VIVIAN HILL LISENBY
Vivian Hill Lisenby, 68, of Blakely, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. James Labolita officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville.
Pallbearers were Morgan Lisenby, Johnny Lisenby, Chris Lisenby, Mark Pace, Paul Lisenby and Matthew Murphy.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2004 from 7:00–9:00 P.M. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donasonville.
Mrs. Lisenby was born July 2, 1935 in Miller County to the late Jack and Louise Rowe Hill. She married Billy Lisenby December 23, 1954. She worked as a seamstress in Bainbridge, Colquitt and Blakely and was a homemaker. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Lisenby of Blakely; three brothers, Sanford Hill and his wife Margie of Dothan, AL, Joe Hill of Demopolis, AL, Ivey Hill and his wife Betty of Tallahassee, FL; two brother-in-laws, Berkerly Lisenby and Oscar Morgan Lisenby; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Garland Jesse Hill in 1978. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
ANGELA RENA MURKERSON LANE
Angela Rena Murkerson Lane, age 28, of Iron City died Saturday, April 3, 2004, in Birmingham, AL.
Mrs. Lane was born in Donalsonville on June 3, 1975 to Ted and Linda Waddell Murkerson. She married Alan Lane of Colquitt in March of 1997. Mrs. Lane worked at the Mother Goose Nursery and Pre-K in Bainbridge. She attended New Hope Worship Assembly.
Graveside services were held Thursday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City with the Rev. Charles Barineu officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Waddell, John Waddell, Wayne Waddell, David Yates, Marty Trail, and Michael Lloyd.
Survivors include her husband, David Alan Lane, Colquitt; mother, Linda Murkerson, Iron City; father, Ted Murkerson and his wife, Wanda, Donalsonville; two sons, Lloyd Alan Bonilla, Richard Dean Lane, Iron City; three daughters, Paris Alanda Lane, Amber Nicole Bonilla, and Maria De Jasmine Bonilla, all of Iron City; one step-brother, Marty Trail, Colquitt; and several aunts, uncles and cousin also survive.

RONALD L. HAIRE
Ronald L. Haire, 68, of Sunrise, FL, died Thursday, April 15, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2004 at Fred Hunter Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Interment will follow in Lauderdale Memorial Park.
He was born in Colquitt and was the son of Rance and Grace Harrell Haire. He received his college education at the Georgia South Western College and Valdosta State College. He received his Masters Degree from Florida State University. Ronald was a Professor of Chemistry for 40 years at Broward Community College in Davie. He retired in January of 2001 and was the last Charter Member of BCC. He was a member of the Coral Springs Community Church and a former member of the First Church of God, Fort Lauderdale. He was a committee member for BSA Troop #128 in Davie.
Survivors include his wife, Lauri; daughter, Vicki (Roland) St. Gelais, FL; son, Christopher (Christine) Haire; daughter, Liesl (Mike) Smith; sons, Joseph (Joey) Haire and Steven Haire; sister, Lillian Donley; brother, Wayne (Deana) Haire. Grandchildren: Owen, Duncan, Brendan and Cameron St. Gelais, FL; Erica, Jessica and Anica Haire; Hannah, Sarah, Josiah, Noah and Emma Smith.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a brother, Raymond Haire.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday and 11:00 P.M.

Edwin Earl Tabb, 78, of Colquitt, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Phoebe Putney Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Mock and Rev. Walter Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ricky Tabb, Amos Taylor, Ruel Cleveland, Joe Cleveland, Wesley Cleveland, Tony Mock, Jeff Parker and Kevin Tabb.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Mr. Tabb was born April 27, 1925 in Miller County. He was a farmer and a member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Joyce and Ronnie Parker of Cordele; one sister, Welthie Lee Cleveland of Colquitt; one brother, Henderson Tabb of Meridian, MS; two grandchildren, Jeff Parker and granddaughter-in-law Mary of St. Simons Island and Jenny Parker of Savannah.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nadine Taylor and Laverne Guidroz and one son, James Edwin Tabb.

ERVIN WILLIAMS, JR.
Ervin "Curly" Williams, Jr., 75, of Marietta, died Friday, April 2, 2004 in Marietta.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Colquitt City Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Pallbearers were the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Williams was born in Bainbridge, but had lived the past 42 years in Cobb County. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Cobb County Fire Department after 25 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, India Williams of Marietta; two sons, Curt Williams of Canton and Jim Williams of Murfreesboro, TX; four sisters, Grace Smith, Zebie Bush and Joyce Ard, all of Colquitt and Hilda Everett of Arlington; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

HILTON SHEFFIELD
Hilton Sheffield, 81, of Colquitt, died April 9, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Eldorendo Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Long officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Philip Keaton, Joe Chesnut, Paul Maxwell, Richard Maxwell, Ronnie Phillips, Olin Smith. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Eldorendo Baptist Church.
Mr. Sheffield was born November 18, 1922 in Dover Florida. He attended Miller County Schools and upon graduation joined the U.S. Army, where he served with the 293rd Joint Assault Signal Company in WWII in both the European and Pacific Theaters. He was on Normandy Beach on D-day, June 6, 1944. He continued to serve his country in the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve; he retired in 1982. In 1983 he retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 38 years of service. A Deacon and faithful member of Eldorendo baptist Church, Mr. Sheffield was also a member of the Walter C Dancer Lodge #115 in Colquitt, the Albany Hasan Shrine Temple the Eastern Star #282 in Blakely and the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Phillips Sheffield of Colquitt; one son, Allan and daughter-in-law Paula Sheffield of Bainbridge; two daughters, Sharon and son-in-law Dennis Day of Bainbridge, Bettye and son-in-law Elton Keaton of Leesburg; four sisters, Grace Smith, Zebie Bush, Joyce Ard, all of Colquitt and a twin sister, Hilda Everett of Arlington; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Lou Sheffield, Zeb Sheffield and Ervin Sheffield; one brother, Ervin Williams, Jr. and a granddaughter, Jamie Denise Day.

