Leslie Lynwood Sanders, 71, of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in Bainbridge.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel in Bainbridge with Rev. Daniel Tomberlin and Rev. Danny Von Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Eugene Sanders, Matt Breeden, Marcus Breeden, Lynn Webb, and Junior Chinell.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mr. Sanders was born March 13, 1933 in Baker County to Odon Vison Sanders an Lucy Black Sanders. He married Nina Luease Chinell on March 3, 1952. He was a retired security guard from Elberta Crate & Box Company and retired owner/operator of Sanders One Stop.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Chinell Sanders of Bainbridge; three sons, Lynwood Sanders of Prattville, AL, Eugene Sanders of Bainbridge, and Mickael Sanders of Colquitt; one daughter, Nysia S. Breeden of Brinson; two brothers, Perry Sanders of Bainbridge and Horace Sanders of Donalsonville; one sister, Dorothy Sanders of Bainbridge; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

HAZEL JOYNER HOUSTON
Hazel Joyner Houston, age 88, of Dothan, AL and formerly of Miller County passed away Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a short illness.
Funeral services was held Saturday, January 1, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Olive Grove/Rock Pond Primitive Baptist Church in Iron City with Elder Ross Plowden officiating. Interment followed at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Enterprise Church Rd. in Colquitt.
Mrs. Houston was born in Bay County, FL on September 9, 1916 to the late Frank and Marguerite Spells Joyner and lived there until later moving to Miller County. She was a homemaker and a member of Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Iron City and was preceded in death by her husband Elder Claude C. Houston in January 2001.
She is survived by one son, Willie C. Houston and wife Sharon; granddaughter Darlene H. Willis and husband Lance of Northport, AL; step-grandchildren Bill DeLoney and wife Kara, Cameron DeLoney and wife Kendall, and great-grandson Austin all of Dothan, AL. Special nieces Janie Kent and husband Dale, and Frances Weatherford all of Winter Haven, FL and Mildred Rycroft of Mexico Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sister Addie Joyner Rycroft and Jewel Joyner Wade and one nephew Joseph E. Rycroft. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Waymon Donley
Waymon Donley, age 56, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services was held Friday, January 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM EDT at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Deith Etheridge officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Mr. Donley was born in Seminole County on March 8, 1948 to the late Collie and Addie Martin Donley. He was a life long resident of Seminole County until 1991; when he moved to Gordon, AL. He worked as a meat cutter in the food industry and was presently employed at Efurds of Cowarts, AL.
He is survived by his wife Merlene Etheridge Donely of Gordon, AL, a son Troy Donley and his wife Penny of Desoto, GA; two daughters Sandra Kay Donley of Jakin, GA and Cynthia Donely Seago and her husband Mike of Donalsonville, sisters Vaughn Myers and her husband Tony of Atlanta, GA; Sarah Vickers and her husband Mike of Slocomb, AL. Also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Oscar Flemings, and one brother Stevie Ray Donley. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
LILLIE PEARL THOMPSON
Lillie Pearl Thompson Hewitt, age 73, of Donalsonville passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005 after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services was held Friday, January 7, 2005 at 4:00 PM EDT at Bascom Baptist Church with Rev. Corbin Hicks officiating. Interment followed in the Bascom Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL.
Mrs. Hewitt was born in Coffee County, AL on March 29, 1931 to the late Leslie and Lemmer Boutwell Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband Sebren Hewitt. She was a homemaker and before her illness she worked at Sunnyland in Marianna, Fl.
She is survived by two sons Rickey Hewitt and Steve Hewitt of Donalsonville: one daughter Terri and Frankie Lawson of Iron City. Grandchildren Amy Hewitt, Laura Nantz, Bogie Lawson and Jeffery Lawson. Great-Grandchildren Jasmine Nantz, Dylana Johnson and Dylan Hewitt.
Pallbearers will be Billy Daniels, James Daniels, Ronnie Brown, Gleen Brown, Mickey Smith and Paul Nantz. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
OLLIE MERLE GIBSON
Ollie Merle Gibson, 84, of Bainbridge, died Sunday, January 9, 2005, in Colquitt.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Odom and Brother Winfred Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Larry Cutchens, Travis Miller, Benny Wayne Cook, Tony Miller, Gary Peter, and Randy Moore.
Mrs. Gibson was born July 2, 1920 in Houston County, AL to the lat Forrest and Matie Huff Forehand. She lived in Decatur County for the past 50 years before moving to Miller County. She was a retired housekeeping supervisor for Bainbridge Memorial Hospital and was a member of Memphis Hill Baptist Church in Cottonwood, AL.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Baggett of Lawrenceburg, TN, Lou Cutchens of Blakely, Gennie Cook of Colquitt, and Wanda Fleming of Coleman; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey “Hoot” Gibson, and her parents.

WILLIE J. "BUDDY" KING
Willie J. “Buddy” King, 76, of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Malone, FL.
Pallbearers are William King, Sr., Charles King, Jr., Rusty King, Dusty King, Josh Trawick, and David King, Jr.
Visitation is Friday, January 21, 2005 at 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mr. King was born December 19, 1928, in Malone, FL, then moved to Decatur County in 1956. He was a heavy equipment operator for the State of Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Willie Lamar King, of Bainbridge; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Virginia Chambliss King; and his parents, Barney and Zennie Lee Grice King.

PAULINE PHILLIPE CHAMBLESS
Pauline Phillips Chambless, of Barnesville, died Saturday, January 22, 2005, in a Spalding County Healthcare facility.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant View Church of God Cemetery in Damascus.
Mrs. Chambless was a native of Baker County, but had lived in Lamar County for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Phillips and the late Mrs. Roddie Poole Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Jessie Oliver Chambless. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita Brown of Barnesville and Elizabeth Gordon of Riverdale; one son, Jesse O Chambless Jr. of Ellijay; one brother, Ben Hill Phillips of Colquitt; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

LILA FORTENER TOOLE
Mrs. Lila Fortener Toole, 81, 543 Hwy 32 East, Leesburg, died Friday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral service will be held Monday at 3 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home, Albany, with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Harrell officiating.
Mrs. Toole was a native of Kibbee, GA, and had lived in Leesburg for a number of years. She was the bookkeeper at Albany Beverage Company for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg, the Agape Sunday School Class and was a member of the Leesburg Red Hat Ladies.
Survivors include Greg Toole and his wife Faye, Leesburg; a brother James Fortener, Kibbee and two grandsons, Jim Toole and Jake Toole.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.

Barbara Hudson, of Newton, died Saturday, January 8, 2005, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Crown Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Entombment followed.
A native of Tenton, NJ, Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include three sons, Kent Hudson and wife Cindy, Larry Hudson, and Mark Hudson and wife Angie, all of Newton; two grandchildren, Allen Hudson and wife Brandi of Newton, and Jesse Hudson of West Point; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Hudson of Cassville, MS, and Tyler Hudson of Newton.

Dorothy Jones, age 65 of Colquitt died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Mrs. Jones was born May 19, 1939 in Seminole County. She was a private care taker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Graveside services were held Thursday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Buddy Sherrer, Richard Dukes, Lucas Brooks, Sterlin Stinson, Randy Richardson, and Richard McConnell.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Jones, Colquitt; three sons, Terry E. Jones, Jonathan N. Jones, Colquitt, Tony G. Jones, Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Bobbie Hart, Colquitt, Rose Nell Cross, Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
