Robert K. Palmer, 92, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Monday Oct. 3, 2005 at Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Ga. He was born on Aug. 8, 1913 on Walton County, son of the late Robert A. Palmer and the late Etta Whitley Palmer. He was the retired owner of Palmer’s Service Station and Auto Parts. After living in Gwinnett County for a brief period he returned to the Mt. Joseph James (Jimmy) Jeffries, 73 of 1891 Access Road died Sept. 15, 2005 at Emory University Hospital where he had been a patient since late April. He was born on April 25, 1932, in Dade County, Fla., stepson of the late Cliff Rogers and Eria Knight Rogers of Social Circle. He worked for Williams Brothers Concrete Company and Blue Circle Concrete for 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Social Circle.
