George “Reg” Butts of 2353 Woodview Circle died on Wednesday, May 17, 2006.
Mr. Butts will lie-in-state at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of All Faiths with services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Constance Mincey Butts of Fort Valley; a son, Chad Hubbard of Atlant; a step son, Kerry Mincey of Fort Valley; his mother, Lillian R. Butts of Milledgville; seven brothers, Earl Butts, Wayne Butts, Spencer Butts, Bruce Butts, Johnny Butts, all of Milledgeville, Gary Butts of Las Vegas, Nev., and Michael Butts of California; three sisters, Barbara Scott of Irwinton, Joan Broadraye and Wanda Butts, both of Milledgeville; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Lillian Butts, 2353 Wood View Circle.

Carolyn Reed
Carolyn Crump Reed, 72, of Lake Sinclair died Friday, April 14, 2006.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Victory Baptist Church in Milledgeville with burial at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Macon.
Mrs. Reed was the daughter of the late Charlie Crump and Clarice McCook Crump Hamrick. She attended Virgil Powers and Old Lanier High School. She lived in Forsyth before moving to Milledgeville 28 years ago. She retired from Sara Lee Corp. as an inspector. Mrs. Reed was a lifetime member of Macon Motor Boat Club, member of Victory Baptist Church and member of Vessels of Clay Sunday School Class. She was a retired Pink Lady at Putnam General Hospital. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Carol Reed.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Paul Reed of Lake Sinclair; three sisters, Effie Jo Blizzard and husband Daniel of Lake Sinclair, Judy Franks and husband Ron of Shelby, N.C., and Pat Starley and husband Cecil of Gray; her mother-in-law, Leta Reed of Marshall, N.C.; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Maxwell of Marshall, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will received friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Lurene Harden Farrow of 108 Oglethorpe Street, Milledgeville, died on Friday, April 14, 2006, at her residence.
Services will be Tuesday in the Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home with Rev. Henry L. Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA.
Mrs. Farrow was born in Devereaux, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Jack Harden and the late Annie Lou Boyer Harden. She attended the public of Hancock, County, and Eddy High School in Milledgeville. She lived most of her adult life in Detroit, Mich., and was employed by the Chrysler Automobile Corporation. She was a member of the Solomon Temple Aspotolic Church. In 2002, she moved to Milledgeville and united with the Oak Grove Baptist Church No. One.
Survivors include three sisters, Edna Wright of Milledgeville, Blanche Spikes of Sparta and Lillian Finley and husband Fred of Akron, Ohio; four nieces, Linda Patman, Areatha Rivers, both of Milledgeville, Myrtis Bell of Akron, Ohio, and Rosetta Smedley and husband Tony of Charleston, West Virginia; two nephews, Bobby Chester of Milledgeville and Herbert Veal of Charleston, West Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

AUGUSTA - Laura Durden, formerly of Milledgeville, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at an Augusta hospital.
Services were Friday, April 7, 2006, at Saint Marys Catholic Church, Hwy 25 and Peach Road in Augusta.
Ms. Durden was the daughter of Gussie Ingram Durden and the late Julian Durden, Sr. and granddaughter of the late Cliff and Mollie Durden, and the late Jule and Laura Ingram, all of Milledgeville.
Survivors include her mother, Gussie Ingram Durden of Augusta; a daughter, Alesya Durden of Augusta; a brother, Julian Durden, Jr. of Augusta; a sister, Gussie Durden of Augusta; an uncle, Joe Ingram of Augusta; two aunts, Claudia Simmons of Atlanta and Eurica Gray of Washington, D.C; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

EATONTON - Aileen C. Griffin of 153-A Reid Drive died on Saturday, April 22, 2006, at an Eatonton health care facility.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Ronald “Pee Wee” Griffin of Eatonton; a daughter, Barbara Hadden of Greensboro; and four grandchildren.

C.B. Betha of 737 Hwy 24 East died on Sunday, April 23, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Betha will lie-in-state at 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church, Hwy 24 East, with services at 2 p.m.
Mr. Betha was born in Washington, County, where his formative years were spent before moving to Baldwin County. He was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church and the WMBS Society at Friendship Church. He retired from the Thiele Kaolin Company in Sandersville, Georgia, where he was employed for 40 years.
Survivors include a son, Hure Betha and wife Gail of MIlledgeville; a brother, James Whitehead and wife Mary of Swainsboro; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relative and friends.

Johnny Wall
John M. “Johnny” Wall, Jr., 49, died on Thursday, April 20, 2006.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wall was a life long resident of Baldwin County. He was a 1974 graduate of John Milledge Academy and was a retired Trooper First class, Georgia State Patrol and former owner of J & J Lawn and Garden and J & J Farms. He was a member of the Milledgeville Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Wall was predeceased by his father, J.M. Wall, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Jana Moore Wall; a daughter, Talisha Alligood; a son, John Thomas “J.T.” Wall; a stepdaughter, Lacey Green; two stepsons, Ashton Green and Matt Green; his mother, Shirley Dixon Wall; a sister, Nell Hendricks; and a nephew, Jason Hendricks, all of Milledgeville.

Frances Brown “Frankie” Tanner, 74, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2006.

Mrs. Tanner was a native of Dublin and had made her home in Milledgeville where she retired from the GA War Veterans Home. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Frances Watson, brothers and sisters, Donahue Brown, Kathleen Wilson, Roger Brown and Herman Brown.
Survivors include a son, Kevin G. Tanner, Sr. and wife Debbie of Macon; a daughter, Sheila Tanner Norris of Milledgeville; a brother, Gordon Brown of Augusta; a sister, Russell B. Loper of Newnan; five grandchildren, Lauren Tanner, Ashley Tanner, Grafton Tanner, Gideon Norris and Grayson Norris.
