We regret to announce the passing of Rayleen Gae McDaniel, age 33, of Iron City, GA who passed away Sunday evening, February 27, 2005 in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2004 at 4:00 PM at the Donalsonville Church of God in Donalsonville, GA. with the Rev. Billy Dawson and Rev. Stan Long officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, GA Visitation will be held Wednesday March 2, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Rayleen was born in Boise, ID on December 30, 1971 to Phillip and Sherry Elliott McDaniel. She had resided in this area for the past six years and was employed as a Para Professional in the Pre-K Department in the Seminole County School System. She attended Donalsonville Church of God and was a member of Unity Church of God in Iron City, GA.
She is survived by her father Phillip McDaniel of Iron City, GA; her mother Sherri Elliott Rayne of Nampa, ID; one daughter Alyshia George, two sons Raymund McDaniel and Alex McDaniel all of Iron City, GA; paternal grandmother Martha Ann McDaniel of Iron City, GA; paternal grandfather Woodrow McDaniel of Donalsonville, GA; three sisters Pamelo Elliott of Modesto, CA, Ellen McDaniel of Boise, ID and Kym Martin of Phoenix, AR; two brothers Steve Troyer of Modesto,CA and Kenny Troyer of Middleton, ID.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Leo and Thelma Brahms.
Pallbearers will be Herman Enfinger, Carl Scott, Robert Scott, Randall Jackson, Mike Adams and Wendell Cross. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Donalsonville Church of God Children's Fund, 5060 Hwy. 91, Donalsonville, GA 39845.

PAULINE MARTIN DAVIS
Pauline Martin Davis, 95, of Breckenridge, TX, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Breckenridge, TX, with the Rev. Harrell Braddock and Rev. Andrew Channer officiating. Graveside services will be held March 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, with the Rev. Luther Hastey officiating.
Mrs. Davis was born on October 31, 1908 in Decatur County to the late John Alexander and Florence Brinson Martin. She attended school in Seminole County. Pauline married George Bush Davis on June 20, 1929 in Donalsonville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bainbridge, where she attended the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and a member of the Sunshine Club in Donalsonville. In 1985, Pauline moved to Texas. While living in Breckinridge, she was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Quilters Club. She was also a volunteer at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri and husband John Walker of Breckenridge; one sister, Nita Harrell of Donalsonville; two grandchildren, Kim Marguess of Ft. Worth, TX and Bryan Walker of Round Rock, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan Marguess, Kaitlyn Walker, Brynalise Walker, and Caleb Walker.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, four brothers, and one daughter. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
JOHN LEE DRAKE JR.
John Lee Drake Jr., 82, of Donalsonville, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Wesley Manor in Dothan, AL.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville with Dr. Randy Mickler and Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Pallbearers are Joe Drake, John Drake, Greg Drake, Jimmy Drake, Gene Drake, Jack Owen, Dr. Claude Ashley, and Buck Parks. Members of the Webb Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 8, 2005 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mr. Drake was born in Seminole County on December 26, 1922 to the late John Lee St. and Nellie Saunders Drake. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1940 and attended the University of Georgia and the Georgia Military College. He married the former Mildred Ashley on December 3, 1946. Mr. Drake had been engaged in farming and was a realtor. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, a member of the Webb Bible Class and the Friendship United Methodist Men. He was also a member of the Seminole County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ashley Drake of Donalsonville; three daughters, Cissy Harrison and husband Glynn of Watkinsville, Diane Mickler and husband Dr. Randy Mickler of Marietta, Kathy Griffin and husband Kerry of Carrollton; two brothers, Wallace Drake and wife Joanne and Billy Gene Drake and wife Marie, both of Donalsonville; one sister, Doris Owen of Donalsonville; seven grandchildren, Rob Mickler and wife Susan, Ashley Purcell and husband Lee, Amy Boyd and husband Joe, Alan Harrison, Lauren Griffin, Scott Griffin, and Kelli Griffin; two great-grandsons, Josh Boyd and Drew Mickler. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
ROBERT HENRY MILNES
Mr. Robert Henry Milnes, age 61, of Albany died Monday, March 7, 2005, in Americus.
Mr. Milnes was born March 23, 1943, in Providence, Rhode Island. He was retired after 26 years with Roadway Trucking Company and was currently driving for Thorpe Trucking Company in Albany.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Worsley officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10 at Colquitt Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Pallbearers were Z.T. Padgett, James Thorpe, Steve Lamb, Raleigh Cravey, Dusty Townsend, and Jerry Alberison.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy M. Hall and son-in-law, Kevin, Colquitt, Lisa M. Rogers and son-in-law Adam; two sistes, Doloris Holt, Athens, Phyllis Spear, Lake Moor, IL; three grandchildren, Lynleigh Kaye Hall, Beth Anne Hall, Laney Hall; and another one is expected in October.

RONNIE MUSGROVE
Mr. Ronnie Musgrove, age 61 of Bainbridge died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Memorial Manor.
Mr. Musgrove was born November 7, 1943 in Decatur County. He had lived most of his life in Decatur County. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Faith and was a bead builder with the tire and rubber industry.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elder Emory Carlton and Elder Evan Blanton officiating. Interment followed in Pisgah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Kelly, Edward Kelly, Wayne Blanton, Billy Bryant, David Evans, and Joseph Kelly.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Luz Baculanta Musgrove, Bainbridge; one daughter, Wendy Causey, Worth County; one son, Ronnie Musgrove, Jr., Cordele; one sister, Margaret Bryant, Worth County; two brothers, Eddie Musgrove, Faceville, Curtis Musgrove, Jacksonville; and three grandchildren.

