Jaret Mark Bryan Sr., age 27, of Colquitt died Tuesday, March 2, 2004. at his residence.
Mr. Bryan was born February 27, 1977 in Decatur County. He was a member of Hollonville Baptist church in Williamson and was a facility technician for Bell South.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Paris, Rev. Craig Lee and Rev. Don Bazel officiating. Interment will follow at Mothers Home Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Cauble, Charlie Morris, Mike Holmes, Isrel Peek, Josh Smith, Mac Cox, George Callan, Ryan Powell, and Bryan Clenney.
Honorary pallbears will be Bell South employees.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Nancy (Nan) Rebecca Thompson, 90, of Colquitt, died March 1, 2004 at Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompsontown Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Daniels and Rev. Gene Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Thompson Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born August 23, 1913 in Miller County and was a homemaker and a member of Thompsontown Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons; Gerald Thompson, Walter Thompson, DeVaughn Thompson, all of Colquitt, and E.C. Thompson of Dothan, AL; two daughters, Carolyn Rodriguez and Barbara Jones of Albany; two sisters, Lucille Williams of Bainbridge and Mary Suggs of Villa Rica, FL; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eager Thompson and four sons; Robert, Melvin Gene and Glen Thompson.

Willie Joe Wade, 82, of Colquitt, died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Womack officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ed Brown, Larry Grimsley, Don Brown, Maston Phillips, Randy Clenny and Ronald Brownlee.
Mr. Wade was born May 18, 1921 in Miller County. He was a retired building contractor and was a member of the Bellview Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons; Tommy and daughter-in-law Brenda Wade of Colquitt and Stan and daughter-in-law Susan Wade of Colquitt; one daughter, Cheryl and son-in-law Hill Hammock of Chicago, IL; three brothers, Horace Wade and Harold Wade, both of Colquitt and Herman Wade of Sylvester; one sister, Hattie Middleton of Acworth; six grandchildren, Beth Wade, Brooks Wade, Missy Wade, Kelly Wade, Rob Hammock and Jeff Hammock and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Wade; one sister, Waver Wade and two brothers, Charles Wade and Tommy E. Wade.

C. DANIEL KIMBREL
C. Daniel "Danny" Kimbrel, 54, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004.
Mr. Kimbrel had headed the Thomson Oak Flooring Co. since he returned to the Augusta area from Florida in 1985.
A Thomson native, Mr. Kimbrel graduated from Wofford College and the Rutgers School of Banking before beginning entering into a successful banking center.
He worked his way through the ranks of Sarasota Bank & Trust, was president of American Bank of Sarasota and the youngest president of Ellis Banking Corp., Sarasota. Mr. Kimbrel also was a past chairman of the board of First Union National Bank of Augusta.
Danny is the son of the late Monroe and Nita Kimbrel. Monroe Kimbrel, of Colquitt, was chairman of the former First National Bank in Thomson and later held the top banking job in the Southeast as when he was appointed president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Survivors include hi wife, Mary Lane Preston Kimbrel; two sons, Preston Monroe Kimbrel and Charles Daniel Kimbrel and his sister, Jenny Wood Kimbrel Bunn.

TALMADGE COX
Talmadge Cox, 81, of Colquitt, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14, 2004 at 2:00 at New Home Freewill Baptist Church in Colquitt with Rev. John Lewis and Rev. Walter Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Roberts, Cory Cox, Scott Roberts, Russell Cox, Kent Raker and David Clements.
Mr. Cox was born on September 4, 1922 in Blue Springs, AL to the late Fred and Cherry Bell DuBose Cox. He was married to Dorothy Granger Cox who preceded him in death in 1994. Mr. Cox had served his country in the United States Army. He was a long time member of the VFW and the American Legion Gerald Grow Post 165.
Survivors include three brothers, Herman Cox and his wife Jeanette, Harvey D. Cox and his wife Mary, and Hubert Cox all of Colquitt. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Susie McCracken White, 87, of Bainbridge, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home in Bainbridge.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church in Bainbridge with Rev. Parrish Myers and Rev. Leon VanLandingham officiating. Interment will follow in Blakely Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons of the deceased.
Mrs. White was born on June 9, 1916 to Charlie McCracken and Alma Hollan McCracken. She married Boyd White and was a waitress. She was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Rodney and Shirley White of Valdosta and Thomas and Shirley White of Bainbridge, six daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice W. Walker of Blakely, Evelyn and William Powell of Blakely, Lynda Bryan of Bainbridge, Carolyn and Bryan Glass of Bainbridge, Dianne and Gene Brock of Bainbridge, Laura and Charles Musgrove of Colquitt; six sisters, Willie Mae Barwick of Putney, Gussie Pearl Dudley of Natchez, MS, Charlie Ruth Higginbottom of Jacksonville, FL, Juanita Sanders of Waycross, Virginia Tucker of Albany and Mary Johnson of Sylvester; 31 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Sarah Alice Glover.

