Myrtice Tice Golden, 86, of Decatur, AL, formerly of Donalsonville, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Decatur, AL.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment will follow at Springfield Cemetery in Jakin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 22, 2004 from 7:00–9:00 P.M. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville.
Ms. Golden was born in Dale County on May 25, 1917 to the late Sam and Maggie Harp Tice. She was married to Lucious Golden who preceded her in death, she was a homemaker and lived in this area for many years before moving to Decatur, AL.
Survivors include one son, Sammy J. Tice of Decatur, AL; one sister, Lurine Ard of Dothan, AL; six grandchildren, Kenneth Tice, Lavon Tice, Tammy Miller, Tim Tice, Jason Tice and Tara Tice; several nieces and nephews. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
MICHAEL SHANNON EDMONDS
Michael Shannon Edmonds, 40, of Bentonville, AR, died April 17, 2004 at his residence in Bentonville, AR.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Long officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Edmonds was a graduate of Lawton McCarthur High School in Lawton, OK. He attended the University of Maryland & Cameron University, receiving a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science. He served in the Navy for five years as a Cryptoligic Technician (communications). After his Navy tour he worked in the information systems division for the Wal-Mart Corporation in Bentonville, AR.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer McCoy Edmonds of Bentonville, AR; his parents, Arthur Newlyn Edmonds and Geraldine Thornton Edmonds of Donalsonville; two brothers, Arthur N. Edmonds, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Baltimore, MD and Kenneth Russell Edmonds and wife Misty of Lawton, OK; two sisters, Tracy Lynn Wilts and husband Michael of Muscatine, IA and Anna Lisa McCay and husband Timothy of Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins of south Georgia.

STEVE CLENNEY
Steve Clenney, 45, of Tallahassee, FL, died April 20, 2004 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeffery P. Horne officiating. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge.
Pallbearers will be James Childers, James Chaney, Michael Salter, Freddy Hirsch, Justin Council and Bryan Thompson.
Mr. Clenney was born on November 16, 1958 in Decatur County. He lived in Tallahassee, FL most of his life, where he worked as a car salesman and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents, Elize and Martha Ann Clinton Clenney of Tallahassee; one daughter, Ashley Glover of Bainbridge; one brother, Frankie Clenney of Crawfordville, FL; five sisters, Barbara Zorn of Donalsonville, Marlene Childers of Tallahassee, FL, Brenda Clenney and Brandy Miller of Crawfordville, FL and Amy Rock of Tallahassee, FL.

OZELL "HONEY" JONES
Ozell "Honey" Jones, 85, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Miller County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Spirit Filled Temple International with Pastor Apostle James Wooten officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Jones, son of the late Mr. Coy Jones, Jr. and Mrs. Mattie Butler Jones, was born on September 23, 1918 in Miller County.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Jones of Colquitt; one brother, Collier (Doc) Jones; 10 children, Ada (Andrew) Touzalin, Ozella Williams, Mollie (Desmond) Jones, Wallace Jones, L.W. Jones, all of Orlando, FL, Marjorie (Willie) Orange, Leonard Jones, Coy Jones, all of Colquitt, Zettie (Vickie) Jones of Sarasota, FL and Nathaniel Jones of St. Petersburg, FL; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