VIRGINIA MILTON DAVIS
Virginia Milton Davis, 91, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home in Bainbridge.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel in Bainbridge with the Rev. Joe Hart officiating. Interment followed in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Camilla.
Mrs. Davis was born February 10, 1914 in Baker County, the daughter of Holiday Flowers Rachel and Maude June Arnold Rachel. She was a retired food service manager with the Dade County School Board. She was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Willie Delma Milton and Thomas B. Davis.
Survivors include one son, James R. Milton of Climax; one daughter, Diane Braswell of Bainbridge; ten grandchildren, Cheryl M. Edens, Jennifer Milton, Jimmy Milton, Justin Milton, Jarrod Milton, Sharon East, Lisa East Judkins, Brent East, and Rachelle Menacher; and nine great-grandchildren.

DAVID PATTON RICHARDSON
David Patton Richardson, 59, of Colquitt, died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at 4:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Talmadge Worsley and Rev. Boyd Evans officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
Active pallbearers are Kent Richardson, Bobby Richardson Jr., Thad Richardson, Stephen Richardson, Tony Richardson, Garrett Richardson, and Tyler Richardson, his nephews. Honorary pallbearers are men of New Salem Free Will Baptist Church, Members of Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion, and past and present faculty and staff of Miller County School System.
Visitation will be 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
Mr. Richardson was born March 30, 1945 in Early County. After graduating from Miller County High School in 1963, Mr. Richardson served in the Army from 1965–1967 and was wounded in combat in Vietnam. He was awarded the silver star for gallantry in action, bronze star for heroism in ground combat, and the purple heart for wounds received in action. He began teaching at Miller County High School in 1971 and was named assistant principal in 1980. He served as principal of Miller County High School from 1987 until retirement in 1999. He was also a member of the Miller County Retired Educators Association and a member of the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion. He was a member of New Salem Freewill Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Allie Mae Richardson of Colquitt; three daughters, Fran Fletcher and husband Trae of West Green, Patti Lowe and husband Buddy of Bainbridge, and Kimberly Johnson and husband Ansley of Donalsonville; his parents, Emory and Louise Richardson of Colquitt; four brothers, Bobby Richardson and Gordon Richardson, both of Colquitt, Tommy Richardson of Panama City, FL, and Phillip Richardson of Bainbridge; and one grandson, Blake Lowe of Bainbridge.

FRANCES E. ELLIS
On Saturday, March 12, 2005 the Lord looked down and saw Mrs. Nora was sick and so tired. In His love he stretched out His Loving arms and called her to her new home to live with him.
According to Striffler Hamby Mortuary the celebration services was held at Central Baptist Church of Columbus on Whitesbille Road on Tuesday March 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. Burial followed at Evergreen memory Gardens on St. Mary’s Road in Columbus. Pallbearers will be Greg Ellis, Tim Sirmon, Stenen Sirmon, Jeff Ellis, Aaron Stanley, Lindsey Mock.
Mrs. Nora was born to John H. Stanley and Gertude Granberry Stanley on July 26 1909, in Haleburg, AL. She lived with her loving parents until she met the love of her life for 65 years, William Henry Ellis. They married August 4, 1928.
Mrs. Nora was a member of Central baptist Church of Columbus. She had no degrees, but God gave her two talents that she used to care for and make her family and friends happy. Her delight was to invite people to share a special meal. All agree she had a talent to cook those special dishes. Her artistic and sewing talents were used to design and make special clothes. She shared her sewing, making tatting and other handiwork to make so many people happy when she shared these talents when she made gifts for so many friends and loved ones. She retired from the Monogramming Company in Columbus.
Mrs. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Oswall Stanley and wife Annell, and four younger brothers and sister. She is survived by three children: a daughter, Vivian McCrory & husband, J.B. of Columbus; two sons Billy Ellis and wife Mary Lou of Semmes, AL and Jerry Ellis and wife Hildred of Selma, AL. Her three children gave her four wonderful grandchildren: Debbie (Deb) McCrory of Columbus; Greg Ellis and wife Amber of Semmes, AL; Stephanie Sirmon and husband Tim of Semmes, AL; and Jeffrey Ellis and wife Sherley of Troy, AL. She had six great-grandchildren that were special to her. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond Stanley & wife Lou of Gulfport, MS.
A special thank you to those at Azalea Trace Nursing Home and friends who showed their love and being so kind to our mother and to Hospice Personnel on Moon Road who shared so much love to Mrs. Nora and her children during those days.

Rupert O. Lewis, age 83, of Donalsonville passed away Monday, March 14, 2005 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Lewis was born in Dothan, AL on March 31, 1921 to the late Lonnie F. “Gabe” and Mahala “Haley” Lewis. Rupert was a farmer, a passionate outdoorsman and a faithful member of the Oakview Church of God for more than 57 years. He married Hazel Bernice Gay on August 31, 1940.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughter, Anne and Ronn Miller of Donalsonville and Becky and Larry McMasters of Norfolk, VA; two sons, Levonne and Becky Lewis of Donalsonville and Rev. James Allen and Demaris Lewis of Savannah; one brother Billy wade and Mary Lou Lewis of Donalsonville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and sister, Jewel Truett.

Ruby Doris Burke Harlow, age 69, of Iron City passed away Thursday Morning, March 17, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital.

Mrs. Harlow was born in Seminole County on September 15, 1935 to the late Gordon and Ester D. Bodiford Burke. She had lived in this area all of her life, was a homemaker and had attended Donalsonville Church of God in the past. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Brantley Harlow and one brother Lamar Burke.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Carol Smith and her husband Raymond of Donalsonville; son Billy Marshall Harlow of Albany; special companion Sonny Yeates; brother Ladon Burke and his wife Linda of Iron City; sister Betty Smith of Donalsonville; sister-in-law Beatrice Burke of Iron City. She is also survived by three grandchildren Travis Taylor, Rene Smith and Brantley Smith.
