Survivors include two children, Tweedy Parham of Eatonton and Marie Jackson of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Walter Parham of Evanston, Ill., Jim Parham of Eatonton and Johnny Parham of Atlanta; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Nellie Babb May, 88, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at National Healthcare of North Augusta after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Pine Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Warthen, with the Rev. William Moody officiating.
Mrs. May was a native of Baldwin County and was the daughter of the late Preston Brooks Babb and the late Leila Moran Babb. She lived in Augusta for many years. She worked in the children's department at Belk's in Daniel Village until her retirement. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Naomi Ruth Sunday school class. She was a member of the Cross Country Garden Club for many years and a volunteer at St. John's Towers and Blair House. Mrs. May was the widow of the late Wilbur May, a native of Warthen.
Survivors include three children, Joyce May Daniel of North Augusta, Joan May Law of Atlanta and W. Burke May of Greenville, S.C.; five grandchildren, Philip F. Law, Amy Law Raley, John Preston Daniel, Richard Brady Daniel and Thomas Bernard Daniel; and 11 great-grandchildren.

LAKE SINCLAIR - Katherine "Kitty" Pikulski Newsome, 63, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.

A native of Yonkers, N.Y., Mrs. Newsome made Bibb County her home most of her life and lived in Hancock County for the past 14 years. Mrs. Newsome was a retired grammar school teacher with the Bibb County Board of Education. She taught at the Redding Elementary School and at Rosa Taylor School.
Survivors include her husband Paul Newsome of Sparta; a daughter, Vicki Wilson and husband Eddie of Forsyth; a son, Stan Newsome and fiance Jennifer Porter of Macon; and four grandchildren, Chrissy Newsome of Warner Robins, Anna Wilson, James Newsome and Dylan Walsh, all of Forsyth.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight.

Dr. Carlos Montalvo, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.

A native of Havana, Cuba, Dr. Montalvo attended the University of Havana and practiced pediatric medicine in Cuba, prior to coming to the United States in 1966. He practiced geriatric medicine at Central State Hospital until his retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosy Huff and husband Steve of Milledgeville; a son, Carlos Montalvo of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Onelia Montalvo and Georgina Montalvo, both of Milledgeville; and three grandchildren, James Paul Huff of New Port Ritchie, Fla., Allison Huff and Lauren Huff, both of Milledgeville.

A native of Washington County, Mrs. Leverett was a retired employee of Rawlings Nursing Home. She was a member of the Poplar Springs Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents George W. Leverett and Bessie Simpson Leverett.
Survivors include a sister, Irene Adams of Sandersville; a brother, Walter Leverett of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with burial in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. C.K. Robertson and the Rev. Grant M. LeRoux Jr. will officiate.
Born in Harris County on Sept. 4, 1921, Mr. Harris retired from Southern Natural Gas after 25 years of service. He served in World War II in the South Pacific theater as a Marine. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and affiliated with St. Stephens Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Betty Warren Harris and an infant daughter, Deborah.
Survivors include four daughters, Lisa Harris Autry and husband Ken of Milledgeville, Margy Cesario and husband Jim of Augusta, Angeline Thurman and husband John and Berilyn Harris, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Steve Harris and wife Mary Martha of Harris County; a brother-in-law, Robert L.
