Donald R. "Donnie" Wells, 51, of Ider, Ala., died Dec. 23, 2005. Survivors include daughters Shannon Wells and Ashley Smalley of Midland, Ala.; son Jeremy L. Wells of Ider, Ala.; sister Gracie Gorham of Dutton, Ala.; brothers Roy W. Wells of Pikeville, Tenn., George Wells of Ider, Ala., and Norman Wells of Dutton, three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services were held Dec. 26 at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel. Arrangements were by Corner Stone Funeral Chapel.
MARY LOU WEST
Mary Lou West, 74, of Higdon died Dec. 20, 2005 at a Huntsville Hospital. West owned and operated Lou's fashions in Higdon before retiring. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Elsie Lynn and Tommy Cleckler of Mapelsville, Ala., daughter Valorie West of Higdon; son and daughter-in-law Mark Rufus and Chanda West of Higdon; sister Avie Lona Hall of Sheffield, Ala., nine grandchildren and one grandchild.
MAE WILKS
Mae Whitaker Wilks, 89, of Huntsville, Ala., formally of Ider, Ala., died Dec. 25, 2005 at her residence. She was a 50-year member of Ider Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husbands Elmer Whitaker and Elburn Wilks; daughter Mary Frances Whitaker; parents, Miller and Mamie Smith; brother William Smith. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Linda Whitaker, Henagar, Ala.; step-son and daughter-in-law Charles and Gail Wilks, Decatur, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law Faye and Arlen Moore, Huntsville, Ala.; step-daughter Wynnell Hammonds, Henagar, Ala.; brothers J.B. Smith, Birmingham, Ala., Walter Smith, Atlanta; sister Sara Smith, Nashville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CST today in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with minister Carey Waddell officiating. Interment will be in Green Haven Cemetery in Pisgah, Ala. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. CST until time of service. Arrangements by Kerby Funeral Home, Henagar, Ala.
DONNA SARGENT DURHAM
Mrs. Donna Sargent Durham, 57, of Scottsboro, Ala., died December 11, 2005, at Jackson County Hospital.
Survivors include husband, Kenneth Talley, of Scottsboro; daughters, Taneca Stanbrook, of Huntsville, and Brandy Durham, of Flat Rock; brothers, David Sargent, of Macedona, and Tony Sargent, of Sylvania; sisters, Karen Malone, of Rainsville and Kristi Garner, of Bridgeport; and one grandchild, Brandon Stanbrook.
Funeral services were held on December 13, at the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel, with Dewayne Sargen officiating.
Interment was in the Green Haven Cemetery at Pisgah.
Arrangements were made by Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar, Ala.
DELMUS MCELHANEY
Delmus Harold McElhaney, 55, passed away December 15, 2005. He was an avid fisher, enjoyed gardening and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father Luther McElhaney.
Survivors include his loving wife Carolyn McElhaney; daughters, Sandy McElhaney, Marion Parrish, Edith McElhaney, all of Michigan, Cindy Scogin, Pisgah, Ala.; son Timothy McElhaney, Michigan; sisters Ann McElhaney Hidgon, Huntsville, Ala., Betty Steele, Scottsboro, Ala., Jane McElhaney Dugus, Fyffe, Ala.; brothers Lloyd Stevenson McElhaney, Palm Bay, Fla., Ernest Carl McElhaney, Valley Head, Ala., Artis Eugene McElhaney, San Diego, Calif.; mother Madeline McElhaney; six step-children Sudie B. Smith, James A. Beason, Gary L. Beason, Audie M. Beason, Penny B. Johnson and Bryon G. Beason; eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating.

JEAN SHULL
Jean Johnson Shull, 65, of Ider, Ala., passed away December 18, 2005, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents Casey and Joyce Walker Johnson and a granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Susan Shull, Chattanooga, Nathan and Karen Shull, Ider, Ala.; three daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Cecil Daniel, Henagar, Ala., Tammy Sims and Angel Johnson, both of Ider, Ala.; brothers, Cohen Johnson, Bridgeport, Ala., Grail and Wayne Johnson, both of Ider, Ala., Kenneth Johnson, Cleveland, Tenn., David Johnson, Henagar, Ala., Gary Johnson, Rossville, Ga.; sisters, Brenda Pryor, Ider, Ala. And Gloria Lawson, Rossville, Ga.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on December 20 in the Kerby Chapel
Interment was in Adamsburg Cemetery.

