Mrs. Jeanne Carter Stansberry, 80, of Union City died Sept. 6, 1998.
Born April 14, 1918 in Wilmington, Ill., Mrs. Stansberry was preceded in death by her husband, Troy A. "Buck" Stansberry, and her brother, W.R. Carter.
She was a member of the former Lakeside country Club, where she served as president of the Ladies Golf Association and won the club championship.
She was a member and past president of the Atlanta women's Golf Association and a six-year member of the board of the Georgia Women's Golf Association.
She was president of the Canongate on White Oak Ladies Golf Association and 1997 handicap champion. She was serving with Georgia State Golf Association, rating courses in Georgia. She played in the Southern Womens Golf Tournaments held throughout the southern states and was a member of West Georgia Golf and Middle Georgia Golf Associations.
She was treasure of the Christian Corners and the Order of the Eastern Star; a member and past president of the Atlanta Eastern Airlines Pilot's Wives Club and a member of Southwest Christian Church. She volunteered with Southwest Christian Hospice.
A memorial service will be Friday, Sept. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Southwest Christian Church of East Point.

Mr. John Patrick "Pat" Hubbard, 61, of Atlanta, formerly of Newnan, died Sept. 4, 1998 after a long bout with cancer.
Born Dec. 14, 1936 in Newnan, Mr. Hubbard was the son of the late Ewell J. Hubbard and Fannie Sue West Hubbard of Newnan. He was a retired sales engineer with Sony Electronics.
Mr. Hubbard was a pioneer in television broadcasting and production, where he worked for 31 years. He attended Georgia Tech and the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Hubbard was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Mrs. Jackson taught at Woodbury Elementary School, Westside High School and with the Hogansville City School System. She was a member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association, the Meriwether Association of Educators, the Coweta County Retired Teachers Association, the West Georgia chapter of Morris Brown College Alumni Association and Morris Brown National Alumni Association and a past president of the Meriwether County Association of Educators.
She was a member of the Christian Women Savings Club and the Interfaith Ministers' Wives Choraliers.

Born Oct. 28, 1933 in Newnan, Mrs. DeNoi was the daughter of Ann Tommie Beavers Johnson and James Mitchell Johnson. She was preceded in death by husbands, Harold Wesley Wright and Don D. DeNoi, and sons Donald M. DeNoi and David A. DeNoi.
Mrs. DeNoi graduated from Newnan High School and Harrison Draughn Business School. She worked as a teacher's aide in Newnan and West Palm Beach, Fla. and worked for Wal-Mart, including the store in Newnan, where she worked until she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December.

Born June 30, 1989 in Coweta County, Mr. Walker was a student at Newnan Crossing Elementary School.
The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Senoia, with the Rev. E.D. Hood officiating, assisted by the Rev. W.J. Johnson, the Rev. Adrian Smith and the Rev. Paul Gay. Burial will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery in haralson with Marcus Pope, Rafeal Walker, Deontae Snelling, Jonathan Walker, Eric Florence, Tyrone Brownlee and Jo Florence as pallbearers.
Survivors include Michelle Lavette Walker; brothers, Rodriquez L. King, Jalandis R. Walker; sisters, Ferdeja L. Wilkins, Nikida Reid; aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Marjorie Watson of Senoia died Sept. 17, 1998 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mavis Stevens
Mrs. Mavis Stevens, 83, of West Columbia, S.C., formerly of Hogansville, died Sept. 18, 1998 in White Rock, S.C.
Born May 2, 1915 in Cleburne County, Ala., Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late Walter and Lula Pike Stevens. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Hogansville.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Rev. R.C. Prescott, the Rev. Wesley Boatman and the Rev. Ed White officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday nights.
Survivors include her husband, Roland White of West Columbia; daughters, Lavis Stone of West Columbia, Reba Young of Somerset, Wis.; sons, Dolton White of West Columbia, the Rev. Ed White of Warm Springs; sister, Mildred Cammon of Lagrange; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
