Chester C. Monroe, 92, of Henagar died Dec. 20, 2005 in Huntsville. He was preceded in death by parents Jessie and Susie Rooks Monroe, wife Ina Richey Monroe and brother Charles Edward Monroe. Survivors include daughters Damaris Williamson of Henagar and Donnia Monroe of Huntsville; daughter and son-in-law Mildred and Wendell Dawson of Henagar; brothers Gene Ladon Monroe and David Monroe both of Fyffe, Jessie Lynn Monroe of West Virginia; sisters Dessie Portwood of Chattanooga and Idel Runyon of Georgia; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 22 in Kerby Chapel. Interment was in Green Haven Memorial. Arrangements were by Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar, Ala.
WILLIE "BANJO" STONER
Willie L. "Banjo" Stoner, 71, of Lookout Mountain died Dec. 22, 2005 in a local hospital. Stoner was a lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain. He was retired from Roadway Express and was a member of Hinkle Baptist Church and of Teamsters Local 515. He was preceded in death by son Willie Kenton "Kent" Stoner and parents James and Sara Stoner. Survivors include wife of 51 years Sara Kirby Stoner; daughters Sabrina J. Long and Caprice D. Stoner of Lookout Mountain, Candyce L. Hitchcock of Soddy Daisy; son Colby T. Stoner of Lookout Mountain; brothers Pete Stoner of Chickamauga, Tom, Dick and Tilburn Stoner all of Rossville; sisters Annie Mahaffey of East Ridge and Audrey Murray of Lookout Mountain; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Dec. 24 in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Jim Lilly officiating. Interment was in Payne's Chapel Cemetery on Lookout Mountain. ESTHER SHRADER
Esther J. Shrader, 65, of Trenton died Dec. 31, 2005. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by husband Raymond Shrader.
She is survived by daughter Mechelle Rollins; sons Shawn and Scott Shrader, all of Trenton; sisters Linda Jeffery, Trenton, Imogene Hurst, Kissie Mills, Mo., and Nancy Carmedy of Hendersonville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blis Cribb officiating.
Interment was in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.

HENRY "LARRY" THURMOND
Henry Lowery "Larry" Thurmond, 64, of Ider died Dec. 27, 2005 in Resaca.
Survivors include son J.R. Thurmond of Tunnel Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law J.C. and Mary Thurmond of Chattanooga, Bobby and Shirley Thurmond of Flat Rock, Ala., sisters Thelma Smith of Shreveport, La., Dixie Nichols of Henagar; one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 in the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bud Laney officiating.
Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery at Pisgah.

GAYNELL WHITE
Gaynell "Gail" White, 56 of LaFayette died Dec. 26, 2005 at Memorial Hospital. White was an associate of the Lookout Community Services for many years.
Survivors include brothers Wendell White of Rossville, Lynn White of Rainsville; sisters Ovaline Davis of Ider, Marion Wilson of Flat Rock and Nola "Johnnie" Waldorp of Rossville.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim White officiating.
Interment was in Fuller Cemetery.

Carrie Elizabeth Inman McBryar Williams, 73, of Higdon, Ala died Dec. 18, 2005. Williams attended Davenport Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband J.B. McBryar; daughters Theresa and Linda, brother John D. Inman, and sister Millie Davis.
Survivors include husband Paul Williams of Slygo, daughters Charlotte Michaels of Alto, Tenn., Renee Gant of Higdon, Ala., Jennifer Phillips of Bryant, Ala.; son Stanley McBryar of Haines City, Fla., sisters Shirley Forshee of Higdon, Ala. Betty Mashburn of Tiftonia,, Tenn., and Patricia Tinker of Ider, Ala., brothers Bill Inman of Flat Rock, Ala., Arthur Inman of Tiftonia, Tenn., 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Higdon Free Holiness Church with brother Ray Davis, brother Darrell Whitley and brother J.B. Pritchett officiating.
Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Bryant, Ala.

Janie Mardell Crabtree, 94, of Trenton, formerly of Ider, Ala., died Feb. 13, 2006 at Dade Health and Rehab. Virgil "Jaybird" Cooper, 86, of Higdon, Ala., died Feb. 12, 2006 at his residence. He was retired from Ross-Meehan Foundry after 40 years of service. Wonley Dale Hendricks, 70, of Ider, Ala., died Feb. 8, 2006 at his residence. Hendricks was a member of the Henagar Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by parents Homer B. and I.B. Hendricks; son Thomas Lee Hendricks; brothers Aunzle, Cobi, Charles and Emory Hendricks; sister Betty Jean Hendricks. Billy Ray McCarty, 72, of Flat Rock, Ala. died Feb. 8, 2006. McCarty was retired from Mississippi Valley Steel in Chattanooga. He was a cattle farmer and was of the Baptist faith. McCarty was preceded in death by wife Dorothy McCarty. He was retired from Southern Centrifugal after 41 years of service He was preceded in death by parents Robert A. and Katherine Gass Woolbright, wife of 50 years Edith Woolbright; son James R. Woolbright; grandson Robert Leo York; brothers Charles Woolbright and Gilbert Price; sister Ethel Walker. Marjorie Annalee Crabtree of Bryant, Ala., died April 29, 2006. She was retired from Brock Candy Company and was a homemaker.
