Born Aug. 31, 1918 in Rochester, N.Y., Mr. Pyke was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
A funeral will be be Thursday, July 2, at 10 a.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Sam N. Billingsley, 80, of LaGrange, formerly of Hogansville, died June 30, 1998 at his home.
Born March 11, 1918 in Bauxite, Ark., Mrs. Billinglsey was the son of the late George Franklin Billingsley and Tempie O'Neal Billingsley. He was a retired antique car restorer and a deacon of Antioch Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for 28 years.
A funeral will be Friday, July 3, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Rev. R.C. Prescott and the Rev. Wesley Boatman officiating. Burial followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Born Nov. 29, 1931 in Coweta County, Mrs. Freeland was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church in Newnan. She worked to improve civil rights in the 1960s and 70s as a member of the Christian Council and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Mr. Wooten was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in Korea and Vietnam and was a retired mail carrier. He was a member of the Master Sergeants Association, Redwine United Methodist Church and Lakeland Masonic Lodge.
