Born Feb. 6, 1943 in Newnan, Mrs. Hayes was the daughter of the late Mildred Smith Hayes. She worked in human resources with Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Payne officiating.

Born Sept. 17, 1910 in Coweta County, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Edward Guy Cole and Minnie Fort Hunter Cole, the wife of the late Otis Fleming Jones Sr. and the mother of the late Susanne Cole Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, with Dr. Joel E. Richardson officiating.

Born Feb. 21, 1998 in Eatonton, Mr. Sutton was the son of the late John and Henrietta Sutton. He was retired from maritime service.

Mr. William Concard Alexander, 43, of North Mills Drive in Newnan died Nov. 6, 1998.

Born Dec. 2, 1954 in Fulton, County, Mr. Alexander was a plumber and a U.S. Navy veteran. A memorial service will be announced later.

Survivors include his step-father, Roy Duffey; mother, Mary Jean Duffey, both of Newnan; and sisters, Jeanine Piper of Colorado and Jerolyn Smith of Canton.

Mr. Eugene James Augustine, 54, of South Short Point in Newnan died Nov. 10, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.

Born Oct. 27, 1944 in Schofield, Wisc., Mr. Augustine was the son of the late Adam John Augustine. He was owner-manager of Taco Bell in Newnan and a U.S. Navy veteran.

The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, with Father Leo Herbert officiating. Pallbearers will include Ben Augustine, Blaine Squires, Jeffery Squire, Robert Squires, Steve Squires and William Squires Jr.

Born June 3, 1917 in Coweta County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Brown and Madgeline Alexander. He was a heavy equipment operator and a farmer.

A Baptist, Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army veteran.

The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 12, at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Ramah Baptist Church.

Mrs. Helen Tabb Wolak

Mrs. Helen Tabb Wolak, 78. of Moreland died Nov. 10, 1998 at Southland Nursing Home in Peachtree City.

Born Sept. 13, 1920 in Blakely, Ga., Mrs. Wolak was the daughter of the late Charles L. Tabb Sr. and James Clyde Tabb. She graduated from Blakely High School in 1937 and attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, earning a bachelor's degree in formal ceremonies.

After marrying Edward W. Wolak on Aug. 8, 1943, Mrs. Wolak worked as a private secretary for Holstun Ordinance Works in Kingsport, Tenn. and later was employed as supervising court clerk of the Appeal Department at the Fulton County Court House.

After moving to her grandfather's farm in Moreland, Mrs. Wolak was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church, the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society and the Moreland Community Historical Society. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991.

The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at Moreland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Whetston officiating. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery in Moreland.

Survivors include her daughter, Janis K. Wolak; of Barrington, N.H; son, James Andy Wolak of San Fransisco, Calif.; grandsons, Will Hart, Ben Hart, both of Barrington, Art Wolak, Ansley Wolak, both of San Fransisco; and brothers, Charles Lee Tabb of Dublin, Kenneth Tabb of Atlanta and Knox P. Mrs. Martha Helen Cassell Lish, 77, of Nashville, Tenn. died Nov. 6, 1998 in Nashville.

Born Jan. 17, 1921 in Coweta County, Mrs. Lish was the daughter of the late Thomas Cassell and Susan Elizabeth Cassell. She a retired secretary with the Nashville Health Department. She will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Survivors include her son, Arthur F. Lish, and daughter, Betty Sue Lish Majors.

Mr. Charles E. Capes, 67, of Moreland died Nov. 12, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.

Born March 8, 1931 in Nashville, Tenn., Mr. Capes was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tasker Lee Capes Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Moreland First Baptist Church.

Retire from Exide Corporation in Atlanta, Mr. Capes was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scout of America and as a volunteer firefighter in Coweta County.

The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Eley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.

