Cynthia Lynn Daniel
Cynthia Lynn Daniel, 49, died April 26, 2009 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Olympia, Washington but grew up in Smyrna, Georgia. She and her family moved to Chattanooga in 2002. Cindy’s life can be summed up in three words: loving, fun and loveable. She endeavored to make people feel loved and accepted. She would often joyfully throw her arms around people and give them a big squeeze. Her love for people was always genuine and generous--just like her love for God. Even when she was hurting or tired from chemotherapy or cancer, she was in church worshipping God. She was a member of the Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church where her husband is the pastor. She made life fun by involving people in playing board games or card games. Just to be sure she would have a game that would be enjoyed by all she stocked her game closet with all kinds of games. No matter the age or skill level, she had a game on hand to entice visitors to play. Her ready smile and quick wit made the darkest hour glow with joy. As a result she was loveable. Even most of those with calloused hearts would eventually melt in the warmth of her personality. Her ability to be authentic and transparent was the foundation for deep, meaningful relationships.
