Henry Lendon Holt, age 62, of Welaka, FL, who passed away November 18, 2004 after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services was held Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Garden in Donalsonville.
Mr.. Holt was born on March 15, 1942 to Wynell Brookins Holt of Iron City and the late Collie Holt. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a retired produce salesman with Thomas Produce Company of Boca Raton, FL.
He is survived by his mother; his wife of 43 years Harriet R. Holt of Bainbridge; son Henry Holt, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Bainbridge; daughter Ray Lyn Johnson and her husband William of Bainbridge; brother Tommy Holt and his wife Ann of Wellington, FL; two sisters of Bainbridge. Four grandchildren Ashley Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Henry Holt III and Hannah Ray Holt.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Clark, Curtis Russom, Beau Russom, Joe DeVingo, Brett Boyd, Larry Joiner, Fred Bishop, and Terry Heard. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
LILLIAN RILEY PALMER
Mrs. Lillian Riley Palmer, age 83, of Tallahassee, FL and formerly of Donalsonville and Dothan, AL passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004.
Funeral services for Mrs. Palmer was held on Monday, November 22, 2004 at 3:30 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville with the Rev. Charles Dennis and the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Mrs. Palmer was born on march 22, 1921 in Henry County, AL to the late A.P. and Rosa C. Brackin Riley. She was a housewife and bookkeeper, having worked with Singletary & Carmichael in Dothan, AL and the Leon County School System in Tallahassee, FL. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist church in Donalsonville where she was a member of the Workers Guild Circle.
Mrs. Palmer leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, A.J. Palmer of Tallahassee, FL; two sons, Riley D. Palmer and his wife Diane of Monticello, FL and Morris R. Palmer and his wife Teri of Port St. Joe, FL; two daughters, Janice P. Pedler and her husband Robert of Tallahassee, FL and Charlotte P. Maxey and her husband Richard of Wakulla, FL; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by two sister, Ouida Mae Swain and Jeanette Riley.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Teat, Alan Palmer, Jimmy Hammit, Van Brackin, Tom Spindler, and Wayne Palmer. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
GEORGE B. WILLIAMS
George B. Williams, 90, of Tallahassee, FL, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at his residence.
Graveside services were held Monday, November 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak City Cemetery with Dr. Charles Knight officiating.
Mr. Williams was born September 13, 1914 in Monticello, FL. He was a member of Riverside Park United Methodist Church in Flagler Beach, FL and worked in the Forestry field. He was a US Army WWII Veteran and was involved with Forestry. He graduated from the School of Forestry at the University of Florida and was a member of the Florida Forest Service.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Annie Golden Renfroe Williams; two nephews, Frank (Elaine) Williams of Hernando, FL; Steve (Ilona) of Edgewater, MD; five nieces, Betty (Jack) Kane of Tallahassee, FL; Lucy (Taylor) Littleton of Auburn, AL; Harriett McIntyre of Monroe, MI, Betty (Tony) Vecchinone of Natick, MA, Dorothy Starbird of Sequinn, WA; two caregivers, Wendy Lee and Monica James; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Dr. and Mrs. John Franklin Williams.

CLEONE REGAN
Cleone Regan, 73, of Morgan, died Thursday, November 25, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, at 1:30 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Cemetery.
Mrs. Regan resided in Albany for 35 years before moving to Morgan. She graduated from Miller County High School in 1948 and received a B.S. degree in education from Valdosta State University in 1985, a M.S. degree in Business Education Administration in 1987 from Georgia Southwestern University, and a Ed. S. degree in 1990 from the University of Georgia. She taught data processing and was an accounting instructor at Albany Technical College from 1974 to 1988 and was the vice president of administrative services at Albany Technical College from 1988 until 1992. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William E. (Bill) Regan of Morgan; one son, Ken A. Regan of Morgan; one grandson, Dallas D. Regan of New York, NY; one granddaughter, Layla R. Taylor of Albany; one great-grandson, Coley A. Taylor of Albany; one brother, James Everson of Colquitt; and one sister Margaret Pickle of Colquitt.

DOROTHY FUDGE HEARN
Dorothy Fudge Hearn, 87, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Colquitt, died Monday, November 22, 2004, in St. Petersburg, FL.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. in Colquitt City Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Romigh officiating.
Mrs. Dorothy was the eldest daughter of Jewel Shaw Fudge and Felix Edwin Fudge Jr. She was married to Louie H. Hearn in 1938 and was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years. She resided in St. Petersburg, FL for eight years. Except for the four years she lived in Valdosta, she was a life-long resident of Colquitt. Mrs. Hearn was educated in the Miller County Schools, traveled in Europe and attended Shorter College in Rome, GA. She established and operated The Gift Shop in the 1950s, which for many years, provided quality gifts and a meeting place for the community. She was a homemaker and a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Robert P. Hearn and wife Elaine of St. Petersburg, FL, Louie H. (Bud) III and wife Carolyn of Sea Island; one sister, Peggy Fudge Smith and husband Elton of Dothan, AL; one sister-in-law, Toni Fudge of St. Petersburg, FL; four grandchildren, Nicole Walbridge and husband Greg of Atlanta, Preston Hearn and wife Rebecca of St. Petersburg, FL, Leslie Hearn of Sea Island, and Alex Hearn of Boulder, CO; and one great-granddaughter, Kate Walbridge of Atlanta.

