William Randolph Liles
William Randolph Liles, born May 30, 1922 in Pierce County, Georgia, departed this life on November 15, 2005. After a distinguished military career in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, Mr. Liles retired to Monroe, where he was a plant manager for fifteen years at TomCo. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4421 and a charter member of Nathan Bedford Forrest Greys Camp 1656 Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Henry Ford Smith, 89 of Colbert died November 14, 2005. He was born September 22, 1916 in Washington County to the late Henry Stephen and Ida Bell Marshall Smith. Mr. Smith was employed as an insurance salesman for over thirty years, mostly with Independent Life Insurance Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Known as PaPa by his grandchildren, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