RENE TINKER
Mrs. Rene Tinker, 87, of Pisgah, Ala, died on December 12, 2005, in Chattanooga. She was a member of Free Hill Baptist Church in Rosalie.
She preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Shrader Whisenant; husband, H. Ray Tinker; daughter, Madgeline Tinker; brothers, Robert, Hugh Boy and Earl D. and Harrison (Poss) Whisenant; sisters, Addie Carlton and Ruby Carson.
Survivors include sons, Ray Tinker, Jr. of Ringgold, Ga; Robert Wayne Tinker and Charles Edward Tinker both of Pisgah; daughters, Gaynell Day of Pisgah and Mildred Inez Brown of Section; sisters, Lucile Russel of Florida and Leola Shirey of Rainsville; step-brother, Clyde Sartin of Ider; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on December 14 at the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Garren and Rev. Watson Williams officiating.
Interment was in Pisgah Cemetery.

JIMMIE BOLTON
Jimmie Jackson Bolton, 97, of Trenton died Dec. 30, 2005. She was of the Church of God faith. Throughout the years she taught Sunday School at Kellys Ferry Church of God, Avans Church of God and was later a member of General Church of God.
She was preceded in death by husband Charlie Scott Bolton; daughters Mary Fischer and Bonnie McNabb; son Paul Bolton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sons and their wives John and Gerthal, James and Willadean and Duvol and Joyce Bolton, all of Trenton, Reece Bolton and William and Unita Bolton of Chattanooga.; daughters and husbands Ethel and Verlon Brown of Huntsville, Ala., Sue and Joe Bolton of Rossville, and Judy and Sammy Jones of Trenton; daughter-in-laws, Tina Bolton of Trenton and Neocia Bolton of Chattanooga; 35 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Burton of Dayton, Tenn., and brother George Jackson of Estille Springs, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 1 in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Anderson and Rev. Ferrell Smith officiating.
Pallbearers were Steve Bolton, Ronnie Bolton, Bruce Nelly Jr., Lamar NcNabb, Tony Jones and Johnny Forrester.
Interment was in Sequatchie Memorial Gadens in Kimbell, Tenn.

ALTON BOMIAN
Alton Glenn Bomian, 65, of Bryant, Ala., died Dec. 28, 2005. He was a lifelong resident of Bryant, was a retired potato farmer and was of the Free Holiness Faith.
He was preceded in death by parents Sam and Minnie Bomian and sisters Shirley Huey and Opal Pritchett.
Survivors include wife Linda Bomian, daughter and son-in-law Ann and Ken Harding of Stevenson, Ala., brothers Leo Bomian and Sammy Bomian of Bryant, sisters Pauline Barnes and Kathy Calloway of Bryant, grandsons Jeremy and Susan Harding and Josh Harding, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 in the Bryant Chapel with Brother Edwin Spurgeon officiating.
Interment was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

HOUSTON MORGAN
Houston Lee Morgan, 83, of Jasper, Tenn., died Dec. 30, 2005 in Chattanooga.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law James and Joy Morgan of Jasper, Tenn.; brothers Jr. Morgan of Dearborn, Mich., and Herbert Morgan of Fort Oglethorpe; grandchildren James Troy Morgan and Lisa Lanford; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 1 in Kerby Chapel.
Interment was in Unity Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Shankles officiating.

MARIE SMITH
Clara Marie Smith, 80, of Rising Fawn died Dec. 31, 2005. She was a member of the Rising Fawn United Methodist Church. She was retired from Trenton Spinning Mill.
She was preceded in death by parents W.M. and Elsie Riddle and grandson Ricky Smith.
She is survived by daughters and their husbands Becky and Ben Byer and Debby and Chris Powell, both of Trenton; son Jim Smith, Jasper, Tenn., sisters Virginia Steele, Atlanta, Betty Wallin, Rising Fawn, and Barbara Smith, Wildwood; brothers Bill and Ernie Riddle, both of Rising Fawn; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 2 in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Chuck Carver officiating.
Interment was in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