Sarah Ellen Trimble Barron, 33, of Broxton, died Friday, April 9, 2004.
Funeral service were held Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Point Baptist Church in Douglas with Rev. Eddie Christenberry and Rev. Jerry Winfield officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Tennessee on Friday, April 16, 2004.
Pallbearers were Robbie Roberson, Keith Barber, Kevin Trapnell, Gene Williams, Paul Darwin, J.W. Willis, Charles Wills and Phil Shaw.
Mrs. Barron, a native of Bibb County, was born February 23, 1971 and was the daughter of Kenneth Alfred & Patricia Joan Harrell Trimble. She was a homemaker and her church membership was at the Grace Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Ridley H. Barron III of Douglas; one daughter, Abigail Ellen Barron; two sons, R. Harrison Barron IV and Joshua Blake Barron of Douglas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Trimble of Macon; one brother, Clay (Amy) Trimble of Birmingham AL; one sister, Tricia (Neil) Stevens of Alpharetta.

John Wayne Close, 62, of Newnan, died Sunday April 11, 2004, at his residence in Newnan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Owensby officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.

Mr. Close was born August 15, 1941 in Edison, and was proceeded in death by his mother, Emma Ellen Roberts Phillips. He served his country in The United States Air Force for seven years. Mr. Close was retired, having been employed by Optima Enclosures in materials management and quality assurance.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Patricia Bush Close of Newnan; two sons, Andy Close and his wife Tracy of Newnan and Mike Close and his wife, Teresa of Locust Grove; five grandchildren; one aunt, Mary Alice Sheffield of Arlington; step-father, Bryant Phillips of Jacksonville, FL and step-brother Jimmy Phillips of Andrews, SC.

Louise Whittaker Branton Elmore, 69, of Donalsonville, died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Donalsonville with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating. Interment will follow at Thursby Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Pallbearers will be Randall Thursby, Kyle Elmore, Ray Crupper, Winford Harden, Stacey Watson, Max Watson, Charles Elmore and Rex Smith.
Mrs. Elmore was born November 21, 1934 in Decatur County to the late George Whittaker and Esther Odom Whittaker Murkerson. She was a Health Service Technician at Bainbridge State Hospital, she also worked as a clerk at L & R Food Store in Donalsonville. She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Reynoldsville. She was a member of Bassin' Gals, a fishing club in Decatur County.
Survivors include a son, Robert Branton and his wife Nellie of Rome; three daughters, Jeannie Terrell and her husband John of Bainbridge, Marsha Branton Harden of Lilburn and Mary E. Parker and her husband Ritchie of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers, Clayton Whittaker of Bainbridge, George "Babe" Whittaker of Donalsonville; one sister, Flora Elmore of Reynoldsville; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

L.D. BRIDLEY
L.D. Bridley, 66, died Sunday, April 4, 2004.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Church in Baker County with the Rev. Samuel Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Beard Cemetery.
Mr. Bridley was born December 6, 1937 to the parentage of the late Charlie C. Bridley and Emma Rene Crawford Bridley in Newton. At an early age, L.D. joined Christ C.M.E. Church in Baker County. He later relocated to Orlando, FL. In 1958 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Maxine Bush Bridley and to this union three children were born.
Survivors include three daughters, Vera Mae Bridley, Emma (Willie) Johnson and Carolyn "Shane" (Edward) Williams all of Colquitt; one son, Carl (Brenda) Perry of Texas; one special daughter, Ultricia (Calvin) Daniels of Colquitt; his step-father, John Polk of Americus; son-in-law, Richard Daniels of Donalsonville; two sisters, Larnetta (Cecil) Mason and Syble Johnson, both of Orlando, FL; one step-sister, Dorothy Clanton of Beaver Falls, PA; four brothers, Jimmie (Janet) Bridley of Orlando, FL, L.W. (Mary) Bridley of Ft. Myers, FL, Charlie C. Bridley of Beaver Falls, PA and Britt Johnson of Orlando, FL; a devoted friend; eleven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.

Ms. Chesser was born October 25, 1961 in Jacksonville, FL and has lived in Climax for eight years. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison St. Baptist Church in Starke, FL.
Survivors include her husband, John Chesser; two sons, John D. Chesser and David E. Chesser, both of Climax; two daughters, Brandi Davis of Iron City and Brittany Chesser of Climax; one brother, Kirby Dampier of Atlanta; one sister, Heidi Sikes of Jacksonville, FL and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel H. and Carmine G. Toole Chesser.