BERTIE LOUISE MIMS POWELL
Mrs.Bertie Louise Powell, age 98 of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Colquitt died Sunday, November 28, 2004 in Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
Mrs. Powell was born June 3, 1906 in Miller County. She was a member of the Colquitt First Baptist Church, Worthy Matrons of Eastern Star Cappie Chapter 348 and was a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hal Burrell officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Powell, Phillip Powell, John Federico, Neil Flowers, Nick Flowers, and Patrick Flowers.
Visitation will be at Colquitt Funeral Home Tuesday, November 30, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Survivors include one son, Gene Powell and wife, Jo Ann, Hoover, AL; one daughter, Anita Purvis and husband, Jack, Brandon, MS; two brothers, Lonnie Mims, Minder, NV, Max Mims, Colquitt; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Powell and two sons, Pat Powell and Bill Powell.

LUCILLE MITCHELL SUMMERS
Lucille Mitchell Summers, age 96, of Turin, GA died Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at her residence.
A native of Fayette County, she was born June 8, 1908, the daughter of the late Thomas Claude and Virginia Buchanan Mitchell. She graduated from Fayette County High School in 1929 and attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She had made her home in Turin since 1949.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Haney Summers. Mrs. Summers was a member of The Turin United Methodist Church. Surviving her are her children, Emily Wilson and her husband Charles of Turin; a son, Kelley and his wife Maxine of Colquitt. Her grandchildren are Al Summers and his wife Anita of Ellijay, Suzanne Mears and her husband Timmy of Leesburg, Kevin Wilson and Karla Wilson of Turin; great-grandchildren, Amanda Mears, Matt Mears, Savannah Summers and Abby Summers. A sister, Tommie Womble, of Union City, also survives her.
Arrangements are being handled by McKoon Funeral Home. Funeral services was conducted Friday, December 3, 2004 at 2:00 PM at The Turin United Methodist Church with Reverend Griff Jones and Reverend Scott Brown officiating. RET. LT. COL. JAMES A. TAYLOR
Ret. Lt. Col. James A. Taylor, 86, of Dothan, AL, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL, with Dr. Lawson Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge.
Pallbearers are full Military Service. Honorary pallbearers are Duke Davis, General Roget Peterson, and the Wilbur Walton Sunday School Class.
Mr. Taylor was born February 17, 1918 in Brunswick County, VA. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL. he was a member of the Wibur Walton Sunday School Class, Officer’s Candidate School, Command and General School Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Air War College, Maxwell A.F. Base, AL, Industrial College Emergency Management of the National Economy.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jo and husband Dr. Bruce of Woodham, MD; two grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Geneva Grubb of Tampa, FL; Patricia Stewart, Corvallis Montana; one niece, Joan Lochridge of Tampa; one brother-in-law, James Edward of Macon; great nieces and nephews, Susan, Elaine, and Marshall Lochridge; Patsy Garrett, Tracy Edwards, Suzanne Lassiter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Chiles and Martha Mason Clary Taylor; and his wife, Mary Evelyn Taylor.

WILMON GERALD LONG
Rev. Wilmon Gerald Long, age 72, of Donalsonville passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services was held Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Donalsonville Church of God with Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment followed at the Oakview Church of God Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Rev. Long was born in Ashford, AL on October 27, 1932 to the late Rev. Hayes M. and Zorah Guy Long. He served in the US Army from 1949-1953, most of that time spent in the Panama Canal Zone. After his military service he was employed by Independent Life Insurance Company, retiring after 23 years of service. He was a licensed minister in the Church of God for 31 years and a pastor for 16 years before his retirement.
He is survived by two sons Rev. Stan Long and his wife Becky of Donalsonville and Ken Long and his wife Vickie of Mershon; two sisters Kay German, Barbara Chapman and her husband Max all of Donalsonville; three grandchildren Shara Horne and her husband Rev. Jeff, Jason Long and his wife Tiffany all of Donalsonville and Sky Long of Mershon; parents; his wife Aileen Moss Long and a sister Mary Jacob.
Pallbearers will be Mike Adams, Bill Moody, Antony Brookins, Wilton Albritton, Matthew Wetherington, and Gabriel Broxton. Military honors will be held by the U.S. Army. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
MICHAEL GLEEN JOHNSON
Michael Gleen Johnson, age 54, of Donalsonville passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Funeral services was held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Rev. Feff Robinson and Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Interment followed in Friendship memorial Gardens in Donalsonville.
Mr. Johnson was born in Seminole County on July 6, 1950 to Betty McMullen Johnson and the late Ed Johnson, Jr. He graduated North Miami High School in 1968, had owned and operated J & J Seafood and J & J Trailor Park since 1976 and also was and electrical contractor. He was a member of the Iron City Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rhonda Johnson of Donalsonville, his mother Betty Johnson of Donalsonville; two sons, Robbie Johnson and his wife Leslie of Donalsonville and Todd Johnson of Iron City; Two step-children Misty Silvey and her husband Dave and Bob Johnson all of Tennessee; as well as a step-granddaughter Olivia Silvey of Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Vann Hornsby, John Easom, Roger Braswell, Sammy Reese, Brad Hornsby and John Pleasant. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
JIMMIE L. MOULTON
Mr. Jimmie L. “Pete” Moulton, age 76, of Donalsonville passed away Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Moulton was held Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 8, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Moulton was born in Miller County on November 9, 1928 to the late Tom and Johnnie Fiveash Moulton. He was a retired farmer, and he was chosen soil and water conservationist of the year in Miller County in the mid 1980’s. Mr. Moulton was married to the late Florence Adams Moulton who preceded him in death in July 2001.
He is survived by two sons John Edward Moulton and Tommy Moulton both of Donalsonville; two brothers Kenneth Moulton of Iron City and Bill Moulton of Tallahassee, FL; two sisters Jewel Easom of Donalsonville and Mandy Williams of Marietta. Four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild also survive. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