Emory Columbus Easterwood, 71, of Iron City, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at the Donalsonville Hospital Emergency Room.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Iron City Baptist Church in Iron City with Rev. Luther Hastey and Rev. Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment followed in the Brinson City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ronnie Ingram, Michael Kirkland, Donnie Ray Kelly, Wes Dozier, Ray McIntosh and Alton Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers were Rev. James Miller, Mel Flowers, John D. Miller, Don Rentz and Fred Conoly.
Mr. Easterwood was born on April 3, 1932 in Lake City, FL to the late Wiley and Sally Harlow Easterwood. He married the former Lillian Stinson on June 2, 1953. He retired from Amoco Fabrics in 1989 and then worked with the maintenance department of the Seminole County School System. He was an active member of the Iron City Baptist Church, where he served as Head Usher and was also a member of the Iron City City Council. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Easterwood of Iron City; one daughter, Ginger Hand and her husband Billy Gene of Iron City; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wiley Easterwood and one sister, Jewell Hunt. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Zelona Owen Smith, 89, of Colquitt, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, FL with Rev. Larry McGowan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born of May 13, 1914 in Ponce de Leon, FL to the late Dennis and Etta West Owen. She was married to Wilbur W. Smith who preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and had lived in this area for over 30 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two sons, Wilbur Owen Smith of Apalachicola, FL and Anthony (Tony) K. Smith of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Houston of Donalsonville; one brother, Wayne E. Doris Virginia Cash Cross, 72, of Donalsonville, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Early County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Henry was born on July 18, 1931 in Greenpond, AL to the late Thomas and Earlene Hall Cash. She worked for many years as a supervisor at United Plastics and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bainbridge.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonita Lynne Henry and her husband Melvin of Donalsonville; one son, Kenneth Wayne Cross and his wife Leesa of Attapulgus; one brother, Jody Cash of Walker, MN; two sisters, Iren Curren of Chattanooga, TN and Francis Sarto of Pullman, MI; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Jewell Doris Davis Dykes George, 87, of Blakely, died Sunday, March 7, 2004 in the Miller County Nursing Home.

Mrs. George was born in Miller County on February 23, 1917 to the late Billie Bruton and Jessie Elizabeth Grimsley Davis. She married Charlie Ralph Dykes, who preceded er in death on April 2, 1985. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, a homemaker and an active member of the Seminole County Senior Citizens Center as long as her health allowed.
Survivors include her husband, Archie George of Donalsonville; one daughter, Jessie Lou Swanner and her husband Ladon of Blakely; one son, Billy T. Davis and his wife Joyce of Jakin; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Margie Elizabeth Thursby Peters, 88, of Donalsonville, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the Seminole Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday 9, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Iron City with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating. Interment followed in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Peters was born in Decatur County on November 1, 1915 to the late John and Sally Leona Johnson Thursby. She was a presser at Williamson-Dickie Apparel Manufacturing Company from which she retired in 1987. She was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. During the past few years she had attended the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Brinson.
Survivors include one daughter, Nell Drinkard and her husband Alvin of Montgomery, AL; two sons, Bernard Peters and wife Lois of Monticello, FL and Joe Peters and his wife Pat of Bainbridge; two sisters, Lucille Rangel and Alice Tharp, both of Donalsonville; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Peters; one son, Earl Peters and two daughters, Mae Faircloth and Lillian Richter. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jeannette Cook Scott, 59, of Colquitt, died Friday, March 5, 2004 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 7, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kent Barwick officiating. Interment followed in Cooks Union Cemetery.

Ms. Scott was born January 22, 1945 in Miller County. She was a nurse and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita and son-in-law Marty Tabb and Susan Killebrew, both of Colquitt; one son, Frank Killebrew of Colquitt; one sister, Frankie Phillips of Colquitt; three brothers, Sarince Cook, Jr., Aubrey Cook and Terry Cook, all of Colquitt; five grandchildren, Mike Hayman, Ashleigh Hayman, Jacob Hayman, Mare Tabb and Trippe Killebrew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Heywood Scott in 2000.

Mr. Clifton Alford Powell, age 88 of Colquitt died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in Miller Nursing Home.
Mr. Powell was born June 15, 1915 in Miller County. He was a member of Thomson Free Will Baptist Church and was chairman of the Board of Deacons at Thompson Free Will Baptist Church and former moderator of the Martin Association. He was also a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeal Chapel with the Rev. Walter Daniels and the Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Interment followed in Thomson Cemetery.
