Preston “Buck” McCleskey
Mr. Preston “Buck” McCleskey, age 77 of Canton passed away December 9, 2004.
Mr. McCleskey was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He retired from Fulton County Board of Education Transportation Department after 31 years of service. He served for many years as a school bus driver and then in administration before his retirement.
Survivors Include

Richard Carl Lightcap
Richard Carl Lightcap, 69, of Cumming died July 6, 2005 at Joan Glancey Hospital in Duluth.
A native of Home, PA, Mr. Lightcap was a retired supervisor for Mobil, working from 1963 to 1986 on off-shore oil rigs. He liked to hunt and fish. Mr. Lightcap is preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Ida Lightcap and brothers, Merle Lightcap, Robert Lightcap and Leroy Lightcap.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lightcap of Cumming; sons and daughters-in law, David and Valerie Lightcap of Cumming, Doug and Maude Lightcap of Lafayette, LA; sister and brother in law, Ida and Russ McCurdy of Indiana, PA, Harold; brothers and sisters-in law, Harold and Joanne Lightcap of Douglasville, GA, Leonard and Sara Lightcap of Indiana, PA, Samuel and Nancy Lightcap of Rochester Mills, PA; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, at 3:00 PM at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard R. Caldwell officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.

Robert Anderson
Mr. Robert Anderson, Age 79, of Jeffersonville, formerly of Gwinett County, Passed away Friday, December 10th 2004.
Gravesite services will be held Sunday, December 12th at 3PM, Cave Springs, Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rose Marie Parks Arvay
Rose Marie Parks Arvay, 89, wife of the late Joseph M. Arvay and a resident of Exmore, Virginia, died at Cumming Nursing Center in Cumming, Ga., on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006.
A native of Tangier, Virginia, Mrs. Arvay was the daughter of the late John Ross Parks and Lottie Crockett Parks. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Funeral services are being held at the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, Virginia, Sunday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Muender and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Haven Cemetery, Belle Haven. Family joined friends at Doughty Funeral Home in Exmore, Saturday evening, Jan. 21, from 7 to 8:30.
Mrs. Arvay is survived by six children, Pauline Osterberg of Greenville, Tenn., James Lee Lawson of Chesterfield, Va., Butch Harold Lawson of Atlanta, Ga., Theresa Alvaraz of Rehobeth, Del., Jay Parks of San Francisco, Calif., and Michael Arvay of Everette, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421.
Arrangements were made by Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore.

Ruth A. Hillyer
Ruth A. Hillyer, 79, of Jasper, GA died May 4, 2005 at Mountain Healthcare in Jasper.
A native of Boston, MA, Mrs. Hillyer was a homemaker. She lived in Bent Tree and loved to play golf. She is preceded in death by her husband, George John Hillyer.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kelly Hillyer and grandson, Tyler Hillyer, all of Alpharetta.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Wilbur (Buddy) Dale Harkins
Wilbur (Buddy) Dale Harkins, 72, of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Duluth, GA, died May 7, 2005 at Peachtree Christian Hospice following an extended illness.
Born July 24, 1932 in Kent, OH to the late Wilbur H. and Bessie L. Harkins, he was raised in Dahlonega, GA and graduated from Lumpkin County High School. Mr. Harkins was a Korean War veteran and worked for General Motors in Detroit, MI, the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and for Autosave.
A loving father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Harkins.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Darin Murphy of Gainesville, GA; sister, Doris Queener of Jacksboro, TN; stepsons, Tom Manus of Colorado Springs, CO, Terry Greer of Monroe, GA, Teddy Greer of Loganville, GA; grandchildren, Allan Greer of Loganville, GA, Abigail Manus and Tristan Manus of Colorado Springs, CO, Justin Murphy and Caleb Murphy, both of Gainesville, GA.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 10, at 2:00 PM at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerrell Pritchett officiating.
Interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Suches, GA.
Arrangements were made by McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, (770) 886-9899.

William Aloysius Fogarty
Mr. William Aloysius Fogarty, 93, of Cumming died May 26, 2005 at Northside Hospital Forsyth.
A native of New Haven, CT, Mr. Fogarty was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. Mr. Fogarty is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Timothy and Catherine O’Connor Fogarty.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fogarty of Cumming; daughter, Pamela Smith of Cincinnati, OH; son and daughter-in-law, William S. and Judith Fogarty of Alpharetta; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 31, at 10:00 AM at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Orange, CT with Fr. Dargan officiating. Interment was held in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven, CT.
Arrangements by McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, (770) 886-9899.
