Born Nov. 30, 1939 in Bartow County, Mr. Wilkey was the son of the late Frank William Wilkey.
A funeral will be Friday, July 10, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald R. McGaha officiating. Burial will follow at Senoia City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Friday.

Born June 27, 1920 in Carroll County, Mr. Wilson was retired textile worker with The Bibb Co. and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Sam N. Billingsley, 80, of LaGrange, formerly of Hogansville, died June 30, 1998 at his home.
Born March 11, 1918 in Bauxite, Ark., Mr. Billinglsey was the son of the late George Franklin Billingsley and Tempie O'Neal Billingsley. He was a retired antique car restorer and a deacon of Antioch Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for more than 28 years.
A funeral was held July 3 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Rev. R.C. Prescott and the Rev. Wesley Boatman officiating. Burial followed at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Mrs. Mary Catherine Blandenburg, 57, of Newnan died July 11, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Blandenburg was born Aug. 25, 1940 in Coweta County. A member of Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Newnan, she served as Steward, Trustee, president of the Gospel Choir, president of the Stewardess Board #2, supervisor of the young people's department and president of the hospitality committee.
In community service, she was president of the Krystallette Civic and Social Club, vice-president of the Joiles Femmes Civic and Social Club, past worthy matron of the Newnan Chapter 483 Order of the Eastern Star, and member of the Annie B. Gibbons Assembly, Order of the Golden Circle 367.
She was employed by Dr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Glover, the City of Newnan as a school crossing guard, Dr. and Mrs. Jimmy Thomasson, Ryan's Steak House and as chief manager of Coweta County elections.
A funeral will be Wednesday, July 15, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. The Rev. James Alexander will officiate, assisted by evangelist Alee McCleskey, the Rev. Huilet Arnold, the Rev. C. Melson and others. Interment will be in West View Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ruth Counts, 94, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, formerly of Newnan, died July 7, 1998 in Colorado.
Mrs. Counts was born Oct. 25, 1903 in Meriwether County, Ga. and was the widow of the late Lonnie Huff Counts.

Mrs. Eula Butler Smith, 76, of Hogansville, died July 11, 1998 at Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
A funeral was held Monday afternoon, July 13, in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Jim Sanders and the Rev. Carl Jiles officiated. Burial was in Shawdowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. Pallbearers were Steve Smart, Mark Smart, Joe Adams, Doyle Smith, Bruce Downing and Dwayne Thrash.
Mrs. Smith was born May 4, 1922 in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Enoch and Pearl Kittle Butler. She lived in Atlanta for a number of years before making her home in Hogansville in 1979 and was the wife of the late Truman Smith. She was the retired owner of Eula's Beauty Salon in Hogansville and was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Church in Harrisonville.
Survivors include son, Jerry Smith of Hogansville; sisters, Mrs. Ora Driver of Hogansville, Mrs. Laurine Robinson of LaGrange, Mrs. Judy Smart of Tucker, Mrs. Cassie Bowen of Graham, Alabama and Mrs. Arrie Skinner of Franklin; brothers, Griffin Butler of LaGrange, Denson Butler of Franklin and Travis Butler of Cumming; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williamson was born Feb. 1, 1919 in Hogansville, Ga., daughter of the late Luther Bishop and the late Jewel Strickland Bishop. She was a homemaker and member of Second Baptist Church of Riverdale, Ga.

Mrs. Chrystal Carley Starr, 88, of Atlanta died July 15, 1998.
Mrs. Starr was born in Newnan and was a 1931 graduate of LaGrange College, where she remained active in alumni affairs.
She served as a link trainer in the U.S. Army Air Corps and worked for 45 years with Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co., where she was the first woman member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and the first woman to become a certified life underwriter.
Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by husbands, Dorris Selman and William Starr.
A funeral will be Friday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Patterson and Son Spring Hill Chapel in Atlanta. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Lugenia M. Anderson, 77, of Hwy. 54, Moreland, Ga., died July 15, 1998 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga.
She was born April 25, 1921 in Greenville - Meriwether County, Ga. to the late John and Mammie Matthews. She was married to the late Obediah Anderson Sr. on Jan. 29, 1939 and they had 12 children, with one, Linda, preceding her in death.
A funeral was held Sunday, July 19, at New Friendship Baptist Church in Greenville, Ga. with the Rev. A. L. Birts, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. R. B. Sutton, Rev. Charles Patterson and Rev. Alonza Parks. Burial was in the church cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers were grandsons. Active pallbearers were nephews.

Mrs. Dorothy Vinell "Dodie" Gielow of College Park died July 16, 1998.
Mrs. Gielow was a member of Beecher Hill Baptist Church. She was a talented china painting artist and taught for many years. She was a long-time member of the Cascade Garden club. Above all, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Gielow, son John L. Gielow and great-grandson Harold R. Gielow.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21 at McKoon Funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m.
A funeral will be at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Mr. Joe W. Robertson
Mr. Joe W. Robertson, 81, a former mayor of Grantville, died Monday, July 20, 1998 at his home.
Mr. Robertson was born Feb. 11, 1917 in Grantville, son of the late Joseph and Effie Rosser Robertson. A lifelong resident of Grantville, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years, serving mostly in the Railway Mail Service.
He was a member of the American Legion and was a member of the Grantville First United Methodist Church, where he had served on the Administrative Board. Mr. Robertson served two terms as mayor of Grantville from 1988 to 1992 and served several terms as a city councilman from 1970 until 1988.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Darris Baker will officiate. Burial will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Steve Robertson of Grantville; sisters, Mrs. Eloise McKoy of Newnan and Mrs. Helen Payne of Savannah; and one brother, James Robertson of Decatur.
