk Widner, Wesley Faircloth, Tanya Fitzgerald, Sharon, Michelle, Terri, Nichole, Theresa Montalvo, Dana Robinson, and Shawn Weaver; and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eulene Dunlap, in September of 2003.

Mr. Gary Braxton (Brack) Hudson, 73, of Newton passed away Thursday, December 11, 2003 at his residence. The funeral was held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 14, 2003 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Interment followed at Live Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born March 30, 1930, in Baker County. Mr. Brack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also was a member of the VFW Post # 5474 of Newton, a former county commissioner of Baker County, retired assistant manager of the Agriculture Division of Ichauway Plantation, a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and a member of Live Oak Freewill Baptist Church. His survivors include his wife, Laverne B. Hudson of Newton; three daughters, Peggy Skipper and son-in-law Rick, Mechelle Pait and son-in-law, Terry, both of Newton, and Ramona Price and son-in-law Rick of Americus; one son, Nick Hudson and fiancee Kim Simmons of Albany; one brother, Perry Hudson Sr. of Leary; one sister, Vera Hudson of Leesbury; nine loving grandchildren, Clint Hudson, Spec. 4 Nicholas Hudson, Shay Chapman, Sarah Benefield, Scarlett Musgrove, Holly Pait, Dana Alewine, Lauren Allen, and Kevin Pait; and eight loving great-grandchildren.

Ms. Charlotte Hayes, 50, of Colquitt passed away Friday, December 12, 2003, at her residence. The funeral was held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 14, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Bazel and Rev. Tommy Long officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Ms. Hayes was born July 5, 1953, in Miller Co. She was a homemaker and a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father, Earl Hayes of Colquitt; two sisters, Cindy Kelley of Eldorendo and Karol Godwin of Bainbridge; one brother, Chris Hayes of Albany; four nephews, Travis Kelley, Christopher Hayes, Ashley Godwin, and Wesley Godwin; one great-niece, Krislyn Kelley; and one special friend, Lelia Corley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Onita Hayes.

SARAH J. SHULER
Sister Sarah Shuler was born on May 26, 1930, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Jeff and Anna Smith. She was a member of St. Matthews Baptist until her illness confined her to home. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at her home in Jakin. She was preceded in death by one son, A.J. Shuler, five brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 60 years, O.J. Shuler; two daughters, Dorothy Bryant, Jakin and Mary Virgin of Donalsonville; six granddaughters, Doris (John) Shuler (whom she raised as her own), Blakely, Jackie and Sarah Bryant of Jakin; Mae (Ron) Davis and Sylvia Virgin, both of Donalsonville; Diana (Roy Jr.) Haire of Gordon, AL; 15 great-grandchildren, eight sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

NIZA LEE DAVIS
Mrs. Niza Lee Davis, 85, of Donalsonville passed away Friday morning, December 12, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born to the late Dement Sam and Annie Lou Grimsley Williams on August 24, 1918, in Miller County. She married the late Felix Davis and worked for the Miller County School System as a teacher and administrator for 54 and one-half years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville and a member of the Georgia Association of Educators.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 12, at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Rev. Buren Womble, Dr. Ron McCaskill, and Dr. Ron King officiating. Interment followed at Primitive Union Cemetery in Miller County.
Pallbearers were David King, Chris Arnold, Jerry Mock, Don Mock, Wilton Albritton, and Stephen Houston.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Bean and her husband, David, Trenton; one brother, Buford Williams and wife, Lillian, Donalsonville; two grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson Smith and her husband, Steve, and Shannon Davis Johnson, and two great-grandchildren, Davis and Collier Smith. We regret to announce the passing of William Thomas "Bill" Watson, age 64, of Baker County, who passed away December 9 in Calhoun Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were Wednesday, December 10, at 3:00 p.m., at Milford United Methodist Church; interment followed in Anberwood Sanctuary in Baker County with Rev. Lynn Roberts, Rev. Roger Eunice and Rev. Joe Jenkins officiating.
Mr. Watson was born January 29, 1939 in Carroll County. He retired Delta Airlines after 32 years and was of the Methodist Faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Carol Knight Watson of Leary; two sons, Tim Watson and Lance Watson, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Dallas Richardson and Doris Brown, both of Lithia Springs; four brothers, Roger Watson of Villa Rica, Arthur Watson of Lagrange, Ridley Watson of Lithia Springs and Ikey Watson of Douglas County; three grandchildren, Thomas Watson, Cody Watson and Atlee Watson.

Mrs. McKinstry was born October 17, 1909 in Quitman County. She was homemaker and funeral director. She was a member of the Colquitt United Methodist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Roy McKinstry of Colquitt; one granddaughter, Brenda McKinstry of Colquitt; two sisters, Melba Strong of Quincy, FL and Dorothy Carey of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers, Rufus Graddy and Kenneth Graddy, both of Tallahassee, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Roy McKinstry, Sr.

Mr. Moore was born June 22, 1922 in Miller County, the son of Lewis L. Moore and Anna Heard Moore. He was a farmer and a retired industrial maintenance welder from Occidental Chemical Co. He was a member of Notchaway Baptist Church and the Walter C. Dancer Lodge #115. & A.M.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Smith Moore.
Survivors include a son, Dorsey W. Moore of Jasper, FL; three daughters, Debra M. Marlowe of Jasper, FL, Helen M. McDavid of Gainesville, FL, and Pamela M. Wideman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Frances M. Suggs of Bainbridge; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

We regret to announce the passing of Michael Kovac, age 60, of Donalsonville, formerly of Akron, Ohio who passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2003.
Mr. Kovac was born July 17, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to the late Michael and Margaret Turanchik Kovac. He was a plant manager for Marco Manufacturing in Ohio, and had lived in this area since May.
He is survived by one son Michael J. Kovac of Akron, Ohio; one daughter Michelle Robbins of Beaverton, Oregon; three grandchildren Jackson, Morganne and Sophia.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Myrtle Alice Ethredge, 74, of Damascus passed away December 21, 3002 in Whigham. The funeral will be held December 24, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Burrell and Rev. Bob Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ethredge was born March 7, 1929 in Miller County. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Colquitt First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons: Jeff and daughter-in-law Judy Ethredge of Whigham and Jack and daughter-in-law Jean Ethredge of Thornton, CO; one brother: Marvin Kelly of Colquitt; two sisters: Bernice Walden of Columbus and Pat Holzknecht of Colquitt; six grandchildren: Dustin Starling, Blake Ethredge, Jacquelyn Ethredge, Elizabeth Ethredge, Alicia Ethredge and Kristen Ethredge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Bob Ethredge, brother Aubrey Kelley, Jr. and one sister Marie Long.

Mrs. McRae was born September 5, 1931 to the late Earnest and Lonnie Mann Glass. She was married to the late Henry Haire. She was born in Miller County and lived her most of her life. She was a clerk for an automobile dealer and was a member of the Boykin Church of God.
She leaves to cherish her memory, six sons, William Haire of Bainbridge, Troy Haire of Bainbridge, Hershel Haire of Attapulgus, Jerry Haire of Mulberry, FL, Michael Haire of Lakeland, FL and Roger Haire of Bainbridge; one daughter, Sandra Black of Bainbridge; two brothers, Cecil Glass of Bellglade, FL and Bill Glass of Lakeland, FL; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