Mr. Miron Ray Dukes, 80, of Nottingham Drive in Newnan died Nov. 12, 1998 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Born Aug. 8, 1918 in Carroll County, Mr. Dukes was the son of the late John Robert Dukes and Eunice Elvira Hardin Dukes. He was the husband of the late Sarah Pate Dukes and brother of the late Arvin Dukes and J.W. Dukes.

Mr. Dukes was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a retired interior contractor.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, with the Rev. Milton Hall, the Rev. Michael Ford and the Rev. Ralph Williams officiating. Born Sept. 22, 1922, Mr. Thomaston was the son of the late James Robert Thomaston and Lou Ellen Williamson Thomaston. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.

Sara Weldon Burke Weaver, 81, of Inglis, Fla. died Nov. 12, 1998.

Born March 25, 1917 in Lanett, Ala., Mrs. Weaver was the widow of the late James Curry "Ted" Weaver.

She was a founding member of The Evangelical Free Will Church of Inglis and a founding member of Yankeetown Women's Club in 1965. She started a duplicate bridge club with all proceeds going to scholarships for local students.

Mrs. Weaver was a licensed beautician for 66 years and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Johnson-Brown Funeral Home in Valley, Ala. will handle funeral arrangements. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Lanett Cemetery. Pastor Robert E. McCurry of Heritage Baptist Church in Sharpsburg will conduct the service.

Mr. David Brewster

Mr. David Brewster, 61, of Hampton, Virginia, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998 at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia.

Mr. Brewster was born July 7, 1937 in Newnan, son of the late Earlie Brewster who was from Greensboro, North Carolina, and the former Flora Slade from Irvington, NJ. Mr. Brewster was raised in Greensboro, NC and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force in active duty from 1956 through 1978. Mr. Brewster lived in Hampton, Virginia since 1972 and served as a civil service technician for the U.S. Navy after retiring from active duty.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Little Zion Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. Burial will be at Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton, Virginia.

Mr. Glen "Bro. Lo" Hardaway, 62, of Charlie Fuller Road, Grantville, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998 at his home.

Mr. David Brewster

Mr. David Brewster, 62, of Hampton, Va., died Nov. 14, 1998 at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Born in Newnan, Mr. Brewster was the son of the late Early Brewster. He was a retired a civilian engineering technician with a private company and with the U.S. Navy Fleet Technical Support Center. He served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force.

Clemence, David Anthony Brewster Jr.; stepgrandaughter, Thembekile P. Dube; daughter-in-law, Terri Brewster; son-in-law, Dominic P. Clemence; brothers, Wallace Slade, Walter Slade Jr., both of Newark, Perry Slade of Aurora, Ill.; sister, Marie Peak of Newark; brothers-in-law, Otis (Linie) Westmoreland Sr. of Statesville, N.C., Hubert Westmoreland, Howard (Alzetta) Westmoreland, Allen Westmoreland, Raymond Westmoreland, all of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Christine Turner of Greensboro; uncles; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pauline Robinson

Mrs. Pauline Robinson, 69, of Newnan died Nov. 14, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Robinson was born March 17, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 2:30 p.m. at Powell Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. R.W. Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery, with Leonard Person, Royce Watson, Alton Powell, Fred Brantley, Patrick Watson and Leroy Robinson as pallbearers.

Survivors include her children, Mary Helen Berry, Bobby Lee Berry, Royce Watson, Rebecca Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. John (Therese) Dobbs, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Robinson Jr., Gala Robinson, Frederick Robinson; stepchildren, Mary Frances Robinson, Raymond Robinson, Angela Wimbush; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Effie "Mildred" Bledsoe, 83, of Edmond, Okla. died Nov. 17, 1998 at Manor Care Health Services.

Born Aug. 24, 1915 in Coweta County, Mrs. Bledsoe was a retired seamstress with The Bibb Co.

The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with minister Alan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

The family will receive visitors from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Ronald Blesdoe of Milledgeville; daughter, Majorie (David) Carmichael of Edmond; and two grandchildren.