MARY JOYCE ALLEY GLISSON
Mary Joyce Alley Glisson, 61, of Bainbridge, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.
Graveside services will be held at Lynn Family Cemetery on the Hebrew Rd. in Donalsonville on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Wayne Bennett officiating.
Mrs. Glisson was born in Seminole County on July 12, 1942 to the late Bruton and Lucille Grant Alley. She married Charles Glisson, Sr., was a homemaker and also a LPN nurse for many years before her illness. She had lived in the area for the past 20 years and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bainbridge.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Glisson, Sr. of Bainbridge; one son, Charles Glisson and his wife Melanie of Bainbridge; two daughters, Jenny Bostick and her husband Steven of Knoxville, TN, Cindy Doyle and her husband Shawn of Coatesville, PA; one sister Kathy Seiling of Roswell; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
CHARLES WESLEY INGRAM
Charles Wesley "Jack" Ingram, age 70, of Leary who passed away Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services was held Sunday, May 2, 2004 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Pastor Robin Chaplin and Pastor Michael Tier officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County. Full military honors will be presented by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
Mr. Ingram was born on October 15, 1933 in Baker County to the late William Wesley and Hazel Elizabeth Lane Ingram. He was retired from the United States Air Force and from Ferrell Gas Co. where he was a transport driver. He was a member of the Leary Baptist Church.
Mr. Ingram leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Doris Maddox ingram; a son, Tab Wesley Ingram of Duncan, North Carolina; a daughter, Deena Ingram Nash of Duncan, North Carolina; two brothers, William Kent Ingram of Maryland and Stoney Brooks of Camilla and Betty Martin of Camilla; Two stepsons, Steven Ray Bullington of Albany; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Mary Long Ingram, a daughter Brenda Lee Ingram Thomas, and a brother David Steve Ingram.
The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
CHRISTINE VARNUM MILLER
Christine Varnum Miller, 66, of Iron City, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church (Rock Pond) in Iron City with the Rev. Ross Plowdon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bruce Varnum, Charles Varnum, Mike Varnum, Johnny Gary Godby, Glen Clark and Ray Hunter.
The family will be receiving friends at their residence, 5908 Braswell/Godby Road in Iron City.
Mrs. Miller was born on January 15, 1938 in Miller County to the late William Plez and Lois Smith Varnum. She was married to Marlin Sydney Miller who preceded her in death in 1978. She worked at Amoco Fibers/Shaw for close to 20 years. She was a member of Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Miller and his wife Kay of Bainbridge and Danny Miller and his wife Penny of Sylvester; two daughters, Lisa Clark and her husband Alvin of Iron City and Kaye Hutchins and her husband Gordon of Bainbridge; four brothers, Leonard Varnum of Colquitt, Hubert Varnum of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Kenneth Varnum of LeHigh Acres, FL and Carroll Varnum of Edison; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford Varnum and Blonnie Varnum. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
MAXINE HUDGENS DAVIS BAXLEY
Maxine Hudgens Davis Baxley, 91, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Donalsonville died Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at the Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 30, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating.

Mrs. Baxley was born on December 31, 1912 in Midland City, AL to the late Ansel Gideon and Minnie Adams Hudgens. She was married to B.L. "Pete" Davis, who preceded her in death in 1962. She was then married to Dr. Harry Bryan Baxley who passed away in 1966. Mrs. Baxley was a homemaker, a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville.
Survivors include one son, David L. Davis and his wife Aleathea of Tallahassee, FL; one daughter, Cynthia M. Davis of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Cindy Davis Sullivan, David Davis, Jr., and Harry B. Davis; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; a brother, Hill Hudgens and a sister, Grace Blevins. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
RAYMOND T. HAIRE
Raymond T. Haire, age 76, of Colquitt died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Miller County Hospital.
Mr. Haire was a member of Boykin Church of God. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was the Sunday School superintendent and trustee at Boykin Church of God.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Boykin Church of God with the Rev. Virgil Perkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Luraly Haire, Colquitt; three daughters, Harriett Blanton, Colquitt, Rita Dailey and son-in-law, Daniel, West Palm Beach, FL, Regina McCoy and son-in-law, Randy, Tallahassee, FL; one son, Randy T. Haire and daughter-in-law, Robin, Daytona Beach, FL; one sister, Pauline Barbon, Pensacola, FL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

GERALDINE HORNE
Geraldine “Gerri” Horne, 79, of Tampa, FL, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004.
A memorial service was held Sunday, April 18, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Tampa, FL.
Ms. Horne was an active member of First Church of God, and was a resident of Mary Walker where she was surrounded by many good friends.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Sheffield and Lottie Chapman, both of Tampa, FL and many nieces and nephews.
