Born Sept. 29, 1926 in Randolph County, Ala., Mr. Butler was the son of the late Enoch and Pearl Kittle Butler. He was a member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Church and a retired foreman with Wright and Lopez Co. of Atlanta.
The funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. Randy Kennedy and the Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with Steve Smart, Tim Smart, Mark Smart, Jeff Woody, Frank Woody, Steve Schriver and Nathan Lee as pallbearers.

Mr. Ruth Kelley, 85, of Marietta died Dec. 8, 1998 at Emory Adventist Hospital.
Born July 26, 1913 in Carroll County, Mrs. Kelley was the daughter of the late William A. Thompson and Hallie Sinyard Thompson and the wife of the late Aubrey Worth Kelley. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be Friday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill dean officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, with Alan Kelley, Bryan Kelley, Scottie Kelley Glenn Kelley and Todd Kelley as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ethel Poe, 90, of Mike's Lane in Sharpsburg died Dec. 8, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.
Born April 8, 1908 in Reynolds, Mrs. Poe was the daughter of the late Willoughby Earl Marshall and Ruby Inez Ingram Marshall. She was a homemaker and a member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be Friday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Watson Mills officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Macon.

Born July 17, 1915 in Fulton County, Mr. Sherrer was the son of the late Orrien and Lula Sherrer and the husband of the late Kathleen Sherrer. He was a self-employed carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Ed Harrington, 76, of East Broad Street in Newnan died Dec. 9, 1998 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Dec. 24, 1921 in Robertson County, N.C., Mr. Harrington was the son of the late L.B. Harrington and Cornelia Hammett Harrington. He was retired from the Coweta County Board of Education's maintenance and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran serving in the Normandy invasion.
A photographer and an artist, Mr. Harrington was a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan and of Coweta Masonic Lodge 60.
The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with Dr. Gene Tyre and the Rev. Don Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.

Dr. Henry C. Drake
Dr. Henry C. Drake, formerly of Newnan, died of cancer Dec. 14, 1998 in Anderson, S.C.
The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Homer Drake Sr., Dr. Drake was a graduate of Newnan High School and the University of Georgia. He earned a medical degree from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine and practiced in Newnan for several years.
He extended that practice to Peachtree City in the 1970s and retired later after suffering heart complications. Dr. Drake was a member of the Newnan Board of Education and team physician for Newnan High School athletic teams.
He was a member of the Newnan Rotary Club and Central Baptist Church and was Newnan-Coweta Man of the Year in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Grow-Drake; children, Marykate Drake of Macon, Katherine Ann Webster, Henry Cowart Drake Jr., both of Boulder, Colo.; granddaughter, Chandler Elizabeth Webster of Boulder; and brother, W. Homer Drake Jr. of Newnan.

Mrs. Nellie Mae Lewis, 92, of Watkins Drive in Newnan died Dec. 15, 1998 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1906 in Emanuel County, Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Jerry and Lonie Abernathy Hooks and the wife of the late Benjamin Franklin Lewis, She was the mother of the late Margaret Johnson and John Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis was a retired assistant cafeteria manager for the Coweta County School System.
A graveside service will be Thursday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, with the Rev. John Riley officiating. The family will receive visitors Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.
